Camping- Ending 1
(I ❤ Comments 😄)
Huey's POV
I watched as my brothers walked away from me, my arms outstretched towards each of them. I tore his vision away from them and looked at the ground.
"Fine! I don't need you guys here! See if I care!" I shouted, my eyes closing tightly and my hands turning into fists.
I sat down on a log with a small huff. "They'll be back in ten minutes." I muttered, my elbows resting on my knees and my head resting on my hands.
I was wrong. Ten minutes went by, and nothing. Ten more, still nothing. When I had finally been waiting for my younger brothers to come back for half an hour, I stood up and looked in the two directions that they ran off in.
I took in a deep breath, but before I made up my mind, I heard a branch snap loudly, making me turn around quickly. Nothing.
"P-probably my imagination....right?" I stuttered. I heard another loud snap, but closer and in another direction. I closed my eyes tightly, afraid of what might jump out, but nothing came. It was as if everything in the forest had gone still.
I heard a low growl right behind me, making me start to run off in the direction that Louie ran off to. I continued to run, the sound of leaves being crushed were heard as I stepped on them.
I looked behind me, but ended up bumping into something. I fell down from the impact and when I looked up, I saw my baby brother. His hoodie was torn and his face had a few scratches on it, along with his legs.
"L-Louie?" I asked quietly only to have him look away. "Lou, are you okay?" I asked again. I was suddenly jumped on by him being pulled into a hug. "Awe, Lou. What's wrong?"
"I-I saw it...." He whispered.
"You mean-?" My baby brother nodded. "Lou-Lou, what happened?" I asked, looking down at his clothes and then up at his face.
"I...f-fell..." He claimed.
"Oh Louie. Come on, can you stand up?" I asked him, but he shook his head.
"I wanna go home." He whispered.
"We need to find Dewey first, then we can go home." I explained.
He nodded once again and with that, we begaaan walking in the opposite direction. After fifteen minutes of walking, ten of those minutes being breaks that Louie had called for.
"Louie, come on, no more breaks." I smiled softly at him, trying to encourage him to keep moving. "The ssoner a find Dewey, the sooner we can go home." He whined softly and looked down.
"Fine..." The forest around us was dark, too dark. We had been walking in there for thirty minutes, which only caused my baby brother to whine more. I turned around to face him as I walked backwards carefully, but tripped on something. I looked up and saw my little brother looking up at me. He sat up straight, hugging me tightly. I hugged him back almost immidiatley.
"Y-You found me..." I saw my baby brothers tear up, Louie joined in the hug not too long after. I heard Dewey sniff and felt him hug me tighter.
"Hey, it's okay Dewey. You're okay." I said softly. Louie found his way into the middle of the hug, so we were both hugging our baby brother and each other.
"I-I was so scared. Please don't leave me alone again." Dewey began crying softly as we hugged.
"It's okay Dew, we won't leave alone. I'm sorry you two, I didn't mean to scare you."
"It's okay Hue, just, don't do it again." Louie said in a whisper.
"A-and next time listen to us when we say we saw s-something." Dewey continued. I smiled softly at them and nodded.
"Okay....let's go home." I could practically feel my brothers' smile fill the dark forest. I stood up, helping them up as well. Dewey fell a bit, leaning onto both Louie and I for support. "Hey, you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah," He took a deep breath. "I-I'm fine, just twisted my ankle is all." I sighed softly and put an arm around him for support, Louie doing the same.
"We got you Dew, let's go." Louie said quietly. He seemed to be pretty sleepy. Dewey smiled and leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Tired?" I asked.
"What do you think? I had a run in with a monster, twice and I twisted and I think I'm getting sick." He sniffed as he spoke. I chuckled as we began walking out of the forest.
"What about our stuff?" Louie asked quietly.
"Forget it." I muttered. "Let's just go home so you two can be safe and warm." Dewey and Louie smiled. Not too long after, we made it back to the manor. Donald rushed up to us to see if we were okay, and that's when we were not allowed to go anywhere unsupervised.
