First and foremost, I wanted to thank you all for the amazing support. As of writing this, the book has passed 5K views, 1K votes and 10K comments. It's insane to me, and I really didn't expect it when I first posted the book.

The best part of Wattpad, for me at least, has been interacting with the readers and fellow writers while writing this book. You guys might not realize how much you're helping me, but I seriously don't know what I would do without you all lol. You have all, knowingly or not, helped me find typos and plot holes that I've been able to correct, but most of all you've been giving me the confidence to keep writing.

I often tend to be an emotional, anxious mess and I began writing this book as a way to cope and keep my brain busy with other things than my crippling anxiety.
I've been writing books ever since I could write, and I had, up to this day, never ever finished or shared a single one with anyone else. I'm just too self-conscious and harsh on myself.

You guys have been so supportive, your comments and messages have been an absolute blessing and have always helped me push through (not just this book, but life in general lmao)
There are so many people I want to thank I don't dare make an actual list lest I forget someone, but if you've made it this far in the book you're probably one of them <3

Since this "chapter" is a little off-the-records, and I'm still outlining Part 2, I'd love to bother my dear readers with a question or two about the book, so that I can keep on improving the story. Please don't hesitate to criticize because this is what it's for, but also don't hesitate to compliment me because I'm a simp for praise

- Have you noticed any plot holes in the story? Illogical events, forgotten characters, things I didn't explain enough and that confuse you?

- Do you have any questions about literally anything in the book? Details about a certain character, things you think you might have missed?

I won't answer these because I don't want to give any clues/spoilers but I always read them and take them into account!! Some of you guys have commented really interesting things (right and wrong, and things I hadn't thought of that I added to the story) so far, I'd love to see if there are more!! CHARACTER PROFILES

Character profiles seem kinda popular on Wattpad, so here is what I imagine the characters we've met so far would look like. The pictures are made on Playform, which I recommend if you want to make faces that resemble certain celebrities or people you know, but you don't want to upload a picture of them on Wattpad lol. None of these people are real (although they might look like real people) so I'm allowing myself to bash their looks. Feel free to do so as well, and don't hesitate to leave comments about your opinion and questions about each character!!! <3

First and foremost, everyone's least favorite road trip partners: 

Kaitlyn Johansson (or should we just all call her Kathryn out of spite) and her terrifying face. Idk she just looks like she would steal my lunch money. Like, she's judging me through the screen.  And I hate it. If I look at her for too long I start feeling self-conscious. Although I think she's very pretty and I wish I could look like her and jealousy is the reason why her picture makes me irrationally angry - there, I said it. Fuck you, Kait. 

June "Enjoys-eight-hour-long-hikes" Corfield. Let's face it - she's definitely ginger and not strawberry blonde. She's cute but also there's something in her eyes that says "there's nothing in here". You just know she's joined three MLMs and failed to make any of them a viable business. She's going back to SC and DMing all the girls she bullied in Junior High to try and sell them magnetic eyelashes, and sending them a sob story about how she was kidnapped so they buy her stuff. She's also the kind of girl who hates boba tea but still drinks it so she can take pics of it for her IG story. I find her face even more punchable than Kait's and it makes me very happy. 

Ana Peréz, quite a controversial character. Not only because no one seems to agree on whether she's a good person or what her intentions are, but also because I'm apparently unable to spell her name properly. I've checked my drafts and I've used at least three different spellings. Oops. I struggled a lot to make her hair curly so she came out with this dry-looking mess, but I think she's insanely gorgeous and I won't accept any differing opinions because I low-key have a crush on Ana now. I mean, look at that bone structure. I would be very, very interested in hearing your opinions/theories on Ana. Why do you think she treated Sarah the way she did? Should Sarah forgive her? What do you think Ana will do now?

Now onto Pablo's staff!

