Another mission, yes! Now I feel like I'm an important person

I turned around to see Blaine is still sleeping. Her face looks peaceful, I wondered what did she see in her dreams.

Beautiful...

After a few seconds of looking at Blaine, I slapped myself, I was so perverted back then!
I put on my uniform and then summoned a portal. The sound was so loud, usually opening a portal isn't that much. I hope I didn't ruin Blaine's sleep.

"Hmm..." Blaine moaned a bit but afterwards she continued to sleep. Wow, just like a cat, heheh.

Okay, back to Aldimnia!

Just when I arrived, a familiar face ran straight to me:

"Neir! Good job on saving her last night!"

"Sakhalin! Please don't scare me."

"Oops, sorry. But you should've seen the crew's look! One of them even fainted!"

"Fainted? Why?" - I didn't expect that to happened

"Cuz you saved her!" - The look on Sakhalin's face is even brighter.

"Wait, her? You mean..."

"The cat girl, DUH"

"WHAT?! You know?!!! Don't tell me you put one of those chips on my coat." - sometimes I can't even understand Sakhalin's actions, that's not nice when you put a chip on your best friend!

"Please don't get mad too soon, it was Mariesii's idea"'- Sakhalin made a cheeky grin, which just made my desire on punching her grew higher.

"Well, tell your Todomatsu-nii san to stop doing that kind of thing to me or else I'll punch him, and you too even if you didn't do it but you still get punched for being his sister." - Though I didn't mean it serious, Sakhalin was still pretty scared of my lines.

"Ok I get it."

As I got in the tower, a bunch of dudes cheered at me :

"Eyyyy good job yesterday." One of them patted on my shoulder

And yes, each of them gave me a pat, and well, it's a painful pat. Now I can't even walk.

Sakhalin, you freaking plant...

"Hey uhh Sanny?" A guy asked me (Sanny is my nickname, and though I hated it, I'm used to it)

"Hmmm?"

"Ruby wants to talk to you, and you know who that is"

Oh god, it's the boss. What have I do wrong in my last mission?...

I went into the Private Room and that's where only Ruby gets to work in. She's a very strict woman, and trust me, you don't want to hear her scold at you, she's like a Death Metal singer!

"I see you're here, Sanorez, please sit." - Said Ruby, in a very low-key voice

"Um.. Okay."

"Luckily, you're not in trouble today, so no need to worry, Sanorez."

Did she really said that?

"I-I'm not?"

"Yes"

Ruby let out a small smile. She took a deep breath and said :

"We knew about the cat girl last night. She's a rare type of animal, half cat and half human, with tricolor fur. Based on the price chart, a specie similar to her would cost the same price as a bag full of Pink Diamonds. In the other world she won't be safe, and here's the point I'm getting to, we're accepting her to the crew."

"What?!"

"I'm telling the truth."

I can't believe it, if Blaine stays here, she won't have to worry about getting caught anymore!

"Thank you boss!" - I shook hands with Ruby

"But that's not the end of it, I'm putting you two as partners, for an actual, serious mission." - Ruby's face changed. Partners? Blaine and I are going to be partners?!

"Listen carefully as I won't repeat this, Neir. You and the cat girl, your mission is to track down Aldimnia's creatures that are captured in the Opposite world and return them to us at the Central Lake. Of course, we'll instruct you in which one you will need to find, but that means you'll have to interact with the keepers and many more dangerous activities." - Every word of Ruby was stuck in my head, I knew that she's trusting me and I can't let her down.

"Ok, boss. I'll bring her here as soon as possible."

"Make sure she's ok" - Ruby said, looking me into the eyes

"I promise she'll be fine" - After then I greeted Ruby and went through the portal to go and get Blaine.

She isn't there...

"Blaine?! BLAINE!!" - I yelled out, but there wasn't a reply.

Maybe the building corner! She can be there!

I ran out and I saw Blaine, crying in the corner.

"Blaine! What's wrong?! Why did you leave?"

"I-I thought you left me..." - Blaine turned around, her golden eyes were now red, be cause of how long she have cried.

"I'll never do that!" - I said

"But you weren't there when I woke up, I was scared, I thought you're just the same as those kidnappers, you would go away to find sharp tools and to go back and rip my throat out!" - Blaine's voice sounded loose, it's like she was so afraid that she can't say much.

"Blaine... I'm not them. I do care for you, I'll never leave you for no reason." - Blaine stopped crying, now she's looking into me.

"Sorry... It's just.. Pressure has been going around me for ages" - Her eyes are now looking at the ground, as if she's ashamed for being wrong about me.

"Hey, it's ok, there's something I want to tell you to." - I said, wiping away Blaine's tears

"What is..it..?" - Blaine's face was full of curiosity

I sighed a bit, then I pull out all of my confidence:

  "Congratulations, you're now my partner."
