Arcade Trip- Beginning
Dewey took a deep breath of the air around him.
"Ah, I love the smell of new arcade in the morning."
"Dewey, it's noon, and please don't smell the arcade, you don't know what could have been here before this." Huey warned.
"Come on guys, let's just play some games. I mean, have you ever seen an arcade with classics like Dig Dug, Galaga, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Tetris and the games give you tickets for prizes." Louie said excitedly.
"I know, and you use real quarters instead of those game cards that you slide." Dewey added. Louie had strayed off in the games he had listed earlier, he repeated each of them again out loud.
"Dig Dug, Galaga, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Tetris.......Tetris!! See you guys at five, I'm going to play Tetris all day." Right as Louie began walking away, his older brothers grabbed his hood and pulled him back.
"Oh no you don't, you know what Uncle Donald said." Huey stated.
"Yeah, I know, I know."
"Stay together." The three of them said in unison. Louie sighed.
"Fine. Come on then, let's go play some games." The boys wandered around the arcade from game to game, and room to room. The arcade consisted of six rooms, all that surrounded the prize room in the center of the arcade. The arcade opened up to a room filled with classics, such as the ones named earlier by Louie. Following that room, were the games where you had to either make music, or dance to music. The next room was a room filled with pinball machines. Then was a room that had, belive or not, console games. The second to last room had games that were purely based on luck and skill. Finally, the last room had claw machines and key pushers.
"This place is SO AWESOME!!!" Dewey yelled.
"Quiet down Dewey, people are giving us weird stares now." Huey looked around at the people.
"Whatever, it's your turn to choose a game."
"Okay, what about...." Huey looked around at the room, they were in the luck and skill room. "What about Speed of Light?" Dewey tilted his head.
"Speed of Light? But Huey, um, y-you suck at that game." Huey looked down. "But, I guess if we work together we-"
"No, I'll play by myself. I know I can win." Louie laughed softly while looking down at his phone. Huey crossed his arms. "You don't think I can do it." The youngest triplet looked up.
"Not, necessarily, I mean, you can try." Huey laughed sarcastically.
"I don't need to try." He boasted, walking towards the game and put his coins in.
"Um, good, luck?" Dewey called out.
"I don't need it Dew." Dewey rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, whatever." The game started and lights began to appear randomly. Huey hit the lights, missing most of them in the process. Louie couldn't help but snicker quietly as he watched his older brother fail miserably at the game he was so confident about winning just a few moments ago.
"Stop laughing." Huey looked back at his brothers causing him to miss the final light. "Nice going, I lost.....and only got ten tickets."
"Don't blame us, we offered to help." Dewey crossed his arms.
"Yeah, sure.....it's your game next." Dewey rolled his eyes once again and walked around, in search of a game.
"I'm gonna play the Big Bass Wheel." Dewey walked over to the game. He put the coins into the game and waited for the wheel to count down from three before spinning the wheel. He spun the wheel, the power just a bit ways past the red section. The wheel continued spinning until it landed on forty five tickets. "Yes!" He cheered softly.
"Nice job Dewey." Louie pat his brother's back. Huey watched his brothers with crossed arms. He rolled his eyes away from them. He turned back to look at them and walked towards them.
"Let me have a go." Huey stated.
"Hey! It's my turn to choose a game." Louie claimed.
"Yeah, yeah, after this." Huey waved his brother away. Louie glared at him as he stepped back. Huey played the game, winning the four tickets located by the hundred tickets win. He crossed his arms and turned his back to the game. Dewey laughed behind his hand.
"Nice job." He snickered.
"Shut-up Dewford." Louie watched as his brothers glared at each other.
"Know what, I'm gonna go play Spin 'n Win." Louie began walking away, Dewey pulling him back.
"Not without us." He stated.
"Ugh! Fine!" Louie growled. The triplets made their way to the game that Louie had named earlier. "Aw man! It's out of order." Dewey smiled softly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Why don't you play Mega Stacker? You're good at that game." Louie nodded and headed towards the game. He put his coins in and glued his eyes to the digital square. Huey took his phone out as he waited for Louie to finish, knowing they would stay there until he won the mega prize. He smiled while looking at his phone.
"Hey Lou." Louie kept his eyes on the game, just getting past the minor prize with two squares.
"What is it Huey?" The eldest triplet put his phone in front of Louie's face.
"Check this out." He grinned.
"Ew! Huey! Get that away, you know I hate hot dogs!" Louie pushed the phone away and accidentally pushed the button, causing him to loose the game. He groaned and face palmed. "I was so close this time." Huey laughed and shrugged. Dewey jabbed his side.
"Not cool Hubert." He shook his head. Louie looked down at the ground. "It's alright Lou, you can have my turn next time." Louie smiled softly.
"Thanks Dewey." The middle triplet gave his younger brother a light hug.
"My turn!" Huey smiled. "Let's go to the next room."
"Aren't there claw machines in there?" Louie asked. Dewey nodded. Huey made his way into the next room.
"I don't even want to know how this round is going to end." Dewey admitted out loud. Huey over heard and scoffed softly.
"Whatever Dewey." He muttered. He made his way over to a small claw machine with little plushies shaped like hearts and stars. He took a deep breath and moved his eyes to the right, trying to get a glance at his brothers.
"Hurry up Huey." Louie crossed his arms and watched his oldest brother play the game.
"Don't rush me!" He glared at Louie for a second before turning back to the claw. He maneuvered it around until it hovered over a blue star. He pushed the down button and watched the claw drop, picking up the plush. He smiled as he watched the star fall into the prize slot.
"Nice job." His brothers congratulated. Huey smiled at them.
"Thanks." He held the plush in his arms, then looking down at the ground after his brothers walked past him.
"Which claw are you choosing to play Lou-Lou?" Dewey asked.
"Don't call me that in public Dewey." Louie looked around and saw a claw machine with small cat plushies. "Oh my gosh." He rushed over to it and stared at the toy cats inside. "They're so cute." Dewey laughed softly, causing the youngest triplet to clear his throat. "I-I mean, um, cool?"
"Nice try Lou. Go ahead, I won't judge." Louie blushed lightly and turned to the game. He put the coins inside and moved the claw around until it was over a small gray cat with blue eyes. Dewey watched over his younger brother's shoulder. Louie became a bit nervous with someone watching, the cat slipping out of the claw.
"Darn it."
"It's okay, you have another shot remember?" Dewey stated with a soft laugh directed towards his disapointment. Louie nodded and put more coins into the machine. He went for the same cat, this time grabbing it, along with another white cat.
"Oh my gosh!" Louie exclaimed when the two plushies stayed put on the claw.
"No way!" Dewey laughed. The two small cats fell into prize shoot. Louie smiled wide as he held the two soft toy cats close.
"This is amazing." He closed his eyes as he hugged the little plushies to his face. Louie opened his eyes, realizing that he was showing his love of cute things in public. He blushed, and looked down. "Where'd Huey go?" He asked quietly.
"Don't know. We should go look for him." Louie nodded in agreement. They searched for Huey all around the arcade, but couldn't find him. "Ugh! He's starting to get on my nerves, and if he's moving around behind us, I swear!" Dewey turned around and didn't see Huey.
"Where is he!?" Louie asked, slightly irritated. He squeezed the small cat plushies in his arms.
"Hey, no need to harm the poor cats." Dewey joked. Louie laughed a bit, releasing the grip on the toys. "Come on let's go find our brother."
"Do we really have to?"
"Yes." Dewey sighed. "I know he was being, rude, but he's still our brother." Louie sighed as well, nodding as he followed Dewey around the arcade. Where was Huey?
