The farther you went, the darker the lighting had become. You stumbled on every odd rock that crossed your path and constantly checked to see if ike's happy hat was still on your head.
Your little green companion decided a while ago that it would lose you in the dark so he sat in your pack, his little green head poking out the top with his mini hands clutched the fabric of the bag tightly and every couple seconds he turned to eye the space behind you both skeptically.
It put you on edge a bit what with all his fidgeting.
You hesitantly put your arms out to feel where you were going, but every time Froggit moved it made you snatch your hand back towards your body in fear. You finally found a wall to lean against and follow. It was cold, hard and somewhat moist.
The muggy air and void of sound was unsettling to say the least. But you were determined to find that despicable flower, and once you did you were going to tear it apart alive.
Watch his body get pulled apart right before his eyes, tear out his eyes and rip his pedals. Then finally leave him to die! The feel of him pleading for his end in a mangled heap before your feet, it made you smile, all your current wariness of the dark cave evaporated into nothingness.
You ran your fingertips along the wall and started to skip, but you had barely gotten a step forward before a bright and sudden spark light burst forth from where your fingernails had traced.
Surprised, you let out a quiet yelp and fell back onto the rocky earth below you. You had startled Froggit to the point he dug himself deeper into all your stuff.
You could feel him starting to shake "(Ribbit) What the hell Y/n?" his muffled voice was unpleasant. He poked his head out of the lip of the back pack and smacked the back of your head.
You flinched at the little hand coming intact with you, a shy grin formed apologetically (and slightly amused) "Sorry Froggit. I didn't mean to scare you." you said.
His sloped eyes turned to circles "S-Scare me?! You didn't scare me! You just almost killed if you landed on your back. I just tried my best not to get killed!"
Your brows knit together in a knowing frown "So then, why did you cower in the thing that was attached to my back?"
He fell silent for a moment till he raised his voice defensively "... I wasn't scared!!"
You rolled your eyes, a smug smile appeared and you stood up to inspect the wall.
Running both of your hands on the wall you felt every ridge and scar, but the most prominent were four, (still warm) creases and all around them the wall was no longer moist
You frowned as you recalled your mad thoughts just as it happened. Was that even you? It couldn't be.
You sighed, shaking. Just thinking about it made you feel queasy, almost sick. How could get joy from that thought?
It was a strange predicament, luckily before you had to think too hard about it a faint sound of water cut through the sickening silence.
Your head perked up, as did Froggit's "I-Is that?"
"I sure hope so!" you exclaimed, as you ran towards it, hoping to get out of the dark, and soon.
Soon the darkness turned into a faint light blue hue, clouding the surroundings.
The water shone and the reflection of the wavy surface danced along the roof of the cave, strongly resembling the Aurora Borealis upon the surface, the sparkling gems that hid behind the blue lights had a quiet beauty to them like the stars.
You stepped closer with an impatient Froggit, bounding up and down in your bag, anxious for a drink of the beautiful water.
All along the bright rushing water was lined with dimly glowing flowers of blue, they were pretty tall for flowers, like a sunflower. But this flower was far too nightly for a sunflower. You sat down beside it at the water, Froggit jumped out and dipped his head under the crisp liquid, you could hear him slurping and snorting much like a horse would.
"I think I'll call it a moonflower." you stated with a soft expression, gently feeling the petals.
"I think I'll call it a moonflower."
You jumped back looking at the flower as if it were the devil himself. It kept repeating what you had said "I think I'll call it a moonflower." "I think I'll call it a moonflower."
Froggits head popped back out of the water. He heard what the flower was saying and looked to you, who seemed surprised and a bit scared.
He rolled his eyes "That's an echo flower." his head dipped lower to the water again but his lips stopped just above it "You think we hadn't named it already?" he huffed in amusement, as if dealing with an idiotic child "Moonflower." he said to himself and started to drink again. The flower started to just repeat moonflower, as if taunting you.
You sat in silence listening to the soothing sound of water and the repetitive flower. It was getting a bit annoying but you managed to ignore it.
The feeling of sleepiness flooded over you as you lay beside the flower with your bag pillowing your head, you whispered to the flower a soft hush sound helping you drift off.
Save?
[*save] [cancel]
Saving...
Saving...
Saved!
Froggit saw you had fallen asleep. He sighed and looked around, noting that there was not much to do there so with a carefully laid out conclusion he laid down across from you, keeping a safe distance and he as well drifted off, but only in boredom.

