Hah... Haha,
HahahahAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!

Your stomach dropped to your feet as the world around you became silent, hauntingly quiet.

They're all going to die Y/n
They'll be S L A U G H T E R E D !

Another screech filled all of the ears around and they got ready, stabilizing their stances. While the determination was strong within them, so was their fear.

Asgore set the bear woman down and turned towards the wall with a fearless look on his face while holding his trident, firmly in the dusty Earth.

The shuffling of armour sounded as Undyne stepped to the front of the army of monsters and stood next to the King. She took one look at Asgore, who spared her a glance and a nod.

She then readied her troops with a simple raise of her blue spear as they all quickly got into formation among the other monsters as to evenly spread them out with the civilian monsters who were also wearing some armour. It was not as heavy duty for some on request, like Grillby who didn't want any armour.

The screeching began to get louder and louder but the most horrifying thing was the fact that the screeching could be heard in more than one place.

Your heart pumped excruciatingly fast and made it all your ears could focus on. A sudden screech from behind you made both you and Sans (and most other monsters) jump and turn on it on high alert.

The was a bushel of spiked vines crawling out from beneath the soil as it thrashed around violently, scratching a few others but had lethally cut a monster from shoulder to leg, and instantly killed him, already claiming a life and leaving a pile of haunting dust behind.

A few cried out, but they had no time to mourn before possessed spiders meant to be dead, dropped from the stone filled ceiling and swiped at the monsters. From what you could tell there were vines inside of them.

Some were only visible if you noticed the unnatural growths webbing their way all about under the skin, while most were far more grotesque, getting vines to pour out of three of their eye sockets or falling out of their mouth, or just bursting through the dead flesh in clumps. What was worse was the greenery didn't seem to be attached to anything out side of the body, so extracting the vines would be close to impossible.

At the sight of these unholy creations an enraged shout could be heard coming from a monster which looked to be a spider you realized was Muffet.

You couldn't begin to be able to comprehend what she must be feeling at the sight of all her brothers and sisters bodies brought back from the dead in such a way to do someone else's bidding, to fight against her with all those memories she'd have of them.

Finally the flowery fuck showed himself wearing a sadistic grin on his face. He sat atop a what looked like a TV stuck inside a large confusion of vines and tubes, and on either side of it sat what looked to be skinned animal jaws along with what looked to be eerily similar to human eyes. The monstrosity crawled over the pretty much useless castle walls in a smooth, unsettling pace with its enormous green paws like the wall wasn't even there and landed on the ground on the other side.

"Well, well, well... if it isn't the three amigos Sans, Undyne, King Asgore. Although I gotta say I'm a bit surprised you're actually here, I think I'm getting star struck!" He mocked putting his leaf arm to his forehead. The King frowned at the little prick and yelled out "What do you want?!"

The flower shrugged. "World domination? Something to do?" His eyes drifted to you. "Being one step closer to bringing my best friend back to life? Take your pick."

You felt Chara grin wildly at the flowers indifferent yet poison filled words.

Undyne growled up at the flower "This is your last chance to back down." Flowey pulled his attention off of you to the blue fish uninterested. "Oh no... I'm too afraid... Please stop... You're too intimidating." He mocked with half lidded eyes.

He chuckled and then threw an empty vial at her feet, it plunked into the dirt carelessly. She looked down at it and thinned her eyes at it.

"I gotta say, I most likely would've be scared if it weren't for Y/n's blood, that nice amount of Chara really gave me the firepower to turn anyone to dust." He said with a smug smirk looking at his leaf absentmindedly.

Undyne growled and was about to charge at the little petaled fiend until a large paw-like fist gaurded by a heavy gauntlet stopped her, hovering before her. Asgore looked up to the flower a look of pleading scetched across his hairy face "Is there any way to stop you from doing this?"

The flower looked to the king from his leaf, then to you "No." And like that with an unnerving blank stare, he had just assured a war.

