I'm not a vampire. Just to put it out there. I may have two very sharp canine teeth and I may be pale, but that doesn't mean I'm a vampire. My names Virgil Webb and I'm 23. I grew up in a small city before moving to a small village in England. But here's the problem: They obviously haven't seen me before, they haven't seen my looks change since I moved here 2 years ago and I pretty sure I'll stay looking like this till I start to get old, and they took one look at me, and dubbed me as the Vampire of their village.

Note to self: Don't make a dramatic living change and know you look different and might get looks.

I currently walk the streets in the middle of the day and watch each house lock their doors or pull the children out of the gardens. If I was a vampire, please, I wouldn't eat a child. Their disgusting, sticky, and too sweet to want to try and eat them. I'd go for the men. But I be damned. Everyone in this village is hella straight and too afraid of me. I continue walking until I reach the town centre.

No one was looking at me. They didn't even notice I was there. But half the town was here. But I was more confused at the fact women seemed to be in the middle, then couples and single men scattered around behind them. I layed low and slowly walked close to the building until I was standing behind a woman who looked unsure of the crowds up ahead. This is the closest I've ever been to a person before, since I moved here!

"What's going on?"

"Oh, there's this new settler who just brought the castle on the hill. He must be loaded and the plus he's ho-"

And... she's screaming. She had turned around to face me to talk, but as soon as her eyes met the sight of me, she started screaming.

People rushed forwards and pulled the woman back, people even hid their children behind them. AGAIN WITH THE CHILDREN! I understand why, but they are the last thing on my menu. I watched everyone scream harsh words at me and tried to get as far away from me as possible, I stood and watched. I was frozen.

Vampire
Monster
Deadly
Creep
Bad Omen
The usual. I think I heard a new one somewhere aswell.

That's when I saw him. The new settler. The 'hot and loaded' guy that brought the castle on the hill. The hot guy. He stood there, watching me. He was pale with a slight tan, His eyes looked brown from the distance, but they could be a different colour. A moustache on his upper lip and slick hair. From what I could see, he looked amazingly muscular and well built. These girls know their men, that's for sure. Our eyes met and he started walking over. Fuck. Women pulled at his arm to try stop him, but all he did was whisper something to them before they all let go. He made his way closer as I stepped back. He contuined fowards as I hit my back on the bricks of the building. He still made his way closer till we were face to face and inches apart.

HOT TOMATO, HE'S FUCKING HOTTER THAN THE SUN!!

Don't act gay, Virgil. Be straight, Virgil. Do the impossible, Virgil.

"So, you're the vampire of village?"

"No."

"Oh really? How come?" He tilted his head to side and... my heart exploded.

"Such stories as Vampires don't exist. It's all myth created to explain the unexplainable."

Great going, Virgil. Now he thinks your a know it all!

"How did you get such sharp canines?"

Gulping, I started to shuffle along the wall hoping to find an alley way to get down too be able to escape. "Genetics."
Did it again! Big word. Could have just said 'genes'.

"From?"

"My dads side."

"Ahh, okay." His voice was deep and it pulled me in, but he was probably straight, which is exactly how I should be acting. "What's your name, 'not-vampire'?"

I gulped. He wants my name? I don't think anyone in this town knows my name. "What's yours?"

"I asked first."

FOUND IT!!! "Yeah well, I need food and I should have been making my way home by now." Before anything else was said, I slipped into the darkness of the ally way. Again, it's midday and I manged to hide in a shadow in an ally. That says something about how densly packed these buildings are. I shifted around until I was at the other side and I soon made my way back to the opposite side of the markets and I walked up to a bread stall.

The baker backed up against the wall of his little, wooden stall with a frightened expression and pushed some homemade loaf infront of me. "Just take it." He whispered under his breath and I smiled slightly at him before putting the right amount of money infront of him and walking off. It wasn't that I was broke, I was very rich at my old town, but I brought the broken up house to save my money, but I didn't like not giving the market owners money. I continued to walk and the same thing accured at every other stall. The normal.

