Teddy sat on his bed while his eyes were fixed on the brown haired boy, sleeping peacefully in the comfort of his bed. Teddy clenched his jaw and refrained himself from beating the shit out of his best friend for being so stupid.

 He clearly remembered how him and Jake became friends just in a flicker of second. All it took was their interest in learning about the past and collecting chocolate frog cards. All these past seven years he had Jake by his side who was the only one who actually tried to understand him. Not even Victoire could help Teddy as she was a little childish. Still, Teddy adored her and her playful tantrums. 

Teddy didn't realize he had zoned out until Jake's morning voice, greeting him a good morning reached his ears.

"Daydreaming Teddy?" Jake chuckled, not wanting to let go of the warmth of his bed.

"Yes, murdering you there." Teddy scowled. 

"What's wrong?" Jake asked, sitting up straight as his feet touched the cold floor.

"What's wrong?" Teddy repeated, crossing his arms across his chest,"Do you even remember anything? From last night."

Jake let out a chuckle before he laid back on the bed with his hands tucked under his head. "How can I forget the most eventful night of my life?" He grinned, his thoughts wandering back to the taste of Venus' lips,"Her lips taste like watermelon candy!"

Teddy threw a pure look of disgust towards his best friend, feeling extremely annoyed by the sudden change in Jake's behavior. He has never been so attracted or lost because of a girl and that too, Venus. Teddy had told Jake all about the feud between him and the youngest nott and surprisingly Jake too had proclaimed the distaste towards the girl for being so loud and annoying.

"I thought you disliked her?" Teddy spoke up after a while, feeling betrayed,"Weren't you annoyed because of her loud and bitchy nature?"

"Correction Teddy." Jake said, sitting up straight once again,"You are the one who dislikes her. Not me."

"So you lied to me all along?" Teddy frowned.

"Come on Teddy." Jake groaned, dramatically letting out an annoyed sigh,"I know nothing about her except the things you told me. She's nice to others and I don't think I've ever said that I hate her annoying nature."

"You are my best friend!" Teddy exclaimed,"You aren't supposed to turn your back on me just because of her!"

"Hey, I ain't turning my back on you or anything of that sort." Jake protested,"And I can't understand what you're trying to say? Like what's the problem?"

"You're definitely not a ravenclaw." Teddy scoffed,"She's just going to play with your feelings Jake. She's just going to break your heart, nothing else."

"Wait- who the hell even said that I have feelings for her?" Jake laughed, earning a pure look of confusion from Teddy.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Teddy exasperatedly sighed.

"Okay Teddy you're making a big fuss out of it. We kissed that's all. There were no feelings involved." Jake put forward his explanation. 

"Bloody teenagers can't even control your fucking hormones." Teddy muttered disgustingly.

"Says the one who can't hold himself back from snogging his girlfriend every hour." Jake shot back, getting on his feet and approached the bathroom to get fresh. 

Teddy let out a defeated sigh and fell back on his bed while staring at the ceiling. Maybe he was making a big fuss out of nothing. Jake wasn't a kid after all.

Venus woke up the next day with an excruciating, painful headache. Her head was throbbing in pain and it felt like someone was hammering her head or it had been just slammed in the wall. Her dorm mates, the higgs twins were as usual already awake and were arguing over something Venus couldn't care less. 

Muttering a barely audible good morning in response, Venus walked inside the bathroom and splashed the cold water on her face, letting it drown the drowsiness. After she had taken a bath, she changed into her school robes and made her way to the common room, downstairs. As usual, Andrew and Elphias were waiting for her on one of the couches.

"Hi." Venus smiled, tapping on their shoulders to have their attention.

"Oh van, we were just talking about you." Andrew started as the trio strolled out of the common room and towards the great hall,"So you and that hufflepuff boy?"

"Jake." Venus said, a smirk appearing on her face,"Jake Friar. Yeah what about him?"

"Oh nothing just about last night you know." Andrew quirked his eyebrows earning a light chuckle from Elphias who somehow found it amusing.

"Yeah we kissed." Venus shrugged, the sly smile still dangling on her lips.

"Was it intentional? Or your drunk ass just ended up kissing him?" Elphias asked, taking a seat next to Venus who was stuck in between her best friends.

"Completely intentional. He's hot." Venus answered, serving herself some breakfast.

"Oh damn, he's looking at you." Elphias chuckled when she caught the hufflepuff boy looking over at the slytherin table.

Venus lifted her eyes up and when they locked with Jake's, she cracked a small smile and waved at him. Jake shyly smiled and waved back getting weird looks from the other hufflepuffs.

"Do you think it would be good if i ask him out?" Venus asked out of a sudden taking her best friends by surprise.

"Why are you suddenly so interested in him?" Andrew questioned.

Venus thought for a while before answering,"honestly i don't have any idea."