The king sighed. "So be it."

Without a second to think about it the King launched himself towards the flower at an incredible speed, taking Undyne by surprise, but she quickly recovered and swooped her spear above her head towards the flower with a battle cry.

The flower quickly shrunk back behind the TV and it flickered to life with a scary ass face that started to twitch unnaturally. A vine came out of nowhere and swatted at the king, to which Asgore stabbed with his red trident. The vine flailed violently in pain, and made the goat man fall back to the earth.

Your eyes darted from one threat to another. The vines shooting out from the ground seemed to be the most immediate danger. So without an explanation you grabbed Sans by the hood and dragged him to a cement platform close to the castle, unbeknownst to Flowery to be safe from the vines.

And to your surprise, Alphys was there with a bunch more monsters, hiding around the corner with some medical supplies. She was petrified.

You wondered how/when they got here.

Sans brought you back to the situation at hand as he shrugged your grip off of him as he turned to you, seemingly understanding why you dragged him there. "What's your plan kid?" He asked looking around on high alert.

You looked around swiftly until your pupils landed on a chair close by. With one quick motion you gripped it and swung it around, smashing it onto the ground, getting two legs off it with some type of nail poking out at the top of both legs.

Turning back to Sans you began to talk in a hurry "Lets go for the two big legs to bring him down to the ground." You said looking at the green monster, with your heart in your throat. Sans looked at it too and added on to your statement "To even the playing field."

"Yeah, that's the plan, but we'll need to be covered to get close." You looked back to Sans and met his eyes "Do you think you can make some sort of shield or forcefield?"

Sans thought for a moment then conjured a bunch of blue and white bones floating closely around you both "How's this?" He asked as his white pupils kept darting back to the war going on.

Yeah sure, fuck it.

You nodded hurriedly "Yeah, that'll do."

With that both you and the skeleton took a moment to find a clear shot at the legs while it was distracted by the other monsters.

The chance of a clear path presented itself and neither of you let yourselves hesitate. Spiked vines swung around with no rhythm or coordination and seeds were darting around violently, however they each disintegrated once they came into contact with the blue floating bones.

Both of you slipped under the monster and quickly got to work, not letting yourself catch your breath you held to two spiked wooden planks tightly and brought it them to the side and stepped into whipping the two wooden legs into the large support beam of a leg, sinking the two sharp, rough nails in the thick plant.

With a strong tug to get it started, you violently ripped the leg open by dragging the nails and splintered wood of the chair legs all around the circumference of the thick vine.

The tearing of plant life was drown out by an incredibly loud screech from Flowey that set off alarm bells in your brain, telling you to bolt. But you knew this was going to be vital to get a leg up in the battle, so you didn't stop. Finally making it all the way around, the cut greenery curled back in a grotesque manner. You took advantage of it and started to slash at the newly revealed, more sensitive area in a fiery rampage of part rage, part scared-out-or-your-goddamn-mind.

Small white bullets began to dart at you in an attempt to stop you. You were able to fend by yourself for a while, hitting the seeds away, however they quickly got more aggressive and whenever it nicked it progressively got more dangerous and strong.

On the bright side the attacks seemed like that of guesswork, so he didn't have a sure idea where you exactly stood. Or if he did know, he was just in a flurry of blind anger and was trying to hit anything under him.

When you decided that you would most likely die was when a seed zipped right through one of the chair legs in your hands and broke it in half with ease, sending splinters of wood out after the seed for at least ten feet.

Thankfully Sans was done right as that happened. "Y/n! Let's go! We're done!" He called from his clean cut vine, a definitive contrast between his cut vine and yours. His was cut sharp like piano wire sliced through it with no trouble, while yours looked like a dull, serrated knife was jabbed and ripped across the thick plant leg.

Yours wasn't completely severed, but it had to be good enough because the attacks Flowey was sending were getting too rough for you to be able to stand much longer before he really got pissed off and was able to pin point your exact location.

