Jade POV:

Think of the moment where you had no control of something happening to a person around you and you are helpless to their situation. Fear consumes you once you see her head bob up and down and struggle to get air. In out, in out, in out. There is no stopping her from trying to reach the surface; her arms flailing and gasping for oxygen fulfills your ears and your vision. You knew it was a bad idea once you saw the stormy clouds and intense wind pick up. Perrie could swim, this you knew, but the waves were getting even more powerful that you could barely keep afloat yourself. 

The sirens alarm, screams can be heard, you panic and see Jesy and Leigh running on the shore screaming for you and Perrie to get out of the water. The lifeguard looks straight towards Perrie while she is wrestling the seemingly deep water. He runs off, saving himself before the worse comes to pass. How come the lifeguard won't do anything to save her? Is he that much of an ignorant bastard to actually do his job for once?

Anger instantly washes over you but doesn't fully overpower your terror burning in your throat and abdomen. Not only are you scared for your bandmates life, but she could be your potential soulmate in your eyes. Her golden locks, her piercing blue eyes, her effortless strut when she walks over to you to whisper an inside joke in your ear. The late night talks, your intense stares at each other that seem to always linger longer than they usually do with your other bandmates. All this flashes into your mind, you know Perrie feels it too, the heat that rises in your throat when you get a little too close, the burning pit and desire in both of your guys stomachs, but then you remember Jed and Alex. 

You love Jed dearly, he is supposed to be your forever, and Alex is supposed to be Perrie's, but you both have this undeniable bond that causes both of you to be drawn together like magnets yearning for more. Jesy and Leigh can sense the tension but always play it off like it's just the intense Geordie bond you two share, but you know deep down that they know you love Perrie. They know she is your everything, if she were to disappear you would be heartbroken, not wanting to be alive anymore without her, and with that you are pulled out of your thoughts that seemed to consume you for hours when in reality it's only been a matter of seconds. Finally you start a plan to save her. 

Even if nothing happens between you two, she is your best friend, and you would literally do anything for her, she has everything to live for: a loving family, a devoted boyfriend, everlasting friendships. You decide to not do this for yourself, but for Jesy, for Leigh, for Alex, for Debbie, and most importantly for Perrie.

You look over again at her fighting for every last breath, but also hear the gurgling of water starting to fill her throat and lungs which brings you out of your haze. It's now or never, you must take action now, or else she could be gone forever. You start to make your way towards the warrior, slowly but surely. Your strong strokes battle the pounding waves and high tide. They may not be the most effective, but it's what is saving you both now so you decide to ignore the fact of how the clouds are swirling above you and the screaming of Leigh and Jesy back on land.

There she is, within arms reach, helplessly waiting for someone to at least notice. Her struggle becomes less powerful, she starts to lose energy and feels like giving up. Though this is happening, you finally reach her and with all of your power, try to bring her to the edge of the water that meets a lone buoy off in the distance; to safety. It seems easier than you expected, maybe the current helps, she stops flailing and latches onto your arm and are thankful for your lucky stars that you reached her in time.

Once you pull her back to the edge and lift her up near the buoy, there is screaming silence that is then followed by a big rumble of thunder then a flash of lightning that strikes somewhere near the shore. You yell for your fellow bandmates, fear swallows you up, Perrie's erratic breathing in your ear as she gropes onto you for dear life, and that's when you calmly but boldly tell her "Hang on to my back, I'm going to get us to shore then out of here." Perrie slowly nods, with pleading hope in her eyes, you can't help but stare into them and whisper "If anything happens to us, just know that I'm yours."

Before you can witness Perrie's reaction to your confession you start your intense paddle to land. You slowly are getting tired, your limbs feel as though if they are crumbling, and you start to swallow more and more water making it hard to breathe and see your final destination. Right before you can feel your lungs give out you bring yourself underwater releasing Perrie from your back, then you tell her "Go! You can make it from here, but I don't think I can go any longer!" Perrie looks back at you, eyes brimming with tears. She then yells at you "No! I can't leave you, we always stick together!" Perrie resists the urge to go to shore while she looks you in your eyes. God those crystal blue eyes piercing your own golden brown orbs. 

The next thing you say is both unintentional and intentional at once, "But I think it's time I let you go...I love you Pez." And with that you let the silent tears roll down your face, let go of Perrie's arm, and push her away from you towards land before you are eaten away by the monstrous waves. You slowly bob up and down through the water, letting it take you away to a sweet escape, hearing screams of protest from both the storm and Perrie when you come up for air. You then sneak a peek at Perrie who is being dragged to shore by Jesy and Leigh while screaming all kinds of curse words and pleads at you. Before finally going under and slipping into euphoria, your last thought is "I know I can't live without Perrie, but what if she can't live without me?" 

AN: Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed it and don't worry because it isn't over yet. I'm going to be adding one more chapter in Perrie's POV and what seems to come after this little rollercoaster of there...But I'm not going to spoil it and tell you if Jade is alive or not, you'll just have to wait and see.