The best of the absolute best, the Queen of our Hearts and the human equivalent of a cupcake with generous amounts of delicious vanilla icing: Maria Fernanda aka Mafer aka everyone's favorite. I think I nailed the face of a woman who looks "anywhere between thirteen and thirty". The eyes seem innocent and childlike, but the bottom of the face is more mature and motherly. And I think that really fits her character, so idk I'm really proud of this one and absolutely pissed that it came out with such a low quality because I don't want to try and do it again. Dump your love letters to Mafer in the comments <3

Oso the Bodyguard, now he kinda makes me laugh NGL. He looks like Jason Statham's Mexican cousin. There's not much to say about him since we haven't seen (or heard) much of him yet, but don't worry, he'll be following Sarah everywhere now so we'll get to know him better. And, as Mafer said, he's nicer than he looks. Obviously, I'd bonk him, because you just know there's a beautiful set of abs hidden behind those massive ears (but Coati, why are they so big, you may ask? IDK it just happened and I rolled with it.) but I think I'd still jump every time I saw him in a badly-lit corridor.

Beto Arias. I don't mean to be rude but he's the only one here I wouldn't bonk. I'm all into mustaches, don't get me wrong, but this just isn't one I'd be willing to get tangled into. Also, Sarah says he's very sweaty and I just- meh. It's a no for me. Obviously, I meant for him to look that way because he has to look repulsive enough for it to be an immediate red flag whenever he's in a room. As in stranger-danger kind of stranger. Apologies to this fictional Beto and anyone who looks like him because this is straight-up unwarranted slander but ur a creep bye. 

And now drumroll please... saving the best for last, your beloved (or not) leads <3

Starting with Sarah Kennedy, now known as Emilia Mariá Kovács, (it's Koh-vatch, not Koh-vacks, we get it Juan, now fuck off). This was the hardest one to make. For the life of me, I could not make a blonde version of her so this is her AFTER the hair dye, ok? And I wanted to make her average-looking but she somehow came out too pretty but also not pretty enough. 

Warning: don't stare at her for too long because I think I worked on her for so long the AI went all funky and she's kinda reverse cross-eyed. Like some kind of lizard with eyes going the opposite way. (Yes this is exactly why I added a line where she says the picture in her passport looks like she has somewhat of a lazy eye. Sue me). Poor Sarah can't catch a break, even her character profile has to be tragic.

I'd love to know your opinions on Sarah! Do you guys think her behavior makes sense? Do you actually like her or do you think she's a lost cause? (It can be both too, I guess). I tried to make her slightly cringy/infuriating at times so if she gets on your nerves then I've done my job well, but also I want her to be likable enough for the readers to keep wanting to hear her story lol. What are you guys' impressions of her?

BACK TO THE SERIOUS STUFF

Pablo Antonio Juarez Molina, you guys can't even IMAGINE how happy I am to see that the readers are divided about whether they like him or not, and how some of you have changed opinions about him (sometimes more than once) throughout the book. Where do you guys stand as of now?

I wanted him to be controversial, and multi-faceted in a mysterious, sometimes confusing way. Basically, he's just unstable and unpredictable, and I think the way the readers react to him depends entirely on their own personality. Not judging anyone because I'm down there with you but a LOT of us (basically everyone who's into Dark Romance, cough cough) wouldn't survive for very long without developing Stockholm Syndrome if our kidnappers happened to be handsome.

Isn't he handsome? I'd totally bonk him. He makes my butt cheeks tingle. But I also have a thing for older men and mustaches and if you don't that's completely okay and I'm sure you'll come around one day <3

I still attempted to "recreate" him on Playform because consistency is key and also I'm paranoid about copyrights, but even before I started writing this book I knew that he looked like a specific actor (who happens to be my favorite), can you guess who?

I'll save the character profiles of the new characters (Juan, Hernan, Oscar and Gustavo) for later, so that you guys can make your own image of them as you get to know them. More new characters are coming, and I'm very excited about everything that's coming!!
