Aquaphobia- Ending 3
The two entered the room and saw Louie sitting on his bed as tears streamed down his face. His breathing was heavy and his eyes were wide. Huey and Dewey looked at each other. 'What do I do?' Dewey looked around nervously. Huey was about to go and comfort Louie once again, but Dewey stopped him. "I can handle this one." The middle triplet walked towards his younger brother and sat next to him. "Louie? You're gonna be okay. Alright? Just keep your breathing steady, in, and out." Louie did the small breathing excersises. "Good job, everything's okay, just breath, in and out, good." Louie looked at his brothers, the tears disappearing from his eyes and his breath becoming steadier as Dewey talked to him.
"Guys....." Louie muttered.
"What is it Lou-Lou?" Huey asked sitting down next to his brother on his bed.
"I.....I-I'm scared.....I know I don't really say that, but, I'm really really scared."
"Louie-"
"I can still feel everything.....everything." Louie stopped talking before he could freak out again. "I don't know what to do."
"Um, when I was looking online, I found a few things that might help." Huey answered.
"What is it?" Dewey and Louie asked.
"Well, we can get your courage back by starting small, you can start by being in the same room as water." Louie nodded, slightly nervous. "Then, you can sit next to water and afterward, if you're comfortable with it, you can put your hand in water."
"Th-that sounds like too much!" Louie hid his head under his pillow.
"Hey, hey, it's okay, you can get through this, we'll be there with you." Dewey encouraged. He grabbed his brother's hand and held comfortingly. Louie sighed shakily.
"Okay.....but.....next week." Huey nodded and smiled lightly at Louie. Louie smiled back softly. The following week came in a flash, the rest of the family knowing of Louie's phobia at that point. It was now time to start the training for Louie to get over his fear. He walked nervously towards the room his brothers told him to meet him in. He was about to knock on the door before getting pulled inside. "Woah! What was that for!?" The duckling yelled.
"Sorry." Dewey apologized.
"Hey Louie." Huey greeted.
"Um, hi Hue. What are we doing today?"
"You're going to sit next to this." Huey placed a cup down on a small table.
"A cup?" Louie asked.
"Not just any cup." Dewey added.
"A cup filled with water." Huey finished.
"Filled with, water? I can't do this, I'm out." Dewey grabbed Louie's hood.
"Not so fast Llewelyn." Louie groaned.
"Fine, but you're staying here with me."
"Of course." Huey responded. The exercise went perfectly, sure Louie got a bit nervous, but even after that, everything was fine. The following day Huey had Louie put his hand in the sink, while the water was running. This one didn't go as well however. Louie began crying when he felt the water and Dewey had to stand next to him and hold his hand while comforting him. After a month or so of exercises, Louie's fear had gone away. He was happier than before and willing to do chores and help out around the mansion. His brothers were especially happy, they were now always by each other's sides, more than before and they took care of each other. Everything was perfect at McDuck manor.
