★ 2 - deal
"Oh wow! What got you two so excited?" I get weirded out as my two girl friends rush up to me, them not tripping in the process being a huge surprise and also a big mystery to me.
"You've heard of the party already?"
I frown. "Party? Which one?"
"You've heard of more?"
I scoff. "Bold of you to think that. No, I hadn't heard of any actually."
Yeojin pulls out her phone, pushing it right in front of my face like she doesn't know how eyes work. "Look! They just made the announcement!"
"And you wanted me to know it when I've been offline for four hours already?" I smile, pushing the device a bit further away, finally getting a good sight of what she's showing me. "Well... That sounds fun," I admit after scanning the Instagram post for a while, knowing those two can't wait to hear my opinion.
"Right?" Yeojin's eyes are shining bright as she jumps up a few times. "We can also get to know new people in there! Maybe you two will finally find yourselves someone."
Me and Chaewon look at each other, unamazed. "Do you hear her flexing her two years long relationship again?" she whispers like Yeojin weren't standing right next to her.
"I do."
"Shut the fuck up!" Yeojin frowns, slapping us both on our shoulders. "Are we gonna go or not?"
"Aren't we first gonna ask the rest though?"
"We did, actually," Chaewon rubs the back of her head. "Check the group chat."
"Again - I am offline."
"And you call yourself a part of the Gen Z?" Yeojin scans me with her eyes.
"I guess I'll become a Baby Boomer then," I sigh, finally pulling out my phone and turning on the data connection. So many notifications pop up but the only ones I care about are the messages from the group chat we made with some of the people we share our lectures with. They all are going, too. "Nice," I smile, looking back at them. "Let's go then."
"Yes!" Yeojin squeals, jumping up, her fist hitting the air above her head.
"We'll get so wasted, I'm telling you," Chaewon laughs.
"Of course," I roll my eyes, "you're too short to stand any alcohol."
"Yah!"
I moan, crouching down with three words: "You killed me."
"You deserved both those hits."
Yeojin smirks. "Plus - look who's the little one now."
"I hate you," I sigh, running a hand through my blonde hair that's getting washed out to white now.
"We love you too, Jinnie. Now get the fuck up, we have a lecture to attend in five minutes."

The party was taking place that Saturday. It was held for the Faculty of Social Studies and its students and professors only.
"You think some professors will come too?" I wonder, leaning back in my chair.
"Oh, you bet they will. Actually," Jaehyun leans in from the seat behind me. His eyes are glowing with rumours, a smirk showing he already got enough information to talk until the professor comes back as her laptop died and she had to go get the charger into her office which was placed on the other side of the building. "I've heard that professor Kim and professor Jang went pretty wild during the last party that took place. In fact," he puts a finger up to emhpasize what's about to come, "it was the students who had to take care of them since they got so wasted."
Yeojin grins. "Can't wait to get you all drunk and watch you from far away. I'm gonna make it a social experiment and write an essay about it later."
Jaehyun rolls his eyes. "Ha ha... What is she even doing here?" he turns to me again, pointing towards her, "I thought she studied psychology, not speech therapy."
I wave my hand, still not turning my head for it being rested on the desk behind me comfortably, eyes gazing down at the rest of the auditorium. "Nah, she said she wanted to understand how language works better so she signed herself for these lectures as well."
"You're crazy," he turned back to her. "Why the fuck would you do that?"
"Because I the fuck want to. Now shut up." She's clicking her pen on the notebook, gritting her teeth.
Jaehyun is fun but he can get... well, hard not to hit sometimes.
He keeps on bickering with Yeojin.
Especially when using this tone.
"Hyun, please," I whine, "shut the fuck up."
He squints his eyes at me. "Alright," he drags out, sitting back down, disappearing from the corner of my view before he appears right above me, smirking mischeviously. "I'm really talkative when tipsy already though, remember that."
"Noted. Act like I don't know you at the party," I nod my head while pretending to write something in the air. I put my chair on all its legs again as the professor walks back in.
"You little shit," he mutters under his breath.
I pretend like I didn't hear him.
Yeojin leans in closer to me, head turned towards the front of the auditorium, eyes on the professor who's getting her laptop connected to the charger. "I'm afraid you'll have to hold me back from beating that guy up," she whispers.
I scoff, putting my chin on my left palm, right hand playing with the mechanical pencil I've been using for years by now. "Don't count on me, I might be doing the same."
We share a look, laughing quietly.
"Okay, be my support then," she changes her opinion.
I nod my head, grinning wide. "Deal."
