Sunshine danced inside the dorm where slept Venus and Teddy, tucked in the latter's bed. The two of them had the other one pressed to them and a peaceful aura held them captive. A knock on the door went unnoticed at first but on the second knock, Jake stirred in his sleep. Letting out a loud groan from waking him up when it was a weekend, he reached for the door, yawning and rubbing his bleary eyes. 

"Victoire?" He frowned, sleep no longer residing in his eyes. 

"Hi Jake." Victoire smiled nervously, trying to peek inside the dorm to catch a glimpse of of the boy she was looking for,"Is Teddy up yet?"

With a shrug, Jake stepped aside from the door and turned around to check whether his best friend was awake. The floor beneath his legs almost resided away when he found Teddy asleep on his bed with the youngest nott next to him. Having them close to each other Jake felt as if it was a dream. He couldn't even consider it to be a dream ; it sounded like a pathetic joke. 

Hesitantly, he stole a glance at Victoire who was undoubtedly hurt. Her eyes were fixed on Teddy and Venus as she replayed the memory from last night when she had found them kissing. She was too baffled and hurt to confront him last night which was the reason she spent her whole night crying to herself.

 "Victoire?" Jake gulped, not able to even look at her. 

"Wake them up." She whispered,"Just wake them up." 

With a deep breath and trembling hands, Jake shook the head boy's shoulder which made Teddy swat his hands away. "Teddy!" Jake exclaimed, shaking him violently,"Venus! Wake up!"

Venus' eyes fluttered open, the sun rays seeping through the window curtains almost blinding her eyes. Feeling someone's presence next to her, she sat up straight and glanced at the person next to her. She jumped out of the bed, her eyes wide in shock and realization. 

Teddy, as much startled as Venus, got off the bed and felt the guilt building up in his chest when his eyes fell on Victoire. He merely remembered everything that occurred the night before. His life flashed before his eyes when it struck him that he had kissed Venus the prior night. 

"Vicky. . ." He pushed the words out of his mouth, taking a step towards her but she was too hurt to hear his bullshit. Teddy made a run for her, leaving behind a guilty Venus who felt like crying. The look of betrayal on Victoire's facw was permanently printed in her memory. 

"What did you two do?" Jake frowned, turning his attention towards Venus,"Did you two had ─"

"No!" Venus denied immediately, glaring at Jake,"No, we didn't. We just kissed ─ and it was a mistake."

"Oh god. You fucked up everything Venus!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands up in despair. 

Venus didn't bother to answer him and made her way out but only after grabbing Teddy's hufflepuff cloak to cover her party outfit. Tears stung her eyes but she held them back and ran through the deserted hallways. Her heart felt heavy and her knees almost gave up but somehow she carried herself to the common room. 

Venus stopped to regain her breathing, mentally thanking god for having not a single student out. She barged inside her room, startling the higgs twins who were getting ready for breakfast. "Good morning Venus. How was your night ─?" Chloe smirked but got interrupted by Venus.

"Shut up!"

"Why do you have that cloak on?" Cara asked, keeping her comb aside,"And is that Lupin's?"

"Good morning girls." Elphias sang in her cheerful tone, walking inside the dorm and stopped in front of Venus who was sat on her bed with a distressed expression on her face.

"Van?" She asked, plopping down next to her while noticing the hufflepuff cloak which had the head boy's badge stuck on it.

"Why didn't anyone of you look for me?" Venus asked, holding her head in her hands,"Why?"

"We thought you were busy with that boyfriend of yours." Cara rolled her eyes, going back to her make up. "And Elphias you? You knew that I broke up with Jake ─"

"Broke up?" The higgs twins chorused with a surprised tone.

"Save that for later girls." Venus controlled her anger and averted her attention back to Elphias,"You knew I broke up with Jake. You should have gone looking for me!"

"Van. . . I had no idea where you were and I was too drunk to figure out anything." Elphias stuttered causing Venus to look at her suspiciously. Elphias could never leave or forget about Venus even when it was drunk until and unless there was some other reason.

"Stop lying!" Cara exclaimed while putting on her shoes,"I saw you making out with that ravenclaw boy." "What?" Venus frowned, glancing at Cara who gave her a curt nod,"Elphias?"

"I mean. . ." Elphias struggled to speak, feeling her cheeks grow hot.

"Oh my god." Venus sighed, shaking her head in disappointment,"My life is totally fucked up."

"I'm sorry." Elphias said having nothing else to say. "No it's not your fault Elphi." Venus muttered, letting out a tired sigh.

"But what's wrong? Why are you wearing Lupin's robes?" The dark-skinned girl asked, patting her shoulder lightly.

"I fucked up Elphi." Venus muttered, covering her face to hide the embarrassment,"I accidentally kissed Edward."

"YOU WHAT!"

"VAN NO WAY."

"HOLY FUCK."

Venus saw that reaction coming.

"Details. Explanation. Now!" Cara demanded, settling down next to her while Chloe sat down on the floor itself when she couldn't find any space for herself.

 "I don't know. We were both drunk. . ." Venus started explaining,"And we kissed. Technically he was the one who fucking crawled over me and kissed me. But for the second time, I kissed him."

"You kissed him back?" Elphias gasped, hardly believing her ears.

"Apparently my drunk ass did so yeah." Venus nodded.