What wasn't normal... was that new comer. He wasn't afraid of me. Is he like me?

No. He's far to perfect. Bone structure? Check. Amazing body? Check. Eyes?! Check. Perfect teeth? Check. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM!!!! But perfect isn't the best. Theirs always a flaw.

I reached the feont porch of my house before I heard something I honestly didn't suspect.

"Virgil!"

I felt my shoulders stiffen as I was about to insert my keys into the lock.

"That's your name. Isn't it? Virgil Webb."

I heard footsteps up the path behind me until the voice was only a few steps away.

"Took me some digging around the towns people, but I got there."

My fear soon turned to anger as I turned around with death in my eyes. "Who are you?"

"I'm Remus King..."

______________________________

Months have gone by and Remus definatly had more to him then meets the eye. He's eccentric and bold and strong (mentally and physically) and my best and only friend. He was a flirt at start, but I told him to back off, stating I felt strange since I was very much stright. The real reason was because I knew I would fall head over heels for him. Truth be told, he didn't have to flirt for that to happen.

Ever since we started hanging out, the people were closer to me. Obviously still keeping back - thinking I'm a vampire, but obviously trying to get into Remus' view.

Things have gotten strange lately, though. An 'old friend' of Remus' had come down to visit two weeks ago...

And a woman was reported missing.

Remember the woman who started screaming at me the day Remus came to town? Her? Yep. There was a note saying she got up and left. Not wanting to keep living in fear of me. But others claim it was a murder: the note was to masculine and scruffy. Sexist much? But I see what they mean. I've seen that girls writing before: it was cursive and neat.

I don't trust this guy that Remus so obviously trusts. And don't say it's jealousy. It's not. You can understand my trust issues to others after being thrown in the dirt for so long, but this guy just isn't... normal. Where ever him and Remus came from through, it seems to be the place of beauty. Obviously.

Rolling my eyes at my own thoughts, I contuine my path up the old hill. Where the 'abandoned' and 'broken' castle lays. Where Remus lives. Pretty sure he doesn't know I'm coming. It's 11:56 pm and the sky is too dark to see anything and a cold chill is running up my spine.

I reached the castle and knocked. Nothing. Rolling my eyes, I push all my weight onto the door just to be able yo start moving it; which surprises me more to the fact that Remus can do it like all the weight is nothing. Once inside, I push it shut once more and look around. I've seen it so many timed, but it feels different when it's just me. Alone.

Snap. Laughter.

That noise did not sound nice. Healthy, even. Two voices. I slowly make my way towards the noise and I see a yellow glow gleam out of the open door to the living room. I go to step closer before a silhouette move to the door.

A tall man was stood tall infront of me and was staring down at me. A plan forming in his mind as I stared up at him in fear. Dean Delinquent - Remus's old friend.

"Hello~"

I didn't answer. I swallowed thickly before trying to push past him to Remus. They're hidding something and I need to know. I know Remus is back there. I can hear him moving around.

"Feisty."

"Let me through."

I glare daggers at him, but my feature soften when I heard Remus' calm voice.
"Who is it?"

"It's your boyfriend~"

"I'm not his-"
"Virgil, now isn't a good time."

What? Isn't a good time?! That's not like him at all.

"Isn't a good time? Remus, let me in!"

He didn't answer. I glared once again at Dean who turned into a smirk. He lent closer to my ear to the point he was breathing down my neck.

"Wanna see something... life changing?"

I feel sick. He moves away and my skin crawls. Thank god, Dean makes my fear go crazy. I stand helplessly infront of him, but his smirk only grows wider. Stepping to the side, I take a cautiously move into the room, but my eyes didn't leave him till I was at the door frame. I finally turned to the room and my mouth dropped. Not a single noise escaped, but my mind was screaming.

