Chapter 21
§Travis's POV§
I slowly opened my eyes, looking around. I was in a maze, the green walls shooting up into the beautiful plum sky. Vines draped over the walls, small little daisy jutting from the leafy surface. The walls were covered in cherry red roses; small drops of dew were sticking onto the surface. I smiled, looking down. He stood on a beautiful path of rainy cloud gray pebbles, some smokier than others.
I chuckled, running my fingers through my lush hair, tugging on my scalp. I looked around, seeing where I should go. In front of me, a trail keeps going forward; so far I could only squint my eyes to see the horizon.
Nope.
I looked to my right,
Wall.
I looked to my left,
Wall.
I turned around,
Wall.
"Dammit." I hissed, digging my boot into the ground, kicking a large rock. The stone skipped over to the large hedge on my left. I sighed, "So Sit here, or walk all the way there..." I muttered, looking around. I pursed my lips; centering my hands on my hips.
After thinking for a good moment, I started hiking forward, as I have nothing better to do anyway. I placed my hands into my pockets, walking along the road. I wonder where I even am, perhaps a dream?
I broke into a run, kicking small chunks of stone from beneath my feet, sending them to ricochet off the leafy walls. My snowy hair fluttered in the fresh winds. My strides became wider as I continue. I threw my arms into the air, leaping up and letting out a howl. I think I was having to much fun. Nonetheless, I bolted down the pathway.

I stopped, finding an opening in the walls. I peeked my head in; it was a garden, surrounded by the green walls. There was a stone bench in the left-hand corner, roses, and vines climbing up the seat. In the middle was a small stone platform. Vines were sprawling up the sides. I looked to my right, nothing more than a plain old rose bush sat there.
I took a step in, eyeing the bush.
I looked back at the platform, now seeing a figure standing there, keep their back to me. Night black hair, held in a smallish pony tail, along with a fancy white tuxedo.
It was Zane.
"Hey, Zane!" I called out to him. The younger slowly turned around, I saw his face and shuttered. Black colored blood seeped from his mouth, leaking like a faucet that was nearly on. His eye was calm, while the hair covered his other. I noticed how his cheeks had a small dent like he'd been holding in a breath. I tried to reach out to him, but I was frozen.
I physically couldn't move.
"Zane?!" I called out, wanting to hear his voice.
He looked at me like I was a monster. But that's when I felt it... The small tingle was growing in my upper back, slowly panging into a horrible pain. Something was drilling into my back, splashes of blood spilling from my hoodie.
The monster is behind me,
I tried turning my head, wanting to see it...
Black hair, blue eyes and-
I shot up from my bed, throwing my sheets off of my body. A cold sweat had completely coated my flesh; head to fucking toe. I gripped onto my lime green shirt, feeling uneasy. The pain was still there, like a heart beat; pounding through my back. "What the fuck...?"I muttered.
I slowly ran my hand down my back, and I felt a small pencil hanging from my skin. I slept with a pencil in my bed, rolled over, and it stabbed me in the back. This pencil betrayed me. I chucked the damn thing across the room, hearing the small click of the wood slamming into a wall. I groaned, looking over at the alarm clock; 3:43 AM.
I fell back into the bed, the mattress making a "POOF.". I sighed, well I'm awake now.
I guess I'm not getting much sleep tonight.
Nonetheless, I closed my eyes, a small spinning motion around me. But all I could think of was Zane's face...
