"Mirror man" by Jack Stauber sounds kind of like @guessimdemons92 descriptions of DC having a mental breakdown
He's struggling and he needs to be seen but he has to be good enough before saying anything

"Cigarette Ahegao" by Penelope Scott sounds like Florida and/or California having a mental breakdown
They're super anxious and thinking they're messing everything up, leaning more and more into unhealthy habits and relying on temporary happiness from distractions because they can't handle their minds

"Rat" by Penelope Scott but it's Florida, California, and DC
California and DC are trying so hard, asking for changes, doing things on their own to fix it but it all just feels like they're screaming into the void
They're noticing how fucked all the people that are supposed to help them are
Florida has given up, he's seen it before and hates the thought that someone else could lie to him like that, he'll do something occasionally but he's seen too many steps back to want to try again

"Creep" by Radiohead but California is finally letting them go, refusing to waste anymore time on them
Deciding that if they can't acknowledge how hard he's trying, if they can't care about him, then they don't deserve him. 
He's going over everything, thinking about the times when he felt like he wasn't enough and just wanting control, to feel okay, to like himself, he wants them to care about him
but if they can't put the same energy in, then why should he?

They both struggle with confidence but DC always gives California a place, always lets him talk, he wants to go first, but he likes listening to Cali ramble, it's a sense of home
California reminds DC that he's in charge, he's the government, he has power and people have to listen to him
They'll criticize each other and push each other out of their comfort zones, but never with malicious intent
They know each other's limits and boundaries, they know when to back down, they do it because they want the other to succeed, to do well
Neither are perfect, but they love each other in their entirety
California loves DC, flaws and all, because that's DC, not just how he presents to the others, not just when he thinks he's at his worse, all of it, because that's DC
The same way DC loves Cali, not just how he acts talking about an interest, not just when he thinks he's at his worst, all of it, because that's Cali
They'll show exasperation, but never at each other, they don't really get mad at each other, they're sticking together, forever
because it's hard, but it's good, because they're together
