"P-partners?" - Though I can clearly heard what Neir said, I still had to listen again.

"Listen, Blaine, I know this might sound a bit surprising, but... My team, my crew on the other side of world is welcoming you to our group." - At this moment, Neir seemed really happy, but what did he mean by that?

"But... Why? Why am I welcomed? And who are your team...?" Great, now I sound so stupid, a dumb person who wonders about dumb things.

"I know you won't believe this" Neir chuckled, placing a hand on his forehead, "I live in a different universe named Aldimnia. I'm a member of the ACID team, our mission is to travel to our opposite world to save Aldimnian creatures from being captured and killed. Sometimes, we'd fight against some Aldimnian guys who traveled to the Opposite world in wanting to destroy it."

"Aldimnia... It sounds familiar in a way..." Weird, I heard that name before...

"Sure, that's what they all say" - Neir said, as if he's worried about me for trying to remembering where the name came from.

"Yeah, I guess. Wait, but what does ACID stands for?" - I asked Neir

"Aldimnian creatures in danger. We like to call it "acid" to make it sound more rad."

We walked back to Neir's home and that's when magical things happened.

Neir took a deep breath, he then took his gem off his coat and summoned some kind of thing, a portal ?

"Hurry up and get in, Blaine." - He pushed me lightly in to the portal, where there's a whole new world inside.

We finally got in, in front of us was a big tower with big pieces of glass tiled on to it neatly. It says "Ruby" on the tower based on the boss' name of his name (as explained by Neir). We walked inside the building.

"This is where I work" - Said Neir, looking proud - "now, my boss is waiting for me to bring you here. And don't be worried or shy, you're safe, in this world every living creatures are the same, no one is more or less. I'm sure Ruby will even get excited to see a "something" like you." After then, he patted my head.

We went to the elevator, after we got in, Neir pressed the button "21" on the level pad :

"You can see everything up there"

We came up to the highest level.

Neir said this is the place where only the boss, Ruby, gets to work, sometimes she'll only tell one of his members to get into her room to remind about their mistakes in the last mission.

"She can be real scary sometimes" - Neir was sweating heavily.

As we got into the Private Room, Ruby was still there, patiently waiting for Neir to come back.

"I brought her here, boss." - Neir bowed to Ruby.

"That's good", said Ruby. The woman stood up and take a close look at me, which was, slightly awkward. She made an assured look on her face before asking me what my name is.

"It's Blaine. Blaine Anclithius."

"Welcome to the ACID team, Blaine. I hope Neir told you about why you're here."

"Of course I did! I mean... Yes, I did my boss." - Neir was going full panic and afterwards he turned normal.

"Good. Blaine... Before you start your very first mission, we'll need to go through somethings" - Ruby said in a very strict voice, which was fine to me but Neir was sweating. A lot.

"First, we need to change your look." Said Ruby.

Oh great, now that I remembered, I haven't change clothes for ages. I always wear a purple hoodie with long sleeves, a black tank top inside and this pair of yellowish orange shorts. Not to mention a pair of sequined slippers (that I have stolen from a shoe store)

"Neir, can you bring her down to the girl's changing room?" - Ruby looked at Neir

"Yeah, sure. Come on Blaine" - Said Neir as he took my hand

When we got into the Changing Room, Neir said he's going out for a bit, he told me to stay still in the changing room until he comes back.

I turned around and find a basket full of clothes with a piece of paper written in bold letters : "Free to use"

What a good thing to know.

I start to dig in the basket to find some few clothes

Wow, I really don't have this "sense of fashion" thing.

Guess I'll try

It took a while, but I finally chose a few goodies.

  First, I put on a white tank top with black laces and a pair of shorts with golden outlines at the bottom and a pair of grey leggings underneath. I wore on a pair of leather boots and for the finishing touch, I wore on a white long coat with black long sleeves, plus a black belt and a small Ametrine stone on my neck.

I stood in front of the mirror, and there was it, me, in a new and different look.

Ugh, my hair! It still looks terrible!

I have always let my hair loose, and never combed it. It's scruffy as hell.

I washed my hair a bit. After letting it dry for a few minutes, I tied it into two pigtail rings.

Pretty good Blaine, you finally removed some crap out of you.

I heard a few knocks on the door :

"*knocking* Blaine! Are you in there?"

"Coming!" - I said as I opened the door

"Good, I was gonna - oh..." Neir didn't say anything afterwards. He was speechless, and kept looking at me

"N-Neir? Are you alright?'
