I wake up the next morning in my bed, confused as hell. I assume Haru brought me up. I blush. Ugh, that's embarrassing... It's Saturday so, I don't have to worry about going to school.

I grab my phone and turn it on. It all of a sudden blows up with notifications from last night. I got text from Makoto, Haruka, Nagisa, and even Rei. They all pretty much asked if I was okay. In a group chat, I texted them all an apology for worrying them. After doing so, I put my phone away and got ready for the day.

After putting on some clothes, I get a separate text from Makoto.

Makoto: Hey, (Y/N). If you're not busy, can we hang out and talk?

Me: ya, sure. Stop by my place if you can.

Ten minutes later, Makoto showed up at my door. I guess this is serious?

"Come in." I say, opening the door for him. He reluctantly steps inside.

"(Y/N), I was so worried about you. I know that you texted us that you were fine but, I just wanted to make sure." He explains, wordiness in his emerald eyes. I blush.

"I'm fine." I mumble. "I'm so sorry for making you worry. It wasn't my intention. I just needed a little time by myself."

"No need to be sorry, (Y/N). As long as you're okay." He says, sighing in relief. I get Haru and Makoto are my friends, but why do they worry so much about me...? This question plaques my mind.

"I was thinking..." He says after a bit of silence.

"Yeah...?" I asks.

"Maybe you should tell Rin the truth? He doesn't know what happened and I don't want anyone to unintentionally hurt you by them not knowing." He explains.

"Yeah, I understand." I nod in agreement. "After all, Rin does deserve to know."

*Time Skip*

"Wow, I'm so sorry, (Y/N)." Rin says after me explaining my past. He gives me a quick hug.

"No, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner." I say, releasing from the hug.

"I feel bad for mentioning swimming to you." He says, looking upset. I shake my head.

"Don't feel bad. You didn't know." I say.

"Okay. Well, thanks for telling me. I should get back to practice. See you guys later." Rin says before leaving Makoto and I alone in the Samezuka hallway. I turn to Makoto.

"Thanks for coming with me. It means a lot." I say, giving him a hug now.

"No problem, (Y/N)." He says softly, hugging me back. "Do you want me to take you back to your house? I'm planning on practicing by myself at Iwatobi."

"Would you mind for me to watch? I don't think I have anything to do, today." I say.

"Are you sure?" He questions, surprise at my statement. I nod.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." I reassure.

"Okay then." He smiles. I smile back and we head off.

*Time Skip*

I'm not too sure why I wanted to come watch Makoto swim. Maybe because it's because it has been awhile since I have. I've always admired Makoto's backstroke. He's so beautiful to watch swim. Plus, his back muscles is another nice thing to watch...

I pull out my phone, scrolling through Tumblr, listening to the light sound of the water splashing coming from Makoto. A few minutes later, I heard the splashing stop...

I look up and see Makoto motionless in the pool.

"Makoto?!" I shout. Without thinking or even caring I ran up to the pool. I stop for a second before carelessly jumping in. Luckily, he was close to the edge of the pool so, I didn't have to swim that far to pick him up. Using all my strength, I swim him up to the edge, successfully getting him out of the pool. I lay him flat on the ground.

"Makoto! Wake up!" I shout. What the hell happened. Thankfully, while overseas I learned how to preform CPR.

(A/N: Bear with me, I don't actually know CPR so, sorry if I get something wrong)

I check his body for injuries. His head has a bump on it so, I assume he hit his head and got knocked out. I place my ear over his mouth, his breathing very shallow

I quickly calm myself down. I need to do CPR to him. I gently tilt his head back, making sure his mouth is slightly open. I pinch his nose and I lean down and place my mouth over his, breathing in. I remove my mouth from his. Before I could push down on his chest to continue the procedure, Makoto quickly opens up his eyes, instantly coughing up water.

"Makoto!" I cry. He sits up and coughs more.

"(Y/N)?" He says between breaths. After he was done with his coughing fit, I give him a hug.

"Oh my god, you scared the shit out of me." I whine, finally allowing myself to cry. He hugs me back tight. "We need to get you to the hospital to see if there's anything wrong!" I remove myself from the hug. Before I could get up, Makoto gently grabs my wrist and pulls me down with him again. He gently yet, tightly embraces me once more.

"No, I'll be alright, I don't need a doctor. I just need you right here for a bit... Thank you for saving me, (Y/N)." He whispers. I blush.

"Don't thank me, it was the obvious thing to do." I say, still crying. We sit there for what seems like hours, hugging while Makoto calmed me down.

"I'm sorry for making you go in the water."
Makoto says, his voice breaking a bit.

"I don't care about that. That was the last thing on my mind." I explain. It's true. I may have hesitated for a split second but I still manage to save him. "But, please... Can I take you to the doctors... You might have a concussion or worse I-."

"Okay, (Y/N)-chan." He finally agrees with a small smile. I let out a sigh of relief, for once, not caring that he called me chan.

*Time Skip*

Luckily, Makoto had no serious injuries. The doctor said if I wasn't there, there was a high chance that Makoto would've died. I try hard not to think about that... I drop him off at his house, explaining to his parents what happened. They greatly appreciated me being there for their son and they offered for me to stay over for dinner. I politely declined, wanting some time alone after today.

I walked home to an empty house, as always. Though, I don't really mind. I walk up to my room to change clothes, the ones I'm wearing smell like chlorine. The sent making me feel nostalgic.

I can't believe I went into the water... I get that I was trying to save Makoto but, still... I look over to the bag with the swimsuit that Haru bought me, inside it.

Maybe it's time to officially get over this fear...

And there's only one person I have in mind who can help me