The missing woman was lying lifeless on the floor, blood pouring around her. Her neck was twisted violently and one of her arms wasn't even near her, but thrown next to her. The limb covered in bite marks and chunks of flesh gone. Her dress was drenched in her blood and I wanted to scream, but I couldn't.

And she wasn't the worst part.

Remus. He straddled her hips and sat tall, softly wiping the blood from his chin with the back of his hands. Ever so often, he would lick the blood off.

"Oh Remus~" Dean called, gaining his attention. Remus looked me straight in the eyes and his face fell. The whites of his eyes were inked black and the beautiful brown before was now a swirling red. His perfect teeth were now razor sharp like a shark's jaw.

"Remus..."
I watched in slow motion as he quickly threw himself up and grab me, pushing me up against the closest wall and pinning my arms above my head. It hurt. He's a thousand times stronger than I though and I felt my back and skull ache from the wood. I whimpered as felt my lower lip quiver.
"Please don't hurt me...?"

"Hurt you? Darling, never..." His voice was soft, until something dark invaded and his voice dropped low. "I need you to leave." Tightening his grip on my wrists, I let out a suttle 'ow' to which he immediately stepped back from. His eyes and teeth shifted back to their original appearance and I could blaintly see the sorrow painted onto his features. Dean floated over (not literally) and placed a soft hand onto Remus' shoulder; all I could do was watch as I had pulled my hands to my chest and tried to rub the pain away from my saw wrists.

"Remus. He's seen~."

"...Not him...He needs to leave."

"Remus King. Son to Bloody Mary and brother to Roman King I will not -by any chance- allow you to break a law of the 'keiriths code'."

Keiriths?

"I can't hurt him." Remus marched away and slammed the door and locked it. Stopping any possibility of my escape.

"You're breaking a law! You can't leave him with the knowledge of our existence!"

"Then I'll bite him."

Please no.

"Another law broken! The law stickly states that you can't turn someone unless your under the influence of something or have been given permission from a higher tsar."

Remus growled and tightly tugged at strands of his hair. The growl was loud and it only made my body shake, sinking to the ground beneath me. I watched intensly as Remus grabbed the fabric of Deans clothes; pulling the man closer to him with a flame in his eyes.

"I'm not going to hurt him! Not him."

"What's so special about him anyway?! He's just a human that no one will notice if he's gone!"

"Just some human? Just some human?! Deciet Jeane Delinquent, Virgil isn't just some human to me! He may be human, and he may be straight, but I love him and I will do anything to make sure people like you don't hurt him."

He chuckled. Dean chuckled before turning his head to me. "You think he's straight?"

"Yeah. He told me he is!"

"When did he tell you?"

Remus slowly let go before thinking back. "... when he told me to stop flirting with him 'cause it was making him uncomfortable 'cause he's straight."

Dean knows.

Dean tilted his head back and let out a false laugh before turning back to me and stepping closer. "I see what's going on... Oh Remus... he's not straight. Not even slightly."

"What...?"

I slowly backed away into the corner as Dean took a few steps towards me. Remus noticed and put his arm infront of his chest, holding Dean in place.
"He only said that because he knew he was falling for you, and every flirt you spoke made him fall harder and harder. But he then quickly learnt: flirting or not... he's in love with you."

Silence.

"How would you know that?"

"We're from different departments, King. You specalise in the unforgiving truth, and I, in lies. Him being here today now proved it. His anger to me washed away with the wind as soon as you spoke."

Remus smiled and walked behind Dean as the two stared at me. Different emotions displayed on both their faces.

"... So I can turn him then."

My eyes grew wide as tears fell from my lids. I don't know how to feel. Threatened? Fearful? Exposed to my personal information? Happy that Remus loves me? Scared for my own life?

"Turn him? Remus, did you not hear what I just said? It's against the law."

"Vengeance. This is what your doing. Isn't it?"

Silence yet again.