Your eyes slowly opened then blinked a few times. You eyed the dark ground under you, you looked up and saw the underneath the echoflowers. With a hesitant yawn and a large stretch you sat up and poked Froggit lightly "g'morning!" He frowned and smacked your hand, closing his eyes once more.
The blue flower started to repeat your greeting to the Froggit. Froggit groaned and hit his face in his hands, you could ignore the flower easily.
But the flower you could never ignore sat just across the river with a conniving smile plastered on his face.
When you spotted him anger boiled inside you and you stood, instantly setting your guard up. "You!" you yelled. Froggit jumped at the sudden change of tone from you as he craned his head up at you, suspiciously following your gaze to the little yellow flower with a happy smile.
"Howdy stranger!" he giggled wriggling his leaves around playfully. Your expression darkened "You know damn well who I am!" your words dripped with a venom that was unfamiliar to you.
He stopped his wriggles and put a green leaf under his chin. "Hmmm... let me see..." he pondered a moment then let out a gasp "Oh! I just had it! Shucks I can't seem to place you!" his giggle was vile to your ears.
"You killed my best friend." you growled. The flower smiled softly "Aww, we'll isn't that just too bad, I only wish I could remember them." he burst into cynical laughter, holding the middle part of his stem as if it were a stomach.
By now hot, unmistakable tears slipped out of your raging e/c eyes.
Flowey noticed this, making him laugh more and he went on. "Oh wait! I remember who that was! He was the one who cried! He cried, and cried! You know what he did just before you got down? He begged me to kill him!" You yelled at the monster as more tears fell "Stop it!"
But he ignored you "He begged for his ultimate demise, but I did not kill him, because I wanted you to have a chance to save him. But what do you do? Why, you merely gave up trying to keep him alive, and instead played a little tune to send him off."
"I said STOP IT!" you screamed at the villainous flower, he only smiled, egging you on "you moved on very nicely from that didn't you! Look!" His gaze dropped down to the froggit "You've already found a replacement! Good for you!" he clapped his leaves together in glee.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" you screamed at the top of your lungs, feeling the strain build on your vocal chords. You cried and fell to your knees, burying your tear stained face to your cold, shakey hands.
It was quiet for a bit. It seemed like Flowey was anxiously waiting for something to happen.
Your tears kept pouring out, but your crying suddenly felt absolutely idiotic to do. It was sort of amusing, in a way... for some reason. Instead of crying, it turned to giggles and soft hiccups. Then to full out laughter of a maniac.
"There you are Y/n!" Flowey's God awful voice spoke once again."
Froggit looked up at you in fear, your facial features had become twisted in a way he had never seen you before. Heinous. Your pupils turned to slits, your nails grew into long, sharp, demon-like claws. You had a wicked smile smack itself on your face that was made up of now sharpened teeth.
You grinned at Flowey madly "Let's dance!"
Vengeance hangs heavy in the air
[Fight] [Act] [Item] [Mercy]
Froggit slunk back, terrific of what was happening.
[*Fight] [Act] [Item] [Mercy]
Without warning you threw your arm out like some sort of tether towards him. Flowy blocks the advance with his spiky vines, they wrap themselves around your arm. You barely gasp as it pulls you forward, landing underwater.
You tried to swim back up, but the vines pushed you back down and wrapped around your body tightly, like a straight jacket.
The air supply you had stared to dwindle as your lungs began to ache for air. You struggled around losing quite a bit of air as it bubbled up to the surface. Thrashing your legs and bound body around like a fish would if it was out of water.
You maneuvered your hands around and slit through the green like scissors to paper.
You popped your head out of the water only to see more vines rushing towards you at an incredible speed. You slashed your claws side to side, cutting them away with ease.
But you could not do this forever and the vines were multiplying in numbers.
It was becoming a challenge.
In one swift motion you leaped to the side, but the water slowed your movements so your foot got caught in the vines line of fire. You let out a yell of fury as the pain of one of the thorns stuck itself in your foot. You stabbed your claws at the overgrown plants and flipped yourself out hurriedly.
You started to claw your way up the spiky vines, dodging the many seeds being shot at you in high speed. You flung your body from side to side, even jumping flinging yourself farther up and spinning 'round, A couple grazed your body as you practicality ran up the greenery.
Flowey frowned in frustration, since the most he could get on you was a couple scratches. So he made the vine your were climbing on crumble.
You lost your grip and slipped back, plummeting toward the water. With one more trying effort you threw your arm towards the crystal filled roof.
Success!
You dug your claws deep into the rock, bringing you to a sudden stop, as the green all fell past you, and crashed to the water.
