The corruption of tabana: what is going on?!

You and the hippie are moving aside the book cases with the box of bottles off to the side. Moving around the shelving units you see a green book catch your eye. After moving the last book shelf you look around for the book you saw for a minute or two, with the hippie eyeing you suspiciously. " bruh what are you doing?" " looking for a book" you say matter of factly. You then find the green book. The cover says in golden letters, greed and gluttony.

The hippie sees the book and backs away. " bro, I don't know where that came from but get rid of it." You eye the book greedily. " but it's such a gorgeous book, such fine leather binding with the golden wording, this is most appealing to the eye." You say. " okay, just don't open it. It might lead to trouble, besides we need to get Tim out of there" the hippie says gesturing towards the hatch. " you're right. Let's get him out of there."you say putting the book in a nearby backpack.

After sweeping the remaining books off the hatch Markus walked in. 'Hello, now what are you doing?' Markus thought out " we're trying to get Tim out from under this hatch." You say ' but he might have just walked out of here, he might not be in there.' Then the hippie spoke out " oh, trust me bro he hasn't left this building yet. I was just making a delivery and he doesn't usually skip these deliveries." 'Why does he never miss these deliveries of what exactly?' You eye the hippie just as you hear a scratching sound coming from a little away from the hatch but still beneath it.

" what was that?" You ask. " well I guess I better tell ya. You see Tim ran out of something called silvergrain" he says gesturing towards his box of bottles. " silvergrain is basically able to repel any curse that would affect ones body, such as ... lycanthropy."he says watching you an Markus. You say squeamishly " so t-Tim's a lycanththrope?" Markus doesn't seem surprised ' that explains what I hear down there, we better get going'

With the help of Markus and the hippie, you pry the hatch open. Peering down you see a few chests in one side of the room. You also see a bed in the corner. The bed looks like it's been slept in recently. You jump down with everyone. Suddenly you hear the scratching of claws of to your left.

You approach cautiously and look back to see the hippie walking with the box of silvergrain bottles. You can't recall when he got those but not really caring, just glad for a non lethal way to take down Tim. As you approach the wall you see the faint outline of a door. You get closer and open it gingerly. Inside you see a shelf with a lone book residing on it.

You get closer to the book and grab it off the shelf. Markus begins to look a little on edge and appears to be trying not to touch anything. You open the dusty tome not sure what to expect, You begin to read. ' dear journal, today is the waning crescent moon and still the shipment of silvergrain isn't here yet. I don't know if the room can hold it for much longer. I can only hope Tom manages to get the silvergrain here soon. I'm beginning to think maybe that leaving and going to the corruption would be better than staying here risking all these people, not to mention the ones who have already seen it. I can feel it already like its trying to claw its way out of my chest, may anabat help me.'

Shocked by what you just read you put the book back on the shelf. You turn towards the hippie and ask in a hushed voice "hey, is your name Tim by any chance?" He quietly nods his head. ' ok' you think ' so now we know his name'

You then see Tom approach a wall then open a door in the wall you didn't see before. Suddenly a flash of gray bolts pass and begins to claw at the hatch you came through. Recovering from the shock you grab a silvergrain bottle and shove the bottle in Markus's hands and then shove Markus towards the werewolf.

Stunned Markus flops onto the floor but somehow not breaking the bottle of silvergrain. Markus gets up and has a debt in his chest where the bottle in is residing.' Thank goodness he's not a solid elemental like earth.' You think. Markus then approaches the gray being in front of them. The werewolf turns towards Markus and lashed out at him with his claws. The claws pass right through but you heard something like stone being scrapped. Markus falls to a knee and as the werewolf is howling from the acid burns on his hand Markus, wincing, slowly goes to him and opens the bottle then dumps the contents into the beasts mouth.

The werewolf heaves and coughs and appears to be losing fur. Slowly but surely he is looking more and more like the man at the counter upstairs. But just as he looks human the fur begins to grow back. Tom grabs a bottle and chucks at Markus. Markus catches it and grudgingly pops it open and throws it into the werewolf's mouth. The werewolf chokes on it but coughs up the empty bottle. The werewolf fops onto his side as the hair slowly falls off.

Finally Tim wakes up and blushingly says " do ya have a spare shirt?" Then passes out.

Curious you walk back to the room Tim was in. Inside you see a gruesome sight. You see three coffins and a furnace. You open one nearby coffin to find some old sword that appeared to be made of mainly steel. You grab the sword and then close the lid. The next two coffins had a jar of ash in each. Unnerved you walk back into the room beneath the hatch. You gaze over Tim's sleeping body and lay a shirt that you can't remember carrying next to him.

Hello everyone! Surprise! I didn't forget that I had a book or anything, just extremely busy and my inner laziness choosing now to go ' eh, you don't NEED to write in that book anyways'. But I overcame it so I hope you enjoy the chapter(apologies if the story doesn't make much sense but trust me it makes sense later)
