MY MOUTH DROPPED and I pointed my finger at her. "Y-you're dating my brother?"
She nodded and I turned around slowly, while walking back to the table. Colton looked at me weird, "Umm did she possess you or something? Because, I mean, that wouldn't surprise me."
"She is dating my brother!" I whisper-yelled and Colton's mouth turned into an oval shape. "Hey, that's good news for you. That means she'll be extra nice to you."
"Good news?!?!" I started flailing my arms, "Anyone who dates Dally is going to get hurt! He's going to drop her in the next week and that means she'll make this hell hole ten times worse for me!"
Colton patted me on the shoulder, "I'll send my prayers over to you."

I TOLD SODA we'd go shopping after I went to go see Dally at my old house. It's weird calling it my old house now since I used to live in it. I opened the door and walked right in. Dally was sitting on the couch, watching Spongebob. I chuckled, "I didn't know you were a fan of Spongebob, Dal."
He rolled his eyes. "What did you need to tell me?"
I sat down on the couch next to him and crossed my arms. "First of all, why are you dating my boss?!"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "Kelly is your boss?"
"Yes!" I screamed. Dally shrugged his shoulders, "Trust me, Skye. I actually think she might be the one."
I laughed. "That makes sense. Y'all are both cold hearted."
Dally started laughing too. "Exactly. Now what is the real reason you came over here?"
I took a deep breath. "Soda and I have to pretend to be together for Christmas. It's for the kids."
He was silent for a moment and I was afraid of how he was going to react. He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Just don't come crawling back to me when he hurts you again."
I scoffed and started walking out the door. "Like I said, pretend."
Dally shook his head. "Skylar, when it comes to you and Soda, there's no such thing as pretending!"
I slammed the door and got in my car, revving the engine. I pulled out of the driveway and headed to my house to get ready.
When I arrived at Steve and Sarah's, Soda was sitting on the couch watching TV with the kids. I stood there and smiled at them and Sarah joined me. "Remember, you two are together." She whispered and I nodded, walking over to them.
When Soda saw me, he gave me his famous grin and my stomach did that same one hundred foot drop it did six years ago.
I glanced at the kids and flashed them a big smile. "Mommy and Daddy are going to go shopping for Christmas presents!"
They both started squealing and jumping around frantically, causing Soda and I to burst out into fits of laughter. We both gave them hugs and kisses and left.
We hopped in my car and drove to the first store. Soda stared at me. "So, how was work today? Did Kelly kill you?"
I scoffed. "She would've if she wasn't dating my brother."
Soda's eyes went wide. "She's dating Dallas?"
I nodded my head and he started to laugh. "She has no idea what she's got coming, does she?"
I started shaking my head. "I thought she would've known what she had to deal with since she's dealt with me for four years."
Soda started giggling and I cracked a smile. Once he started laughing he sighed, "Why are you being so nice to me? It's freaking me out. I would've expected you to have thrown a glass bottle at my head and then have me shipped to Europe."
I started chuckling. "Oh, trust me, I would've loved to have done that. It's just when it comes to the kids I'll do anything for them. Even if it causes me to 'get back together' with the person that broke me."
A sad and guilty expression washed over his face. "The whole gang hates me."
I shook my head. "They don't hate you, Soda. They're just disappointed in you."
"That's the thing though!" His voice started cracking because he was about to cry. "Ponyboy has NEVER been disappointed in me in his lifetime! He looked up to me and now I'm just the brother that he doesn't even want to look at!"
I frowned and pulled in the parking space. When I stopped the car I lifted Soda's chin up with my finger, causing him to look at me straight in the eyes. His bright blue eyes have now turned to a shade of grey. "Listen, Ponyboy still loves you with all of his heart. I promise. Now, let's go shopping for the kids and afterwards we'll get dinner because I'm starving."
He started chuckling and smiled at me. "Thank you so much, Blue."
I shrugged. "Whatever."
Once we got into the store, I immediately told Soda what both the kids were interested in. "Gracie loves drawing, dancing, singing, and writing."
Soda had a grin plastered on his face. "Just like you."
"Yeah. Just like me." I smiled, "but Ashton is exactly like you. He wants tools, grease for his hair, and football."
Soda started grinning. "I'll remember all of those things."
"Good. Now break!" I shouted and we both took off in opposite directions. I went to look for Ashton's first while Soda went to go look for Gracie's. In ten minutes, we'd meet back in the front of the store.
I went to the tools section and grabbed a whole toolbox full of tools. I sat it in the cart and rolled the cart to the beauty section. I grabbed a thing of hair gel to make his hair look greasy, and then went to go grab a football for his last thing.

GRACIE IS EXACTLY like Skylar in every way. She looks like her, and she loves drawing, singing, dancing, and writing. I chuckled at how they were exactly the same and how alike Ashton and I were.
I went to the arts and crafts section and immediately grabbed a sketch notebook and tons of pencils, markers, crayons, and colored pencils.
Then, I went to the music section and bought her a microphone and a speaker to hook up to it, and I bought her some CD's. Skylar told me Gracie was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, just like Skylar is.
Last but not least, I got her a diary. She can write everything in there. Skylar had a music diary that looked exactly like this.
I put the last thing in the cart and strolled it up to the front of the store. Skylar was already there waiting for me and we looked at each of the things that we got. We got in line to pay for everything and once Skylar saw the price she about passed out. "Oh lord these kids better love all of this because I'm definitely broke now."
"Blue, let me pay." I spoke while reaching for my wallet.
She scoffed. "No offense, Soda, but do you really have a two hundred dollar bill in your wallet?"
"At least let me pay half of it." I replied and she groaned, giving up.
I smirked and gave her the money. Once we put all of the stuff in the back of the car, she sighed. "You know, once Ashton gets his tools for Christmas, you should teach him how to work on a car."
I nodded while smiling. "And you have to teach Gracie how amazing you can write, draw, sing, and dance."
She chuckled and started blushing, "Deal."
