Even though slytherins had managed to win the match against gryffindor, Venus wasn't satisfied with her team's performance. Sadly, hufflepuff won the match against ravenclaw which meant they were going to compete against slytherins in the future. To celebrate their victory, hufflepuffs threw a party in their common room. Venus refused to go along with her best friends but after Jake requested her, she agreed.

For the party, she pulled on a simple, black one shoulder top which revealed her collar bones while the other arm has net- sleeves. She went with a loose, white sequin flared trousers.

"Where the fuck are my shoes?" Venus frowned, looking for them in her whole dorm. Chloe who was doing her hair, turned around to face her,"You're wearing shows with that beautiful outfit of yours?" 

"Yeah what's wrong with it?" Venus questioned, opening her closet.

"Nothing." She responded, passing her a small smile. 

"Where the fuck are my sneakers?" Venus cried dramatically, flipping off the covers of the bed.

 "Who the hell keeps their shoes on the bed?" Cara rolled her eyes, posing in front of her mirror and smirked at her reflection ; red short dress with her hair tied up in a bun.

"I was just being dramatic." Venus muttered, keeping her hands on her hips. 

"You left them in my dorm van." Elphias shrugged as she entered their dorm, all dressed up in a white off shoulder, sequin embroidered top and black trousers.

"Oh my god." Cara exaggerated each and every word as she turned on her spot to stare at Elphias,"You just took my breath away with that stunning face of yours."

"My best friend." Venus grinned stupidly before she grabbed the black sneakers from Elphias hands and put them on,"You look breath taking Elphi."

"So do you all." Elphias smiled, a red tint of blush rising up on her cheeks.

"Well i am ready." Chloe announced, slipping on her heels,"Are we ready to go?"

"Yes." Venus responded, moving towards the door. "Andrew already left by the way." Elphias informed earning an acknowledging nod from Venus. 

The four of them quietly slipped out of the slytherin common room and hurried towards the hufflepuff tower without getting caught by any of the professors. The only problem they faced was the entrance to the hufflepuff common room but a kind hufflepuff helped them out. 

"Woah." Chloe muttered in awe as she scanned the whole common room, bathed in the yellow light which reminded her of sunflower fields. Some muggle song was put on play causing the higgs twins to glance at one another before they were off to the crowd around the music player, grooving on the beats. 

"Hello Venus." The youngest nott looked at the source of the voice to find Victoire making her way towards her, dressed up in a yellow floral dress, reaching up to her knees. 

"Hey Victoire. you look pretty." Venus smiled, pulling her in a hug. 

"So do you." The weasley girl returned the smile, passing one to Elphias who was too busy looking for her best friend andrew. "Well congratulations on the victory and I hope you enjoy yourselves."

Venus responded with a nod and relaxed a bit after she was left alone with Elphias. Venus wasn't a big fan of Victoire as the later always seemed like she had no interest in interacting with her. At times like family gatherings, Victoire would be so mad when she found Venus having a good laugh with Andromeda or even any adult and Venus never knew the reason behind that. 

"Come on van, rew is over there." Said Elphias as she gestured towards the couch lined up at the corner where sat Andrew and Jake having a conversation, .

"Hi." Venus greeted, lazily plopping next to Andrew who threw his arms around her shoulder.

"Why are you so. . . I mean you look so uninterested?" Jake asked, leaning in front so he could look at Venus who laid her head on her best friend's shoulder.

 "Because apparently Venus wanted to study herbology instead of attending this fun less party." Elphias, who got settled next to Venus, explained about the love the youngest nott has for herbology.

"I never knew that Venus Nott could be that boring."

"Fuck off Edward." Venus groaned when the hufflepuff head boy approached them with a sickly, sweet smile on his face.

"He's got a point." Andrew ended up saying earning a light smack on his head from Venus who looked offended.

"Do you call this a party?" Venus frowned, lifting her head up from Andrew's shoulder,"So dry."

"I think I know where this is going." Jake chuckled lightly, slightly shifting on his spot to give some space to Teddy who sat on the couch's arm,"I and Teddy managed to steal two bottles of firewhiskey."

"Woah." Andrew gasped dramatically.

"Who knew what hufflepuffs can get up to?" Venus smirked, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "What are we waiting for then? let's go." Jake got up enthusiastically causing Teddy to fall down on the couch as he was leaning onto the former for support.

 The group burst out laughing but Venus cackled like a dying goat earning a scoff from Teddy who straightened his shirt and got on his feet. 

"Shut up." Teddy threw a disgusted glare towards the youngest nott as he climbed the stairs to his dorm.