"You let Virgil in on purpose, knowing I have no choice. Knowing it's killing me. I knew you were here for a reason!" Remus scrunched his face up before stepping back. He paced around before looking at me. Both, Dean and I, stared at him. I have no idea what is going on, but I don't like it. This is not how I planned my night. "Virgil... come here."

Shaking my head 'no', I felt more tears stream down my face, but I didn't make a sound.

"Virgil... love? I'm not going to hurt you. I promise."

Love? That's a cute pet name...

Shaking, I managed to push myself up and move towards him. Each step was heavy and weighted down, but I was soon stood infront of him. Dean is right. I love Remus. Whatever he is, it doesn't change how Remus treats me. I trust him.

He sat down onto the couch and pulled me onto his lap by my hands. Once I was seated on his lap, he placed both of his hands on my hips and looked me in the eyes. His gorgeous brown mixing with my dull. He hushed his voice so Dean couldn't hear and lent closer to me.

"Is it true? You're gay?"

I nodded, not trusting my voice.

"And you love me."

I let out a small sigh. "..........yeah.."

"You want to spend the rest of internity with me?"

"How long's internity?"

"Baby... I'm 207 years old. I'm dead."

My mouth dropped as a gasp left my lips. I felt my back hunch over as my chest tried to crush my ribcage.
"H-how? The 'dead' being alive isn't possible. H-Highly illogical-"

"You sound like Logan Smith." Dean stated with a huff as he sat on the couch across from us. I shut my eyes to calm my thoughts and felt Remus move one of his hands from my hip.

"Dean. Shut up. I'm mad at you."

I sighed, but immediatly jumped when I felt Remus place a hand on my cheek. My eyes flew open before I realised he was wiping stray tears from my cheeks.

"Do you want to? I would say 'think about it', but I either get thrown under ground for a hundred years or you die...without coming back to life."

Biting my lip, I turn towards the corpse on the floor and Remus followed my gaze. "Don't worry about hurting people. You can survive 5 months without going hungry, some just eat for sport."

"So if you eat on the 1st of January, you wouldn't need to eat until that 1st of May?"

"Well, 1st of January to the 30th of May, but you have to eat in the June or you go on hunger overload."

Doesn't sound to bad.

"Does it hurt?"

"What hurt?"

"Dying?"

"It depends on the way you die... You up for eternity with me?"

I don't know why.......... but I nodded.

"What?!" Dean yelled as he stood up. "You can't be serious?"

"What do I have to lose?"

"Remus, it's against the law!"

"My brother is a ruler! I can keep Virgil in my room 'locked up' until I get a reply if I can."

Dean looked shell-shocked. His mouth open before he quickly closed it and stormed off. I turned my gaze back to Remus who smiled at me.

"You really want to do this?"

"Yeah... As long as you don't leave me."

"Darling, never."

"You also said about biting...?"

"I have to bite you before I kill you. If it's the other way around, you stay dead. Or if your neck was snapped then there's no bringing you back."

Confusing but okay? I turned my head back to the dead corpse and inspected her once again. Her neck was snapped and twisted. She's dead dead then. Not alive dead or dead alive.

"When are you gonna-"

"Kill you? I can do it now, but we are gonna have to hide you from the council until I can get a reply from my brother."

"But Dean-"

"Will help... he doesn't want you dead or even want to hurt you... he just wanted pay back because I turned him. I was scared of losing my best friend and I forgot to eat... so I bit him, before killing him. I was under the inflence of hunger so I wasn't put in the dungeons."

I lent my head onto his shoulder and let his smell waft through my nose.

"Do you want me to do it now?"

"Yeah."

Gasping, I felt the sharpness of the rows of his teeth pierce my skin. His shark like jaw biting into my shoulder. It was painful, but bearable. I gripped onto him like a life-line. Each gasp I made at the pain, almost seemed to make him put pressure on his teeth, biting harder. But I allowed it. Then everything went black.
