Aaron's POV

She's fine...

She's excellent...

She's outstanding...

She's okay...

I tap the kitchen counter, trying convince myself not to worry.

I fail.

I hear slight whimpers.

I turn my head, finding Arrow, licking my ankles.

I smile a bit, squatting down to massage his head.

Though he backs away, running out of the room.

Odd, he always likes being pet.

I follow the pup to the living room, finding him nudging the remote with his sensitive nose.

The remote?

He nudges it again, worry in his eyes.

I come over picking the remote up and turning on the tv.

The news comes on.

"Breaking news: There has been a bomb explosion at the Phoenix Drop Mall."

"It has been said that it originated at the northeast part of the mall and caused severe damage to that area." 

"Many are believing that this is an act of terrorism." The news reporter states, the background behind her consisting of the large building having smoke emerge from the roof tops and windows.

Wait......

The mall...

The northeast area....

The area where her favorite store is...

No....

My heart starts to sink.

My breathing becomes rapid....

She said she'd be fine.....

SHE SAID!

I sprint out of the room, then out of the house.

Aph.....please be at the freaking food court or something...

I arrive at the scene, parking my car near the northeast entrance.

I jump out, running towards one of the police officers.

The air was filled with a solemn tone, very much like the officer's expression.

"Sir? Can you please tell me if you have seen a Aphmau Phoenix anywhere?" I panicky plead.

 "What does she look like?" He asks, crossing his arms.

"Um short....black hair......she was accompanied by a girl with blue hair.." 

He stops me.

"There is a girl with blue hair over there" He states, pointing to one of the ambulances.

I look to where he was pointing, finding Katelyn with a blanket wrapped around her as she leans against one of the ambulances talking to a paramedic.

"Thank you" I tell the officer.

I run over to Katelyn, a bit of hope arising in my chest.

If she's alright, Aphmau has to be alright.

Right?

"Katelyn, oh thank god, where's Aph?"

"Aaron! Oh my gosh! wait......I haven't seen her yet..."

What.....

"SHE'S STILL IN THERE?!" I yell at her.

I run my hand through my hair, trying to prevent tears from emerging.

Why did I let her go?

"Aaron there is something....." Katelyn starts but is interrupted by one of the officers yelling.

"Hey! Someone get that dog!"

Dog....

I turn my head, finding Arrow running though the doorway of the mall's entrance.

He's looking for her.

I run after Arrow, also getting yelled at by police officers.

I reach the inside of the burning building, the air full of smoke.

I start to cough, soot generating on my lungs.

I bring my hoodie up to mouth to filter my breaths.

It didn't work that well.

I see Arrow run into one of the stores, barking and sniffing.

I run into the store, finding Arrow sniffing a fallen wall piece.

He was licking someone's hand.

Aph

I come over to her, lifting the concrete off her.

I throw it to the side, finding her under it unconscious and covered in dust.

"Aph....hey" I say, hope in my voice.

I shake her slightly.

Nothing

"Aph....please come back to me...."

Arrow starts licking her cheek, collecting some of the soot from her skin.

"Aph.....don't do this...." I say, my voice breaking.

The smoke continues to spread throughout the building.

"I just got you back...." 

I cradle her head in my hands.

"I can't lose you again....."

Still nothing.

Her skin pale with dust....and with no blood circulation.

"You are everything to me....."

"My world...."

"My light...."

"Everytime I get up in the morning, I know you are there...."

"And I want to have so much with you...."

"I want to have a life with you...."

"So don't give up yet......"

"Don't give up on us..."

"Don't worry, I'll help you....."

I sneak my arm under her knees and the other under back, then I stand up, picking her up in a bridal position.

She is as limp as a ragdoll.

"The doctors will fix you up, and try their hardest to save you....."

"So you have to try too"

Katelyn's POV

That idiot

The ceiling could collapse on him or worse...

But he went in for Aph.

Please be okay.

For everyone's sake.

My eyes catch a glimpse of something you only see in movies.

Though I can assure this was no movie.

Aaron came running out, carrying out a limp Aphmau in his arms.

The paramedics come over to him, dragging a gurney behind them.

Aaron places her on the gurney and hops into the ambulance with her.

I come in too, dropping the blanket.

I see Aphmau, covered in soot and dust.

I see Aaron, grasping her hand.

Come Aph.....

Not again....

I just feel bad I haven't updated the past few days so I gave you another chappie!