Sans frantically waved for you to get out of there. You didn't have time to run to his side of the beast so you ran the other way, just in time too because the underside of Floweys power contraption hit the ground as the legs finally broke down completely, satisfyingly snapping the one leg you had almost finished under the weight of the crashing body.

You could see the army of monsters advancing on Flowey, who frantically swat at all the monsters he could. However you couldn't watch for long before becoming acutely aware of the literal warzone you were standing in.

Bursting into a breathless sprint you pushed yourself to run for the clearing, away from all the spiked vines. Adrenaline pumped into your blood as you realized that you really had nothing to defend yourself with besides the chair legs, one broken and completely usless.

You lacked the skill and coordination to be able to use the little broken stick defensively.

With a quick slide on your knees and then a rushed, slightly sloppy jump, you were able to dodge most of the blind attacks, aside from a few scratches and hits here and there. A couple of attacks actually drew blood which was not something you needed right now. The blood drops made the vines get a stronger.

It dawned on you that it was in everyone's best interest for you to stay alive and keep the blood in your body.

Finally you made it out to see the monsters stabbing, shooting and burning the downed flower. Sans stood on the opposite side of Flowey, shooting at him with a few small animal skulls (you'd seen before) but noticed he was also actively scanning around him with quick glances, trying not to let his guard down.

You weaved through the monsters and dust piles almost unnoticed, dodging seeds being shot, lethal greenery, and... Big... Ballet shoes? Shaking your distracted mind you made your way to Sans and stood next to him, wooden weapons on alert.

He spared a relieved grin at you, seeing you were alright aside from some scratches. However his grin dropped as he called "Y/n look out!" You turned just in time to get whacked in the stomach and be thrown to the side carelessly. Sans quickly turned one of the floating skulls towards the spider and shot at it repeatedly and without mercy. It screeched and sizzled, curling into itself earning an agonizing but quick death.

A groan came from you and you felt Chara start to shake inside your head, they were excited to take control, and you were scared they just may due to the drastic mood differences.

This was exactly when Chara wanted to take over, they were in their element of joy everytime you got hit, scratched or thrown ten feet. While you were feeling complete dread, making you sick to your stomach as you landed in dust, some made it in your mouth and lungs. You scrambled away from it and coughed forcefully, scarred and terrified at the ominous grey pile.

The two extreme moods made you feel dizzy, it had never been this bad. The feelings battling in your head could drive anyone mad. And in this turmoil it became severely obvious that it was giving Chara an incredible advantage.

Clutching your head you cursed at Chara.

Stop it you fuck!

Oh but it's just too perfect.
You'll be my new body
if you keep getting beat up like this!

They seemed to be ecstatic at the violence happening around you.

Sans kneeled next to you and hurriedly helped you to your feet by scooping up one side of you and help you stand while keeping a large sheild protecting both him and you. "You okay kid?" He asked quickly "Y-Yeah, I'm good." You nodded and stood up, grabbing your wooden weapon and leaving the broken one in the process. Scanning the battlefield you spotted Grillby and a few others burning the vines that shot out of the ground.

However a wayward vine managed to escape the flames and go back into the ground, only to wind up behind the party undetected.

You didn't second guess yourself as you dashed towards the group and launched yourself on top of the vine "Grillby!" You cried in warning and dug the nail deep into the thick plant many times over as you whacked the hell out of it.

The flaming monster turned in surprise as you finished it off, but not completely unscathed. Getting off of it before it fell to the ground you could see it had marred you in multiple places, only drawing blood in a few.

A feeling of fire lit up inside you before you quickly extinguished it by closing your eyes and focusing on your breath while holding your head.

You felt a hand lay on your shoulder gratefully. Looking up with a now more clear vision you could see a star-shaped monster standing before you with a small, thankful grin "Thanks."