You looked down at the flower who sat there with an unhappy look on his little face. He growled, but noticed the uncomfortable position you were hanging in. An evil grin slid it's way on as roots and vines shot up from around him straight towards you.
You swung out of the way of the first one but as you fell back into place another one came up and got you right in the back, it pushed you up against the rocky ceiling.
Flowey laughed menacingly as he pushed you harder against the rock. Your ribs felt as though they were all about to snap.
You screamed out in agony as your claws dug into the rock. Your feet kicked around helplessly, the white seeds once again appeared and floated around you.
"DIE!" Floweys shrill voice screeched and the pellets sped towards you.
You growled lowly "No." you said firmly, the pellets hit you, each time you grunted softly, but you did not feel any pain. They turned from white to black with a light F/c glow around them. You pushed yourself away from the ceiling with unknown strength against the roots.
Flowey pushed again and you fell back against the hard, sharp rocks.
But you were determined.
You put aside all the pain and let the flame inside you burn brighter it took over you consciousness.
A malicious smile cracked along your face, your eyes turned dark with a little red dots inside. You pushed away from the roots again and rolled away, falling through the air. Your eyes stayed on the flower you had grown to hate as you fell, welcoming the madness into your body.
Why wouldn't you? It made you stronger.
White curling horns started to grow out of your head and a long steel spear apparated in your hand.
Black mist enveloped and trailed behind you, it shimmered in the blueness of the area elegantly but at the same time hauntingly.
Flowey and you had matching wild grins, just as you were close enough to strike a gravely voice with as if right next to your ear "I wouldn't do that kid."
You scanned your surroundings quickly to lock eyes with the chill skelly himself. You frowned confused and your attack was thrown off. Everything you had from the fire burning inside; the mist, the horns, the spear, the dark eyes, the sharp nails and teeth, the swiftness, the tethering arms. It all disappeared.
And so did Flowey.
You were caught by a blue aura just above the ground. A sigh of relief came out from you but shortly after you were dropped to the ground
"Oof." you muttered, landing on your belly.
Sans shook his head in pity and shoved his hand back in his pocket "You really shouldn't mess with shit like that. The path you're taking is definitely a slippery slope" he said grimly with Froggit sitting next to his feet.
You ignored what he just said and yelled back "How could you do that!? I had that flower right where I wanted him!"
He shrugged and said over the water "You'd kill him. Then what?"
"It doesn't matter! What does, is that I avenge Ike!" you stood up brushing yourself off, your hair was damp and your face an clothing was torn and scratched up, you could feel a broken rib in your body and shuddered in pain.
Sans looked at you confused and somewhat suspicious "Who's Ike?" he asked eyeing you.
A mini heart attack starts up when you don't feel Ikes hat on your head. You look around frantically for a moment till you see it floating in the water, you smile gently and hop in the water trudging over to it and plopping it on your head. It was wet and lukewarm.
Finally answering Sans question you look at him with a soft smile "The greatest guy on the planet!" Sans rolled his eyes.
You trudged over to him through the water "Well... he was the greatest guy on the planet." you said with a tinge of sadness. You pulled yourself onto the edge of the water pool, with your feet still hanging in it.
You stopped moving to get out and stared at the water, it was a similar blue to Ikes eyes, just a bit warmer in tone. You pulled his hat off your head and stared at it with a frown.
Sans noticed your lack of movement, you were just sitting there solemnly.
You felt a gentle presence next to you as a cold, hesitant hand reached around and touched the other side of your head, pulling your head gently on a soft, blue sweater covered shoulder.
You were still as the hand stroked your hair as kindly as possible. You knew it was Sans. Shyly you gazed up at him, he seemed uncomfortable because he was looking away from you. You most likely would have pushed away from him if it made him feel awkward, but his hand told you otherwise.
You looked back out on the water while clutching the toque tightly in your hands, you felt tears about to spill while you stared out, remembering Ike.
You didn't want Sans to see you cry but admittedly did not want leave his comfort.
Quickly wrapping your arms around him, you buried your face into his jacket that still smelled of ketchup. You shook violently and sobbed.
Sans stared at the sudden arms around him, he looked down to see you cuddling into him tightly. Sans eyes widened, he was stunned for a moment. He had barely ever seen you like this, and it hurt him how upset you were.
He slowly put his arms around you as well. It took him a moment but then he really hugged you tightly "It's okay, you'll be okay." he said as soothing as his rough voice could be and let his cold boney hands comb through your damp h/c hair.
"You'll be okay."
