"Is that Zoyanna I see?" A smile broke through my face at the realization of my best friends voice. She smiled once I turned around, she was beautiful. She had golden skin that shined under the light that cascaded down her form. Her big round brown eyes were behind thick glasses that framed her face. She was wearing a dress today, the same as me except hers was white. Our best friend connection was strong seeing as we had the exact same thought in mind.

"Were you creeping in my mind again?" I asked even though I knew the answer judging from her expression. She winked at me before grabbing my hand and leading me to whatever she had in mind. "Well you see, I wasn't exactly planning to creep into your mind this morning love. It sort of just happened when I felt your excitement for the outfit you are wearing right now. By the way, you look absolutely stunning in it, I mean we both do, don't you agree?"

I was able to get a nod in there before she continued blabbing on about what had happened with the pack that I missed from last night. I happily followed behind her as she looks to be leading me to the packed house. I guess it was time to face the pack and get back into the groove of things, I knew I was slacking with my socializing.

My feral once again moved beneath my bones, making herself comfortable underneath my skin. I knew she felt uneasy every time we're close to others especially certain pack members who I could go on with my day without naming. "Zoy I need you to do me a favor and try to keep your cool today, please." I rolled my shoulders back and put a little more pep in my step once the building came into view. My mothers' voice entered my mind once more and I quickly pushed away her harsh opinion.

"I'm always in check Jessica." She wrinkled her noses at the use of her full name. She didn't speak but I could clearly see what was going through her mind. I didn't speak on it though. "Will we be watching a movie or going to the mall?" I questioned hoping to push the conversation to a lighter topic.

She didn't catch the change or simply didn't mind. "We'll be meeting up with the others to go to the mall, you know how the Alpha wishes for us to go in groups now." Jessica hated the new rule because it directly applied to her, she shouldn't have got caught messing with the boys from the surrounding packs. She wasn't a hoe, don't get me wrong though she did like to have her fun with the naive boys who were blinded by her beauty.

"I wonder why?"

"Oh shut your pie hole." Her tone didn't match the small smirk that rose on her face.

We climbed the stairs continuing on with our conversation. I didn't pay attention to the stares around me that unflinching watched me. I wish I could show them what I was made of with the blatantly disrespectful stares. They just didn't seem to learn that I don't like being watched, I felt like I was constantly under constant inspection when they turned their gaze my way.

"Don't let them get to you." It was hard to take her advice, I was raised to put those who thought they could get away with insolence in check. I was their future pack leader and no matter what beef we have I do deserve the respect I earned. I wish my mothers' teachings weren't so ingrained inside me sometimes, though I thank them in moments like these when I need the strength to keep my back straight.

I took her advice, though I couldn't say the same for my feral who was ready to come out and give a piece of her mind to those around her. She didn't mind getting bloody as she solidified herself more strongly against my bones letting me know she was there with me. That we were a team against those who wish to take a hand in trying to battle me.

"There will be no fighting Zoyanna!" I sneered at the new voice that entered the space me and Jessica had currently taken up. "What do you want Shane?" I questioned with a bit of annoyance, he was one of those I really did wish to avoid. He was the Alpha's son and the aura he had around him made him seem like the biggest asshole out there, which he gladly took up the position in.

"I don't think you should address me in such a tone. Remember who you're talking to and what I can do to you." He raised an eyebrow at me. "More like say actually, to your parents right?" What did I say, asshole right?

"We don't exactly need that right now Shane." Our my dear best friend was able to pull the attention off of me thankfully. Thank God the little shit had a crush on her and turned into a blubbering mess when she entered the conversation. I could already tell them two will be mates once they fully become of age, it was really expected. The Alphas son and Betas daughter are more than likely to become mates than any other pair.

"Oh sorry Jessica, I didn't realize that you were here." Liar. "Though I'll chill off, for now, you know I'm just playing with Zoy." Oh boy even throwing in my nickname in to portray the smoothness in his voice. She flashed him one of her million dollar smiles and that sealed the deal for a brief conversation between the two. I didn't particularly pay attention to them instead rather setting my eyes on a certain beauty that sat in the main room reading a book.

Her name was Rya, a doll indeed with a full hair of bouncing curls and a dark complexion. She had high cheekbones that fit in perfectly with her heart-shaped face and was finished with a smile that touched from cheek to cheek. I admired the smoothness of her skin as she flipped a page in her book, her eyes slowly moving from one side of the page to the next. I wished I was that book, being caressed by her gaze as she flipped my emotions constantly.

Okay, maybe I did have a crush. "Zoyanna!"

My attention was snapped to Jessica who had her hand out. "What are you looking at?" I shrugged my shoulders before taking hers. "Just lost in thought I guess." She didn't look fully convinced and I made sure to put up my mental walls to keep her out of my brain. "I guess I have no other choice but to trust your word." I nodded my head as I allowed her to drag me to the next place she had in mind, the lovely female still on my mind.

God was she a beautiful creature.
