DHIKR OF THE DAY,
Salawat on Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Allahumma salli ala muhammadin wa 'ala aali muhhammidin kama sallaytha ala Ibrahim, Wa 'ala aali Ibrahim innaka hameedun majeed,
Allahumma baarik ala muhammadin wa 'ala aali muhammadin, qama baraktha ala Ibrahim wa' ala aali Ibrahim innaka hameedun majeed.
40+ times.
BENEFITS/MERITS
• The following benefits are related by various scholars and have been derived from multiple Hadith.
1) It is a means for the love of the angels, their support and their greetings
2) It is a means for his intercession صلى الله عليه وسلم
3) It leads to freedom from the hellfire and being safe from hypocrisy
4) It is a purification for his wrong actions
5) It leads to being near the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم on the Day of Resurrection
6) The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم returns the salaam of the one giving salaam
7) It erases wrongdoings like water erases fire
8) One ṣalawāt wipes out sins for 80 years, the guardian angels do not record sins for 3 days
9) It is a means for salvation from the terrors on the Day of Resurrection
10) It brings the pleasure of Allah
11) The reciter will be under the shade of the Throne of Allah
12) The reciter won’t feel thirst on the Day of Resurrection
13) He will see his place in Paradise before he dies
14) It acts as a charity
15) The one who recites 100 ṣalawāt daily will have 100 of his needs fulfilled; 70 in
the Afterlife and 30 in this world
16) It increases the reciter in love for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
