You don't like disappointments. Be it from someone close or even distant, it still hurts you so much.

And that is why you only let some people in. You only get close to some people because you realize you would rather have a few close people than a whole bunch of fake ones.

But then even the close ones disappoint you. You realize that you were feeding your own self lies, believing that there are possibly some people who truly care about you.

No one is here to stay.

They all leave.

Everyone who comes close to you, wants something from you.

Fame, comfort, secrets, attention, favors..they all want something or the other. And once they get it, they leave. They leave very easily, as if you didn't matter to them at all, while you are here spending hours thinking about why you are never enough?

People don't care. They are just greedy.

Sometimes they pretend to care, other times they don't even bother.

But actions speak louder than words.

And that is when you realize why people are so fake nowadays. Why they are best friends with people they secretly hate. Why they never talk to people they actually want to get to know.

The reason is no one wants something genuine.

Everyone wants something according to their needs, and let me tell you, needs keep changing every single day.

People are like trains. Come and go. Never stay. Never stay for long. But always stay for long enough to make you realize you are not worth it.

You are not worth efforts.

Worthless.

This happens in every sort of relationship. Be it friendship or love or family or anything else.

And then you just accept.

No expectation, just acceptance.
