Chapter XIII

Home.

The waves crashed upon the shore, the sound reaching inside my bedroom.

My eyes weighed heavily.

Daylight cracked through the blinds as I laid myself back flat on to the heavy sheets of the bed.

I closed my eyes as I remembered the day I bought this house. I shut out the sounds and this world to the moments where we were the happiest.

The moments I wish we could relieve. How I had longed for you to be in my arms again.

The last ride of Betty brought us here. My noble steed, its final mission.

That day this house was bought, no servants, no car and no business to stake my name too.

You were here with me, the smile that was on your face. When I told you I wanted you to be the only woman in my life.

Do you remember? What you had said?

You said I was the only man that you wanted. When you gave me that smile when you gave me that kiss.

I was so unnecessarily jealous before about the relationship I thought you had with Chris.

The few days you spent here with me were the best. Now that I no longer have it, I realize how much that I miss it.

The comfort of your arms was my sanctuary. The food you made was exquisite, and the drinks were a plus. Still, at that time I only drank Bacardi. It seemed to taste a lot better from your hands than any other.

Even though each night I would leave you alone claiming that I would be in the study working. You never once complained or made a fuss about it.

You supported my ideas to the fullest, even when they seemed crazy to me.

To believe I would meet you in a bar down on my luck and pockets empty. I couldn't afford a drink, but you never once let me go empty. Those shots of rum in my glass were my only fuel to get me through what I had thought was true hell. Only to see how far I was mistaken.

You love me for me and nothing else. Never had you had any other type of agenda. The things we did the simplest passions for the beach, the park and the gym. Showed me where your heart truly was. Despite the money, you still worked your job as though nothing had changed you were still you, at least that is what I had thought.

I guess I never truly understood how the death of your father had affected you. I never notice how much he meant to you, that old man.

A prick to me. A gift to you.

Life Zora, it never seemed fair. The woman I love would rather drive a stake in my heart.

The picture of it made the thought of you smiling in my mind crack. It was replaced with a bitter rage, a sharpened knife, and a zealous glee for blood.

My blood.

She was nothing more than a bloodthirsty fiend.

My eyes shut as I fell quickly off to sleep.

"Domenic, you are the only man that I want," Zora said to me as she placed a kiss upon my lips.

It was gentle and moist when our lips slowly met. The lingering fresh minty breath as her tongue collided upon mine. It felt like a rush of sugar that was injected into my veins. I could not get enough of her. She ran her hand on my chest and slowly, teasingly lowered as you grabbed hold of your desire. It felt cold to my heated body as she grasped it tightly. The world could have ended outside, but right here and now I needed to be one with her. I parted her naked legs as I got on top of her.

"Round 3?" she asked me.

I smiled as I slowly entered the gateways of heaven. She moaned slightly as her arms gripped around my neck.

"I love you," I said as I lowered myself down on my goddess. She lifted her legs around me.

And as my thrust began, she motioned her body with mine in harmony. We moved with a rhythm similar to the beat in a sound. With the last thrust she lowered me as she nibbled on my ear.

A breath.

A kiss.

A slight whisper.

An unexpected shout.

"Tell me, Domenic, why did you kill my father!!!?"

I couldn't pull away, I couldn't look away as her grip on me was tight, and I was still locked inside her.

She looked nothing like the beautiful woman I knew. Instead what I saw was a corrupted horrid mutilated monster with only small grains of hair and four long sagged breasts. That showed any resemblance of a woman. It was hairy with large fang-like teeth, long claw-like hands, and a beast-like body. It carried hooves instead of feet.

From its mouth gushed and an endless tide of black goo that covered me, then spread filling the room. The golden light color outside was gone, replaced with a red like ray.

The room no longer had a regal look. The pictures each displayed vast different horrors more disturbing than the next.

I felt her body warm like a volcano as I watched the room dissolved. Yet my body felt unphased by it. The room was gone, the bed and finally her. Nothing was left but pitch black and me. I looked left there was nothing, I looked right fumbling in the dark.

"Why did you kill him?" Why did you kill my father!? The voice asked over and over again.

"I did not kill him."

"You lie."

I felt a force push me and as I landed on my feet, I replied. "I did not."

The dark room was filled with a thick water-like substance. I felt its nasty presence on my hand and on my feet as I tried to stand.

"You lie!!" she shouted at me with such rage the water-like substance shook.

"Daddy!" I heard a voice called as a part of the room was broken and white light pierced through.

For a moment I saw it again. Yet I had no strength to move, no strength to fight it. I stood in one place, helpless, like a plant as the light burnt the monster causing it to seek the dark.

I look down on the watery substance before me. It was blood. My hands were covered in it. I could see heads bopping carelessly in the tide. Their faces all turned to me stricken with horror, in a rage, or with fear. The creatures head finally emerged again and spoke.

"You did this!"

"Daddy!" I heard the voice called again.

No words left my mouth as I tried to talk nothing came.

Another unfamiliar creature rose from the goo water and positioned itself over me. Its body covered in blood and scattered long black hair.

Its hand touched my skin. "I died because of you."

"Martini?" The words finally came from me.

"That's not my name," she said, as she grasped and squeezed my throat.

I struggled to breathe as I tried to get my body to move to remove her clenched hands.

Another piece of the wall was pierced as another angle of light rained into the room. A loud splashing sound of the wall falling into the room of blood.

I squirmed in pain as her hands raked into my neck. The light, however, made her vanish, turning her to dust.

There were quick movements in the room as the monster had positioned itself again.

"Why did you have to take the only father I have? I thought you loved me? You only loved yourself, not me. Everything was all lies." It said, causing the room to shake. The heads bobbled up and down as if in agreement.

"I.."

"I don't want to hear your lies!! I will kill you!"

Multiple things popped up from the water with a splashing sound. The light made me able to see all the grotesque zombie looking creatures that came at me.

I looked on in fear, but my body would not move, my strength would not come.

I seemed doomed.

"Daddy wake up!!!"

"Alice?"

The roof fell as light rain down slaying everything that made its way to me in one final act the creature rushed me, its claws barely missing before the light took it.

I sat up suddenly, my eyes were opened and my body sweat. I felt something gripping my side. I turned to face it, to see Alice sleeping next to me with an old book clenched tightly in her hand.

I looked at her long before placing a kiss on my Saviour.
