"Did you see?"

"...The end is nigh..."

"Did you see it!?"

"...that black mist!"

"... took control of the flowers attack..."

"Well, fuck me sideways and call me Jerry."

"Ugh! Rude! Your such an idiot!"

"That H-Human! They had horns!"

"This is pun-belivable"

"SNOWDRAKE! NO!"

"...I'm kind of scared..."

"...the flower had it coming for him..."

"All that power in one person?"

"...Is it even human?"

"...It's going to k-kill us isn't it?"

"...That spear, those claws... those eyes..."

"...that power has been lost for years!"

"...How is that possible?"

"How is your mom possible."

"Shut up Jerry."

"Sans?" you said dully with your body slouching with your head in your hands as you sat on the lip of the waters edge, Sans seemed to have the same posture except his arms were crossed over his lap, Froggit laid down beside you both, letting his arm dangle in the water and draw little patterns in it.

A soft unexplained breeze ruffled through Sans' hood fur and swirled through your hair, you were now calm as you both just listened to the sound of the waving water. "Hm?" He hummed in response, even if he was in a daze from the tranquility of the area, in fact, it was so relaxed any soft of talking sounded loud and obnoxious.

"How come you were here? Y'know, when I was attacking Flowey." you asked, not bothering to look at him as you spoke. It still bothered you, and scared you a bit, the thought of being letting the fire take over and losing control, and turning into something like it was from an active imagination, or even a nightmare and having a strange overpowering thirst for blood.

Sans' low and calm voice spoke "I was actually about to see where you went when Froggit found me and told me what was going on." The little monster looked over at you from the water for a moment.

You sighed through your nose and nodded once "Gotcha."

A silence settled over the both of you and you began to think, you did want to find the human but, seeing Flowey again only rekindled your need to find him first. But you knew Froggit wanted to find the human for a similar purpose.

You sighed.

I'll get my chance.

Steadily, you got to your feet making the tiny black rocks under your feet roll and crunch. "Sans. Do you know where the other human might be?" you asked keeping your gaze out along calming blue aqua.

Froggit perked up as Sans laid on his back looking up at you with half closed eyes. "Why do you want to know?"

Before you could say anything the Froggit cut in "Because I need an audience with them, I have a few questions." his tone was hurried and desperate making Sans laugh lazily "Alright fine" he looked up at you. His smile was wide as always "They're in the Hotlands. Most likely with Alphys."

You looked across the water "That way?"

"Yup" Sans said and closed his eyes.

You picked up your pack with a tiny smile that was partly forced. "Well, Thank you for um.." you cleared your throat and Sans re-opened his eyes to look at you, they were filled with growing interest and his smile seemed to die down a little. "Well.. erm" you coughed with a fist in front of your mouth then it ran directly to your side, like you were standing at attention.

"Y'know..." you said hopefully. Sans shook his head slowly and you frowned, "Well, thank you for staying here with me and letting me bawl all over you." you could feel your face turn red from embarrassment. Sans smile widened again to happy and he closed his eyes again. "Don't mention it."

You smiled easily and gestured for Froggit to follow. Carefully, you put your foot on the large spiky vine that was still poking out of the water, you were able to get a foothold and marched on with Froggit. You stole a glance over at Sans, who was lying there quietly, a sigh escapes you and you turn away, a wee bit too quickly though because once you turned your foot slipped from underneath you due to the wet vine.

You gasped, but strangely enough did not fall. Discovering the blue aura around you, you look back at Sans who was laughing to himself with his hand extended out towards you "Do I have to keep an eye socket on you all the time?"

He walked up onto the vine as well and pulled you back over to the stable part by your backpack.

You shrugged "I guess so." a grin gradually grew along you face "Wait! Does this mean you're going to travel with me?"

Sans smile went lopsided as he looked at you, letting you out of the aura and back on your feet "I guess so." he said putting his hand back to the hoodie's pocket where it usually resides.

You clapped your hands together "does this mean we're friends?!" you interrogated him, your smile was wide and hopeful.

He shook his head "No." he shot down all of your hope in one single word, much like a needle to a balloon. Your smile deflated "Well, Okay..." you turned away and took a single step before spinning back around "But not for long!" sadly again you lost your balance.

Sans eyes widen as he grabbed your arm and yanked you back on but he lost his balance, you both looked like a see saw or something of that nature.

Finally you both steadied yourselves by holding on to each other with tight grips. "You done?" Sans asked, slightly annoyed. You frowned at him but nodded, only a few moments later you realized you were pushed up against each other like press board.

You just looked at each other awkwardly "Could we, maybe, just..." you asked sort of uncomfortable. Sans shrugged, not really seeming to care. but since you both were on the vine you had to turn to the side to be able to back away.

Both doing a strange and super awkward waddle ninety degrees while keeping yourself against him, making sure not to fall. Finally, you were able to let go. You took a step back. You looked at Sans who seemed to be not as fazed as you were, he was calm and collected, even if he was slouching.

This time you turned slowly and carefully away and made it to the other side followed closely by Froggit and Sans.

Making your way to the so called 'Hotlands' to see the human, mostly for Froggit benefit. You could tell he was getting a little anxious.

"Hey Froggit, you okay?" Sans looked down at the little monster who walked just a bit ahead of himself "Yeah, I'm fine!" he snapped making Sans raise his hands in defense "Hey I was just asking, because you looked a little jumpy."

Froggit glared at the skeleton angrily "go die in a hole you fuck wipe!" He growled out. You sighed exasperated by the two walking behind you "oh my god Froggit!" You said turning around to face them while walking backwards. "Are you always on your period?!"

Froggits face went red with anger, but your eyes drift to Sans who looked as if he won a million dollars and quite frankly, it was concerning. Just as the little monster was about to talk back to you Sans spoke up with an enormous smile "Yeah, Froggit! Why are you always... Ovary-acting!!"

Your jaw dropped as you tried to suppress a smile.

Froggit went ape shit and all the while Sans laughed at his own shitty, yet genius pun. You turned away. It was funny but Froggit getting mad about everything was becoming tiresome, even if the first few second were hilarious when he had no idea how to respond to such cleverness.

However, you could definitely tell this was going to feel like forever. So you pulled out your ukulele and played a few songs hoping to drown our the sound of the two guys bickering behind you, well, the bickering was mostly Froggit. But you get the point.

You kept playing tunes until finally Sans and Froggit shut up, you almost felt bad for Sans, always getting picked on or yelled at for his shitty puns, you however were a rare fan of them, and Froggit was too, but he always had crazy ass mood swings so he's basically a time bomb, but the count down on him was broken.

But you managed to calm him down with your little instrument as you all ventured out together in search of the other human

You hadn't realized the monsters that had seen it all unfold before their very eyes, and began to talk.
