🎄 Blue Christmas (Dewey)

A/n: Okay, so, as I was thinking of what song to do for each triplet, I was sure that Dewey's was going to be the most upbeat of the three, but when mikeyfangirl811 suggested Blue Christmas, it sparked inspiration. So, instead of a happy, feel-good oneshot, you're getting this sad thing... Sorry...

By the way, this takes place before "Woo-oo!". So the boys and Donald are still living on the house boat.

Song: Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley (Though I'm listening/using the Lumineers cover)

Character: Dewey

~~~
Dewey sat, looking out the window as he thought about his mom. He missed her so much. True, they had their Uncle Donald, but that didn't keep him from thinking about what it would've been like if she was still there with them.
"I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so blue thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't mean a thing Mom, if you're not here with me"
he sang softly, looking up at the stars.
He could imagine all of them huddled around the fireplace, drinking hot chocolate. He envisioned his brothers and him hugging her.
A tear rolled down his cheek.
"I wish you were still here, Mom..."
I'll have a blue heartache for certain
And when those blue memories starts hurtin'
You'll be doin' all right with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas
(instrumental break)
"Dewey?" the eldest sibling quietly entered the room, and walked over to his brother, "What's wrong?"
"Do you ever miss mom?"
"Of course I do." Huey paused, trying to think of what to say, "It's gonna be okay, Dewey." he said, as he hugged his little brother.
"You wanna go get some hot chocolate?" Huey smiled.
"Yeah," Dewey smiled back.
They walked into the room where Louie and Uncle Donald were.
"Hey, Bro," Louie smiled, "I made you some hot chocolate." he said, handing a blue snowflake mug to Dewey.
"Thanks," Dewey hugged his brother, and sat down beside him. Huey followed suit.
"We'll always be here for you. No matter what." Huey smiled.
And when those blue heartaches start hurtin'
I'll have a blue memory for certain
And you'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas
Maybe it would be a blue Christmas, but Dewey had his brothers and Uncle Donald, and though he missed his mom, they were all he really needed.
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas
A/n: It was really short, but
         1) The song doesn't have that many lyrics
         2) I couldn't really think of anything else to put...
But either way, I hope you enjoyed it, even though it was sad...
Also, I had to screenshot all the pictures for the last three chapters, and it took me forever to find good shots of the boys 🙄
Next up is a Christmas special if I can get it done in time...
