"Chris, do you know how infuriating this is? Seeing you two sidestep your confession to each other?" 

"Jess, there is no way he feels the same way about me" 

"...After TwO aNd A hAlF hOuRs, of pure EvIdEnCe that he does like you back, THAT'S YOUR RESPONSE?!?!" 

"Jessica! Keep your voice down! Jeez!" 

Chris and Jessica were walking through the halls of the Justice Reigns HQ, talking. The battle trainer had recently told Jessica about her crush on Dream's right hander, but had a bit of trouble believing that he actually liked her back, even after two and a half hours of evidence that he did, which was provided by Jessica. 

"Girl! Take a chance for once!" Jessica cried. 

Chris rolled her eyes and smiled at Jessica's dramaticness. 

"For the record Jess, I do take chances" she said. 

"Battlefield tactics don't count in the fields of love and romance!" Jessica replied, dramatically clutching her chest while wearing a lovesick expression. 

"Sure they do, how do you think the 'enemies to lovers' idea came around?" Chris told her with a smile. J

essica opened her mouth to say something, before she could, the two rounded a corner, and ran into Ink and Dream. Well, Chris and Ink ran into each other. 

Jessica and Dream both managed to stop themselves before they ran into each other. 

"Oh, um, sorry" Chris said quickly, while taking a few steps back. 

"No, I'm sorry, wasn't paying attention to where I was going" Ink replied, with a side glance at Dream, who was watching what was going on with a knowing smirk. 

After a couple seconds of awkward seconds, Jessica spoke up, now having enough. 

"Oh my god, just confess already you two!" she cried. 

Dream couldn't help but chuckle a bit as Chris and Ink both gave her light glares. 

"Well, as much as I would like to stick around for this, me and Ink do have some important matters to discuss regarding the council meeting" he said. 

"Right, um, guess we'll get out of your way" Chris said. 

As Dream walked by, Ink stopped beside Chris. 

"Meet me at my office around eleven" he whispered in her ear before he went after Dream. 

Chris looked after him for a few seconds before a small tug on her cardigan jacket sleeve pulled her back to reality. She looked over to see a smirking Jessica. 

"What did he say?~" she asked. 

Chris smiled a bit. 

"Nothing too important" she replied before she continued walking...

-small time skip- 

Chris let out a soft breath before knocking on the door. 

"Its open!" she heard Ink call from inside. 

She opened the door and slipped into the office, closing the door behind her. 

"So, what did you want to see me about?" she asked. 

"Well, two things, actually. Number one, Dream wanted me to tell you that he wants you to take Jessica out for her first field mission. But all he wants you to do is gather information, with no undercover things" Ink told her. 

"Alright, I can do that. It would be good experience for her too" Chris said. 

"And, I asked you to come here for, another thing" Ink said, standing up and coming over to her. 

Chris now waited for his next move with a slightly confused expression, which, from Ink's perspective, made her look even more cute. 

"Um, well, it been a while since we first met, and during that time, I, really enjoyed the time we spent together, and, um, jeez why is this so hard?!" he said, saying the last part under breath. 

After a couple seconds of silence, he spoke again. 

"Oh to hell with it! Chris, I love you, I have for a long time now and I understand if you don't feel the same--mff!" Ink was cut off as Chris leaned forward suddenly and pressed her lips against his. 

For a few seconds, Ink was in too much shock to really do anything as a heavy blush spread across and Chris's cheeks. His mind finally caught up with him, and without thinking, he cupped her cheeks and slammed his lips against hers, closing his sockets as he did so. 

Chris instantly kissed back, draping her arms over his shoulders while his moved down to her waist. After a few minutes, they separated, panting a bit from the lack of oxygen. 

"...That was..." Ink started before trailing off. 

"Pretty good, considering your my first kiss" Chris finished. 

Ink looked at her in surprise. 

"Wait, that was your first?" he asked, surprised. 

He would've thought Chris had been in a relationship before, considering her good looks and badass attitude. 

"Well, from what I remember, yeah" Chris replied. 

"Well then, I have something I would like to ask" Ink said. 

"Which is?" 

"Will you, be my girlfriend?" 

Chris smiled a bit and rested her head against Ink's chest. 

"Yes. Yes I will" she said. 

Ink softly smiled and rested his head on hers. The sound of a picture being taken ruined the moment, and the two looked over to see Jessica with her phone out while Dream stood behind her with his arms crossed and a proud smile on his face. 

"Well, its about damn time" he said.

"So you two are finally together after..." 

Jessica paused to do some quick mental math. 

"...Two and a half years" she finished. 

Chris rolled her eyes and pulled away. 

"Alright, you can tease me all you want on our field mission" she said, walking over and patting Jessica's shoulder before walking out and down the hall. 

Jessica froze as she processed what Chris had said. 

"Wait, field mission?!" she cried down the hall. "Yup! Now come on! We got info we need to rack up!" Chris's voice came up. 

"Yes! My first field mission!" Jessica cried happily before running out of the room and after Chris to get geared up. 

Dream sighed in amusement as he shook his head. 

"So young, so energized. I can't even remember the last time I was like that" he said. 

"To be fair sir, you are a hundred and thirty years old" Ink told him. 

Dream nodded in agreement. 

"True" he said before walking out of the room. 

Leaving Ink to mentally celebrate the fact that he got himself a girlfriend...