"Well that was hot." Cara said earning glares from the other three girls,"sorry."

"And Victoire saw us this morning, sleeping next to each other." Venus muttered lowly.

"Holy shit." Chloe cursed under her breath.

"Seems like she thinks that we two had sex." Venus sighed frustratingly.

"Did you?"

"No Chloe."

"Well do you by any chance have feelings for him?" Cara asked earning a pure look of disgust from Venus.

"Hell no."

"So what are you gonna do now?" Elphias questioned.

"I don't know."

"If you don't have feelings for him then forget about it Venus." Chloe suggested, getting off the bed,"Just stay away from Weasley though. She'd be mad at you."

"Chloe is right Van." Elphias nodded,"You can't do anything now. It was a mistake. Forget it."

"I can't." Venus sighed,"Victoire looked so hurt." 

"Of course she would be hurt." Cara said,"but it's between her and Lupin. You don't need to worry about it." 

Venus kept quiet, well aware that there was no point in arguing with them. She grabbed her clothes from her wardrobe and walked inside the washroom to have a nice shower to get everything off her mind for a while. She slipped in a simple black t-shirt and her favorite black trousers before stepping out to find the higgs twins already gone for breakfast while Elphias was still wait for her. 

"Let's go?" Elphias hopefully questioned, tilting her head on one side,"I'm hungry." Venus passed her a small smile and moved towards the door. 

"Van?" Elphias cleared her throat as the two of them exited the slytherin common room,"You know what?" Venus just hummed in response, waiting for her to continue.

"I just read this somewhere and it goes something like make the same drunken mistake sober and you might realize that they're not mistakes anymore."

"So you want me to kiss edward again?" Venus huffed, grumpily crossing her arms across her chest at the useless piece of advice Elphias just provided her.

"That's not what i meant." Elphias chuckled awkwardly.

"Let's just not talk about it. You're loosing your mind." Venus shook her head at the thought of actually following the advice. Walking out of the great hall was Victoire who caught the slytherin eyes and tried to fasten her pace. 

"I'll be back in a minute." Venus waved Elphias off and hurried behind the weasley hufflepuff,"Hey! Victoire! Hey!"

As much as Victoire wanted to ignore the youngest nott, the jealous version of hers still wanted to listen to the latter's fake explanation.

"Venus." She turned around to face the slytherin with a forced smile on her face,"how are you doing?"

To say that Venus was confused would be an understatement, the way Victoire addressed her name made the guilt washed away.

"Uh I. . ." Venus felt loss of words not wanting to mess things further when they were already tangled up,"I just want you to know that whatever happened between I and Edward was a mistake. We were drunk, like really drunk and we just kissed. Nothing more than that."

"That's all?" Victoire asked, tilting her head on one side and chucked lightly when Venus nodded curtly. Without another word, Victoria turned around on her heels and hurried away from Venus who just followed her around asking if she doubted something is going on between them.

"Don't bother yourself Venus." Was all Victoire said, holding her hand up to stop Venus from following her around before hurrying towards the owlery. 

Defeated, Venus twirled around to find Teddy coming from around the hallway towards her. When he actually acknowledged her presence, his eyes were averted to the floor beneath his face and his main motive was to pass her without any eye contact. 

"Edward." Venus stopped him. "What?" He asked, trying to sound uninterested in the conversation.

"Did you two talk?" She inquired.

"No. She won't give me a chance."

"Then find one and sort everything out!" Venus hissed, shooting a disgusted glare towards him for making no effort to apologize.

"I don't know where the heck she is." He exclaimed.

"Well she was just heading towards the owlery right now so get your legs working and sort it out." Venus said sternly.

"Owlery? This early?"

"Maybe she wrote to her dad to beat you up." Venus said with a small shrug earning an eye roll from Teddy who ignored her stupid assumption and made his way out of the castle. 

Climbing up the stairs of the owlery, Teddy felt his hands getting sweaty and his knees wobbly.

"What are you doing here?" Victoire frowned when she found the hufflepuff coming up towards her while she was feeding her owl.

"Listen Vicky ─"

"There's literally nothing left to listen." She stopped him midway, making her way towards him.

"Can you please listen to me once?"

"About what? How you ended up kissing Venus? And that it was a bloody mistake?" Victoire laughed tauntingly and stopped suddenly, stepping closer to Teddy,"I don't give a fuck about you two."

"Why don't you understand? I would never kiss her if I were sober. She annoys me so much and I literally hate her." Teddy reasoned, hardly believing anything he said.

"It doesn't seems like you hate her teddy." Venus whispered, her throat feeling heavy,"you don't. it's something else that you yourself have no idea about."

"Fine let's not talk about Venus." Teddy sighed,"Think about us. You can't end the relationship we had. Not so easily. I thought you wanted me to realize my mistakes and start new."

"What do we have between us Teddy?" Victoire chuckled bitterly,"Huh? Tell me, do you love me?"

The question caught Teddy off guard as he stared blankly at Victoire who had a sympathetic smile on her face. What's it like to fall in love, Teddy wondered.

"You don't even know it yourself." Victoire tutted, patting his shoulder lightly to show she felt sorry for him,"There's your answer Teddy. We had nothing between us."

Last pat and with that Victoire scurried away, leaving behind Teddy with his confused feelings.