 "You two need to stop." Jake groaned, clearly done with their long living banter as he pushed open the door and all of them scampered inside. The next second they knew they were already high with the amount of firewhiskey in their system, Venus being the winner of having as much shots as possible.

"So Venus. . . was herbology better option than this party?" Andrew asked, playfully bumping his shoulder with her earning a faint no in response.

"I think it's enough for me." Elphias said as she stood up on her feet, straightening her clothes,"I'm gonna go join Chloe and Cara now."

"I'll join you." Andrew and Jake chorused, stealing glances at one another before getting on their feet. Having left alone, Venus ignored Teddy's presence for a moment but the alcohol was making it difficult for her to keep her mouth shut. 

"So how are things between you and Victoire?" Venus was too drunk to realize what she just asked. Teddy, quite surprised by the sudden question, chugged his last glass of firewhiskey before meeting Venus' drunk eyes. 

"We called it a quit." He shrugged, keeping the glass on the floor and leaned back on the wall for support.

 "What? Like a breakup?" Venus tried to have a serious, shocked face but it turned into a smile and it seemed like she was faking sympathy.

"Yeah." Teddy answered,"What about you and. . . Jake?" Teddy cleared his throat, lowering his eyes to the glass kept on the floor.

"We aren't together. He actually wasn't interested in me and neither was I to be honest." Venus chuckled lightly..

"What's that supposed to mean?" Teddy frowned, ignoring the way his heart beating wildly when her light chuckle clouded him. 

"He kinda has a crush on rew which came off as a surprise when yesterday, after our date, he confessed to me." Venus smiled at the thought,"He just wanted a reason to be around him and I guess I was the reason."

"Woah. He never told me." Teddy's lips quirked up at the corner as he watched Venus taking another sip of her drink. 

"He was scared." Venus admitted,"And I can't blame him. But he confessed to Andrew and they have decided to keep it to themselves for a while before they are ready to let everyone know." 

Venus hiccuped once, accidentally sputtering the drink out of her mouth. Teddy tried to keep his eyes to himself but he couldn't look away from a certain drop of the liquid trailing down her job, glided to her neck and stopped midway. He couldn't figure out the feeling arousing inside him at that moment ; he felt envious of the drop.

why? he asked his inner self.

Because you can't touch her the places the drop did. Replied his seventeen year old typical conscience. 

"Ugh." Venus muttered, wiping the spilled firewhiskey off her neck with her handkerchief. Finally pulled out if his weird thoughts, Teddy looked away, completely done with his mind. 

Venus pulled out a cigarette from her pocket and quickly lighted it up earning weird, questioning glances from Teddy.

"Smoking, little one?" He teased, indirectly trying to stop her from smoking by reminding her of her father.

"Shut up. You're not my father." Venus rolled her eyes, taking a drag.

"Then I can be your daddy?"

"What the fuck? That's it I'm gonna hex you today." Venus gave him a death glare, holding the lighted cigarette in between her fingers.

"No I didn't mean that. It kinda just rolled out of my tongue." Teddy muttered, chuckling awkwardly while shaking his head.

"You really need to stop watching that shitty rom com television show." Venus laughed, blowing the smoke in the air. 

"Right." Teddy murmured, playing with the glass on the floor. Out of nowhere, he felt venus getting up on her feet and glanced up at her to find that she had dropped her cigarette. 

"What's wr ─" He couldn't even complete his question when Venus stomped on the cigarette and ran towards the washroom. He walked closer towards the washroom and only when he heard Venus throwing up, somehow over the loud music, he barged inside.

 His first instinct was to help her out by holding her hair back all like he has watched in the television series but her sour expression made him laugh his ass out. He leaned by the doorframe, watching Venus gargling and rinsing her mouth in the attempt to get over the foul taste of puking.

"Help me out will you?" Venus complained, trying to keep her hair away from sticking on her face.

"What's the golden word Venus?" He wasn't ready to let go of the moment to annoy her.

"Alright. Edward can you please help meeeee?" Venus said in a sing-song voice and ended up laughing at herself. 

Nodding slightly, he stood next to her, slowly holding his hand up to her hair while Venus held on the sink for support. Her knees felt wobbly, the alcohol in her system taking a toll on her physical as well as mental understanding. Teddy held her hair back with his right hand and took a deep breath before moving the other hand to caress her back, hoping that it would relax her a bit. 

Venus mentally thanked her for wearing a clothing which mostly covered her back as she could feel her heartbeat acquiring a whole new pace after Teddy's hand meet her back. Venus splashed the water on her face, hoping it would drown the strange feeling swirling around on her skin.

 "Er. . . it's fine now." She cleared her throat and Teddy drew his hand back, turning around to leave when he cold wave of water came in contact with his cheek and hair.

