Chapter 3
I sometimes wished that the moon goddess had never given me siblings especially when I'm sleeping on a Saturday morning. I wasn't blessed enough because at six in the morning I was woken up by a large object jumping on me or well person.
"Wake up sleepy head!" I groaned and this person giggle. Girly giggle. So it was Elyze that has decided to deal with my grumpiness. "Am I allowed to eat your soul now or after I've eaten breakfast?" My voice was heavy, a clear show that I was still sleepy. Did she care though? No.
"Well if you eat me now then you won't have enough room for breakfast and if you eat me after your stomach will be so full that you'll explode!" She made a dramatic kaboom noise with her mouth and I sighed. I swore in this family sighing was the only thing keeping me going.
"Ze you're heavy, my ribs might crack under the pressure." Groaning and moaning seemed to loosen her up a bit. "I know you're lying but if you give me your donut then I'll get off of you." Her deal was easier then deals with Malik. He was heartless when it comes to getting things he wants and I know this first hand.
"I'll give you half a donut," Making sure to emphasize on the half. "And I won't tickle you to you cry this time." She was still bouncing on me which she stopped thankfully to think about the deal I gave her. She'll still get a donut and I won't be as ruthless as I could be for punishment for her sitting on me.
"Fine, I guess." She drew out her words as she got off of me. I practically got up acting as though I was cracking my back in different places. "Damn Ze I may need to do some yoga to get the dents you placed on me." I could almost smack her for the way her eyes rolled. "I'm going downstairs, you bore me. I'll be waiting for my donut."
"Half!" I yelled after her but the door shut on the last sylabble. I wouldn't be surprised if I did go downstairs and found none left. We were wolves and our appetites were huge even for the younger ones. They were no where near capable to showing us mercy when it comes to food, especially meat.
I didn't waste time in gathering my things to go take a shower. I didn't want mother prodding me this morning and would rather instead smell like bloosming strawberries. I thank my dad silently for the gift that he keeps restocking everytime I run out. The crazy thing is I don't even be asking him to do that, he just does. I guess because of his involment more into the pack then at home, though I wasn't about to complain.
Once in and out of the shower, I decided to lotion up my entire body as I stared at myself in the mirror. I was beautiful. I had dark brown skin and a pair of honey eyes, full lips and a constellation of freckles across my cheeks. I knew I was beautiful and I damn well knew that I had to wear something to piss my folks off.
Opening my closet, I began searching through the numerous amounts of clothing that I owned and happily chose a dress. Once putting it on, I gazed at myself in the mirror. The dress was all black with a deep plunge down the center and curved into a heart neckline. It was a bit over the knees showing off my long legs that I graciously thank my mother for.
Leaving the room I roamed the hallway, looking into each room, coming to the conclusion that my family was already downstairs. Guess I must have been the last one to be sleeping, no thanks to Elyze of course.
Once downstairs I noticed that the curtains were open allowing a soft shine to be seen across the furniture. I heard soft conversations in the dining room and once entered the attention was turned to me. I smiled at them as I sat down across from Malik.
"Finally up I see." The fork scraped up food as I ignored the mark.
"So what do we have planned today?" Malik asked bring my mothers attention away from me. She gave it a second before turning her attention to him. She smiled softly at him before answering. "Well I was thinking we all can go to the training fields and do some run-throughs." Oh I was so not doing that, it was a Saturday and early in the morning.
"You sure Zoy will participate." That rat face girl had the audacity to smile at me as she ate the donut. My donut at that, I glared at her seeing as the attention was put back on me once again. She never fails to fall to the bottom of my list of who's my favorite.
"Well, I was expecting her to be going along, right?" Her question was meant to be asking but the tone already had my answer before I even said anything. I rolled my eyes and almost smacked my lips but I knew I wouldn't get away with that without a slap to the lips. I could feel the tingling startup just from the simple thought of it.
"Of course I am, I wouldn't miss it for the world." My overly sweet words had a smile gracing my father's face, though only a small one. I would take it if that's what I could get. "Dad what are you going to be doing?" I asked as I cut up a piece of the toast on my plate. The servants are always so quiet when bringing out our food, I'm sure that's apart of the requirements though.
"I actually think I'll go visit the Alpha today to discuss some important topics that have recently been brought up to me by the Beta." My mom took a small slip of the red wine in her glass. I guess I can tell which of her will be seen today. She watched me and I could tell I didn't wish to play this game, she'll always find a way to win especially against me.
I nodded my head at his statement, I guess that cleared my father from my mother's wrath. I hurried to finish up my food so that I wouldn't have to be seen with them when walking over to the training grounds like some little kid. I didn't have time for the relentless teasing from my pack mates nor from my best friend.
"I'll see you guys over there."
I was out before my mother could utter a single syllable.
