FIVE
I STARTED DRIVING and glanced over at Soda. "So, where do you want to go eat at?"
He shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me."
I pulled into the Dingo and Jay's and memories flooded my brain. I haven't been here since Soda broke up with me.
Soda saw me pause in front of the Dingo and Jay's and laid his hand on my shoulder. I turned to him. "I wonder if Ashley still works here."
He shrugged. "There's only one way to find out."
We slowly walked inside and I immediately spotted her red hair. "Ashley!" I shouted and she turned her head around to look at me. "Skylar?"
[awww, I missed Ashley]
She ran up to me and pulled me in a giant hug. "I'm sorry for not coming often." I whispered and she chuckled, "Sweetie, I know why you didn't, but the question is why are you with him right now?"
I told her and she nodded while smiling. "Well y'all sit down."
Soda and I automatically went to the booth we always sat at. "Same orders still?" She questioned and we both nodded. She wrote down the orders and went to the back of the counter to get our food ready.
Soda dropped his wallet and we both reached down to pick it up. A photo flew out of the wallet and I grabbed it, a huge toothy grin was on my face. "You still have this?"
He started blushing and I gave the photo back to him.
[Y'ALL REMEMBER THIS? DJNSDJNJS MEMORIES]
"I remember the day I first found it in your wallet." I lightly smiled.
He grinned. "Wasn't that the day Steve and Sarah got into the hugest argument?"
I nodded my head. "And because I knocked some sense into him, they're married now."
He started chuckling and Ashley brought our food over. We started eating and Soda looked like something was bothering him. I could tell all of his facial expressions.
"Soda, what's wrong?" I asked as I took a sip of my milkshake.
"Skylar Winston, long time no see." A familiar voice came from behind me. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned around, my eyes going huge. "L-Lucas?"
[me atm]
He gave me a genuine smile. "Hey, Win."
I could practically feel Soda roll his eyes from behind me and I slightly chuckled. "What are you doing here?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I was hungry and saw your familiar blonde hair in the window."
"You couldn't even see her hair from there?" Soda spoke and made a face and I started smirking. He's extremely jealous. I'm so taking advantage of this.
"What have you been up to, Huckleberry?" I questioned and his face lit up when I called him that again. "Not much, I see you and Soda are back together."
I shook my head, "No we're not."
"Well in that case, would you please go out to dinner with me on Saturday?" Lucas asked.
I grinned. "I'd love to."
I heard a door slam and turned around to find that Soda was gone. "You've got to be kidding me." I mumbled.
"Wait, are y'all together? Tell me the truth." Lucas furrowed his eyebrows. I shook my head, "We're not together, Lucas."
"Well he seemed like a jealous boyfriend while I was talking to you." He raised his eyebrows and I ran out the Dingo and Jay's to the car to talk to Soda.
I got in the driver's seat and huffed. "Why are you so pissed off?"
"I'm not pissed off." He shrugged and looked out the window, causing me to actually bang my head against the window repeatedly. "Soda, I'm not stupid."
He sighed. "Okay, fine, I'm jealous! But don't go off on me I already know. I cheated on you with Sandy, plus, we aren't together I shouldn't be jealous."
"But... you are." I spoke so softly it came out as a whisper.
He didn't answer, so I started driving towards Steve and Sarah's. "Wait, drop me off at the bar." Soda exclaimed.
"How are you going to get home?" I questioned.
"I'll find a way home." He replied and continued staring out the window.
I furrowed my eyebrows and drove in the direction of the bar instead. When I pulled up, he started unbuckling, but I had my hand on his wrist, causing him to stop. "Soda, please be careful."
He slowly nodded and got out. I started to pull out and I yelled, "Tell Liam I said what's good!"

Soda
"I SHOULDN'T BE jealous, I know, but I was just so pissed off when he was looking at her like that and talking to her." I took another shot of bourbon as I talked to Liam.
Liam chuckled. "You still love her, don't you?"
I bit my lip and glanced over at a red haired girl across the bar. "Yeah, I do, but she doesn't love me anymore."
I started walking towards the red haired stranger and heard Liam sigh behind me. "If only you knew."
I shook off what he said and figured he was just talking to someone else. I approached the girl and she looked up and smiled at me. "My name is Soda, what's your name?"
"Cherry Valance."