A shy, unsure smile cracked on your face as you looked at her. "Yeah, no problem."

Grillby sent you an appreciative nod and the group dashed off to help other monsters kill another one of Floweys live weapons. Muffet was having a particularly hard time against the spiders, but she was still able to cut them down despite the tears in all her eyes.

Your heart was beating in your throat as you tried to catch you breath, but it incredibly hard since your mind kept racing to the scariest possible conclusions of how this was all going to end, making you more on edge than ever.

A sudden screech from behind you through you for a loop. You whipped your body around and attempted to get into a ready stance, however the spider was quicker and tripped you. You landed on your back with a thud, but you subconsciously rolled away from where you were, making the spiders attacks miss you by a hair.

The spider followed however.

Ending up on your back you looked at the spider and be able to see it's next attack, which you hardly could block with your little weapon. Using the placement of your legs (which laid under the spider) to your advantage you firmly pushed it off of you in a sudden burst of strength.

Never miss a leg day!

You internally groaned at your lame joke and got up to your feet, just in time for the mutated spider to gain it's bearings again.

It hissed at you and charged, it dug it's sharp legs into the soil and pushed off rapidly gaining speed.

With a roll of your head, you got into position and baseball swung at its small head, perfectly landing the long nail into a soft part of its exoskeleton, killing it instantly. But you didn't kill it's momentum and it ended up on top of you, pinning you down and catching the attention of few more spiders.

Undyne looked over her shoulder at you and saw your predicament. She looked back to other monsters who were struggling slightly and quickly went to their aid, even if they weren't in immediate danger like you, however she protected them like a fierce mother bear.
[Your relationship with Undyne is not good enough for her to put your life above her monster kin. In fact your relationship is kind of awful]

The spiders screeched down at you and landed a bunch of cold saliva on your face.

Fear peaked in your soul and you began to flailing terror. Chara suddenly became hurried to take over, however you kept them at bay while you tried to get yourself out of there, while swinging your slightly cracked weapon.

Uh, hey, don't mean to alarm you
But you are certainly going to die
If you don't give control to me.

Yeah, um fuck no. I'd rather die than
Let you use my body to hurt
These monsters.

Suddenly a spider stabbed rigjt through your forearm and pinned it down to the dirty ground. A scream pushed out of your throat as you tilted your head back and let sudden, scared tears slip past your eyelids, tempted to give in. But The thought of your monster friends; Papyrus, Whimsun, Toreil, Grillby, and especially Froggit. This was their home, and they deserved so much more than this.

The child in your head seemed to get more frantic.

You idiot! You're going to die!
You'll die if I'm not in control!!

Chara's tone made you scared but you continued to hold on, trying think of other reasons to keep this hell from being unleashed on the monsters.

The memory of Ike then popped into your mind with his friendly smile that could bright up any room, his good natured teasing, how much love he had for even the simplest things. You also remembered how he had been taken away in the unfair, unnecessarily cruel way. You were not going to turn into something that would spread that type of pain. So you pushed Chara back once again and stayed in control.

The spider tugged on your arm violently, making it pop out of place. Seemingly unsatisfied with its work, it wedged another leg inside your wound and slowly pulled them away from each other, splitting your arm open more and you felt it become more and more useless while tendons ripped out of place, veins burst everywhere and bones cracked and broke. The pain was unbelievably extrutiating as it forced screams out of you again, but you could feel yourself begin to lose your voice as your bone-chilling shriek blended into the commotion all around.

You won't last any longer!
You're pushing your luck Y/n!
If you give up now I won't hurt anyone!
I'll just go straight out of the Underground
To reunite with the human world!!

You didn't buy what this kid was selling and you forced yourself to grip the weapon clumsily with your other hand and whack the spider who stood above your head at an awkward angle. The shock was settling in so the pain subsided, but the three spiders crowded around you made you acutely aware of how slim your chances of getting out of this safely were.

