Tw: injuries, mentions of blood, cyanide poisoning
Quackity knew he had to pick. There was no backing out now. "I-I'll get more involved..." his voice shook as the card whipped itself clean, and a new message was written out.
Go get two more.
Quackity:<I need to more people to play this game with me>
Tommy:<YESSSSSS>
Tubbo: <I'll play too!>
Quackity wanted to say no, they were to young, to innocent, he had no typed out on his phone and pressed send,, but his eyes went wide as he read what had been sent.
Quackity:<Come over!>
"No!" He screamed. He didn't want to hurt these two, couldn't anyone else but a minor be here to play? "Not them!"
You chose this.
He threw the card, it did no good.
"Hey big- what the actual heck happened?" Tubbo was taken aback by the sight of Big Q crying and bleeding.
"Please leave. Not you," he shook as his card reapeard beside him.
Too late.
The door was shut by the same invisible force that took Karl and Sapnap. "I don't think we can, what happened?" Tommy stepped forward, tossing a splash potion of health above them to help.
"This game...it's cursed of some crap. I don't know. It came out of no where and once you join you can't leave. You've joined the game. You can't leave."
"I think we're gonna go anywa-" tommy smacked face first into the invisible force, stumbling back, "never mind then..."
"How bad could it be?" Tubbo said lightly and grabbed a card.
Drown or shot?
"What's it say?" Quackity asked, staring at Tubbo.
"All it says is drown or shot...is neither an option?"
"No, says in the rules."
"You didn't show us the rules, idiot," Tommy held out his hand and Quackity handed them to him. "Oh boy. You didn't think this was a bad idea when reading this?" He handed the rules to Tubbo, who read them over with a bit more struggle.
"I didn't think it'd get morbid."
"That's fair," he nodded, "so what'd ya pick Tubzo?"
"I dunno, now I'm concerned what would happen."
Time's ticking.
"Oh no, it's talkin' to me," his eyes widened as he read over the changed words. "Um- I dunno, I guess shot? I-" their phones buzzed with a notification.
<Fundy was shot by a skeleton>
"Was that-? Did I-" Quackity nodded and Tubbo looked like he was going to cry. "That was me?" Quackity nodded again, not wanting to speak or he'd start crying too.
"Who's turn? I want this over with," Tommy was starting to really get a sence of how this game would play out.
Would you rather lose your favorite item or favorite human?
"It says lose your favorite human or item. I guess item, since I don't want to ever live without Tubbo," Tubbo smiled but it faltered when the pop an item leaving an inventory echoed through the room. "Wait-" it clicked in Tommy's mind what his favorite item actually was. He searched through his inventory as mild panic built in his stomach. "The disc is gone-"
"We worked so hard to get it back!"
"Welcome to the game." Quackity drew another card.
Would you rather lose an eye or your tongue.
"What the heck man? Why does it always gotta be this creepy!" He shouted, "and eye," He mumbled, and waited.
"What's supposed to happen?" Tommy whispered after a few seconds of silence. His question was answered by the invisible force slicing a sword across Quackity's face. He cried out in pain and held a hand over his left eye. Both boy's had jumped back, eyes wide in shock. "Don't just stand there!" Tubbo tossed Quackity another health pot to help.
"Next. Card. I want this over with," He growled and nudged Tubbo. He grabbed the card an read it.
Give all his injuries to someone else, or let him suffer?
Without thinking he answered, "someone else!" And whipped his head to watch as Quackity's injuries glitched out of existence.
"What was the question?" Tommy hesitantly asked with wide eyes.
"It was- um," Tubbo realised what he had done and knew it shouldn't have been his call to make, but he wanted all of Quackity's pain gone it just felt right. Now all he felt was guilty, "it asked me if I wanted to let Quackity suffer or give his injuries to someone else...I choose-"
"You chose to give them to someone else I know, you should have asked me!" Quackity shouted. "I would have been fine!"
"But-"
"I get it!" Quackity's angry expression fell as he looked at the guilt on the boy's face, "I get that you wanted me to be okay. I'm grateful for that. But that wasn't your call."