 And the next thing he heard was Venus' dying laughter as she held on to the sink and turned around to look at the victim of her mischief shooting deadly glances at her.

 "Ven ─" Another splash. Venus kept on splashing the water, running out of the tap of the sink until water drops were running down Teddy's cheeks and jaw. 

"Stop." He tried to look mad but his sobriety was long gone and the influence of alcohol made him smile slightly. 

Breathing heavily, Teddy reached for the tap, trapping Venus between his arms in the process. Venus chuckled nervously due to the close proximity and the way Teddy was starting at her. Venus tried to backaway when she spotted a mischievous glint in his eyes but she had no space to move.

 Teddy smirked and leaned closer to Venus if that was possible. Venus furrowed her eyebrows together, trying to figure out what he was up to as the glistening drops from the strands of his hair fell onto her forehead.

 Before Venus could comprehend, Teddy shook his head and the water droplets started hitting Venus' face causing her to let out a startled squeal. 

"What are you? A dog?" She frowned, trying to control her laughter. Teddy stepped away from her and threw a smirk in her direction before speaking,"And what are you? A bitch?"

Offended, Venus let out a dramatic gasp and reached for the tap again, ignoring Teddy's pleading remarks. 

"Your hands are so small. It's not going to do any harm to me. It's not worth throwing water at me." Teddy laughed, wiping his face with his already damped sleeve.

 Last one splash and Venus walked out the washroom and plopped on the empty bed which smelt like the shitty cologne Teddy used.

 "My mouth tastes like. . . Ew." Venus complained to no one in particular, tucking the wet strands of her hair behind her ear. 

Teddy ran his hand through his hair, slicking it on one side before he opened his wardrobe and took out some muggle chocolate balls he had bought from a muggle store not far away from his cottage. 

He took the wrapper off and stood in front of Venus, the chocolate ball held out in his hand for her to take. Venus smiled at him and opened her mouth slightly instead of taking it in her own hand. Chuckling lightly, Teddy lifted the chocolate ball to her mouth, his eyes meeting her blue ones. 

His thumb brushed her wet lips, sending a tingling sensation in his body. He took another ball and lifted it again to her mouth, his eyes never leaving hers but this time, Venus bit on his finger while eating chocolate ball.

 With a yelp, Teddy pulled his hand away and glared at Venus who was once again having a hard time to control her laughter. She let herself lay on the bed, the grin never laughing her face as she mentally replayed what she just did to him. 

"That wasn't funny." Teddy frowned, trying to shake away the burning sensation from his finger. 

"It was. Oh my god." Venus managed to say between her laughs but it stopped when Teddy crawled over her, his knees on the either side of her waist and his hands on either side of her head to support his weight. 

A victorious smirk dangled over Teddy's lips but it didn't last long when Venus started laughing again.

 "Stop laughing." He whined but it only fuelled her magical laughter. He lifted one of his hands and clasped it over Venus' mouth, ignoring the butterflies erupting like a volcano inside his stomach. 

"Stop." He repeated. 

Venus did stop but she couldn't demeanor the feeling running inside her veins. Teddy finally took his hand off her mouth but he couldn't take his eyes off her. His eyes longed for her lips. 

Without thinking twice, he pressed his lips onto hers, feeling Venus startle under his touch but she relaxed immediately. Her lips tasted of the chocolate balls he just feeded her, mixed with her watermelon lipbalm, firewhiskey and smoke.

 Not either of them flinched at the touch but were so invested as if they were dying to feel them emotions surging through their veins forever. The loud chattering from downstairs, the rock music, the opening and creaking of the door all drowned down expect them who were floating on the boat of frisson and pleasure. 

Pulling away, Teddy was afraid to see the looks he would be receiving from the younger nott. He closed his eyes and dropped himself down on the bed, just next to her, listening to her rugged breathing.

 He turned his head towards the girl and hesitantly flicked open his eyes to find Venus staring at the ceiling and her lips quirked up at the corner. Feeling his gaze upon herself, Venus glanced at him before letting out a chuckle for no reason. 

She locked her eyes with Teddy and moved closer to him, her body completely pressed against his and reconnected her lips with his. In an instant, Teddy's hand reached to her cheeks, drawing circles on them which made Venus burst with indescribable pleasure and happiness. They pulled away to catch their breathe when Teddy pulled his hand back and flipped on his side so he could face her properly.

"I'm sleepy." Venus murmured, flipping on her side as well,"and cold."

"Go to sleep." Teddy smiled and his smile just got wider when Venus moved closer to him and nestled her head in his chest. He was too numb by the effect she had on her to realize what he was actually getting himself into, just like Venus who was oblivious as well.