Dear God Y/n!
You're gonna get us KILLED!!
Do you understand?! You will DIE!

The word us stuck in your head, it sort of gave you a sense of hope and confusion to a degree. The hope you had all of a sudden gotten seemed to scare Chara as they scrambled to get ahold of your body, and it almost worked.

Until in the corner of your eye you saw Sans fighting and dodging the seeds and vines while yelling out to you, attempting to make some ground towards you without getting hit. His voice sounded like he was terrified as he yelled out your name in desperation while fending off heaps of enemies coming at him from every which way.

This made you smile bitterly, despite the incredible pain that had a tight hold on you.

He seemed to be always there for you, even when he himself or your good friend Froggit was being a dick. He always seemed to have time for you, even if he was pissed or having a ptsd flashback. How tender he could be when he really wanted but he never let his sharp wit leave him, after all who else could make that many untasteful puns?

This made you laugh a bit in your mind until you started thinking about how he had said he loved you. A slight genuine smile appeared as you looked at Sans who was trying his best to get to you without getting hit by anything.

"Y/N!!" He called out in a panic while getting bombarded by attacks from everything around him. "Y/N STAY AWAKE! I'LL GET YOU OUTTA THERE!!"

A small thought in the back of your brain then bubbled up. If you could reset timelines or continue on when you die, why would Chara be afraid of dying?

You pondered for a bit as your blood pooled around your now mutilated arm, giving Chara more power over your mind, but also pulling you closer to death.

They took control of your good arm and swung it into the spiders head forcefully and precisely, making it stumble away then crumble, slowly dying.

Your posessed hand clawed at the dirt and pulled you out from underneath, painfully stretching your left leg, while the right metal one felt nothing.

You took back your arm by flinging it around roughly and putting it against your huge wound that you would be able to see through if it weren't bleeding so much.

Knowing if you could hold out for a bit longer and keep Chara from taking your body for their own, you'd save thousands of monster lives along with countless other human lives.

But the control was barely in your grasp

You looked around at all the monsters struggling against Floweys forces and right away you knew the monster army would not be able to keep up with the many enemies that kept pouring in.

You knew what you had to do, even if it you were wrong, you'd be able to save so many lives.

You turned and ran towards Sans, dodging flying weapons and rouge claws as your arms started to spaz. "Sans! You need to be ready to take my soul!"

He looked at you with wide eyes while blocking a screaming vine with two dry bones crossed over one another. His attention kept flicking between you and the vines.

You growled and attempted to use your arms to hit the vines with the breaking piece of wood you held, you missed a few times but finally got it to back off for long enough.

"It may be the only chance you have." You said, trying to keep your arms from shaking blood everywhere, the same blood that would make the whole war way harder to win.

Sans shook his head "No."

You frowned "Sans, this is probably the only chance, I'm dying anyway!" Your voice cracked as the lump in your throat grew, hardly believing the words you were saying as you increasingly became lightheaded.

"You aren't gonna leave me this time kid! Alphys can patch you up!" He seethed in fear and he gripped your shaking arms to your sides, looking you dead in the eyes. "We'll find another way." He said sternly, even though you both knew that was the best chance the monsters had.

With a final note of sass you rolled your eyes. "No we won't." You smiled weakly and pulled him into a close hug. He unsteadily returned it as well as he could obviously not quite understanding what you were doing. You pulled away and locked your gaze on his. "Be ready." And with that you pushed Sans off of you unexpectedly and ran towards Flowey, grabbing the chair leg and you yelled incredibly loud, making the flower attention turn to you. The TV turned from the human face to his, simply grinning in a smug manner down at you.

No! Flowey you idiot! DON'T!!

The possibility of saving the world fills you with...
DETERMINATION.

Save?
[yes*][no]
Saving...
Saving...
Saved.

A thick vine tethers towards you and hits you right in the heart, cutting off your scream and making everything go dark.