Yes it was.
Tubbo gasped as the letters rewrote themselves and threw the card, "it keeps talking to me!"
Quackity walked over, no longer stuck in his place due to the missing toe, and picked it up.
It was his card. Not yours.
"Great. Whatever, my turn," Tommy said as he rolled his eyes at the changing card in Quackity's hand. He drew the top card and scrunched his eyebrows as he read.
Would you rather live in darkness, or feel live bugs are crawling on you at all times?
"Darkness or bugs for the rest of eternity. Um..darkness I guess. It's not as bad as-" his world went black. "Holy-" he looked around, barely able to see a foot infront of him. "I can't see!"
"Oh, really? Wonder why," Quackity said in a mocking voice, laughing.
"Oh shut up."
Quackity picked up a card and read it over, just like he had done for the past however many cards. He stopped keeping track.
Would you rather drink human blood or cyanide?
"Oh heck na man, why me every time with the morbid question?" Quackity set the card down, taking a deep breathe. "I'm going outside to answer this. I'm sorry you two, I really am," he stood up, taking his card with him.
"Wait why?" He didn't answer Tubbo's question, deciding it better then ending up breaking the two's heart now. Outside he stared at the card.
Tick Tock
"Okay okay. You know my choice. Hope. Your. Happy." He lowered his head as he mumbled, "Cyanide," but he still gasped when a shot glass full of a suspicious liquid appeared in his view. Before he could stop himself he picked it up and threw it back, gagging at the taste of bitter almonds.
At first nothing seemed to happen, but eventually he noticed it was getting harder to breathe and his heard was pounding. He sat himself down, being exhausted but not knowing why. Eventually he couldn't catch is breathe, feeling like he couldn't get enough air. And then it stopped.
He shot upward to see he was in spawn box, his hands transparent.
<Quackity died due to magic>
Tommy stared wide eyed at his communicator as he saw the death message, "Tubbo. He was on his last life." Tubbo's eyes widened as he realised what that ment. "Tubbo," Tommy set his communicator down, "we're alone with the game."
Tubbo, scared out of his witts, took his card.
Would you rather break an arm or a leg?
"What's it say?" Tommy attempted to look at his friend, ending up looking at the table a few feet away from his friend.
"It asks me if I would rather break an arm or a leg. I guess and arm since a leg would-" he yelled in pain as his dominant had was grabbed and twisted in an unnatural way, a loud snap echoing through the room.
"Tubbo!" He tried to walk over to his friend, reaching his hand out to hopefully find him. Finding him, he sat down, "how can I help?" He could barely see his friend kn the dark mist that surrounded him, but he was holding his arms to his chest.
"Potion," he was squeezing his eyes shut to hopefully not cry, but he had tears running down his cheeks. Tommy searched his inventory, but didn't find anything. He got up and stumbled over to a chest and looked through it, but still nothing.
"There isn't one. I'll go get Niki!" He got up and made his way to the door.
"No! We can't get her involved in the game. Just pick your card, I'll be fine." Tommy shook his head, not wanting to leave his friend in pain but knew he was right.
He patted around in the floor for the stack, finding it he picked his next card.
1 or 2
"I don't even get an option, um, 2 I guess," he waited not being able to see if something happened.
"Oh my gosh, Tommy!" He heard his best friend scramble forward but it was to late. A blur of grey crossed his sight before a stone sword was impeded in his chest. He didn't even have time to react, say goodbye to his friend, do anything, before he was in spawn box. His body was transparent and his memories gone.
Tubbo stared at the spot his friend had been just seconds ago. He knew Tommy was on his last life too.
"I quit!" He shouted, "I'm done with this stupid game, I never should have played! I QUIT!" He was angry, hurt, and broken. But regret was added to that as an invisible force grabbed him and dragged him out of the room screaming.
87 cards left
Right! That was a bit dark, but so much fun to write. I'm assuming you read Moon's first two chapters first so you know what's going on. It was a brilliant idea so make sure you show them lots of love for it!
I hope you all have a lovely day/night and know you are loved to pieces <3
