Ranking my rp's from worst to best
So this is just me ranking my mostly-original rp books from worst to best in my opinion.
I guess anyone who's looking to join one of my rp's can look at this list and kind of pick one to start with. This list will not include either of my Pokémon rp's or my yugioh rp.
17) magic academy: tragedies of the past: honestly this whole rp is kind of a mess which is why it's getting a re-release soon so that I can clean some things up, there are too many things wrong with it for me to put here but I may make a chapter on that later. The magic academy rp books have always been all over the place so some of them are at the bottom, some are in the middle, and some are at the top
16) magic academy: apartment life: the apartment au of magic academy isn't necessarily bad, it's just that a lot of what makes magic academy interesting is the magic part of it, especially since a lot of the characters don't really stand on their own without magic.
15) clockwork dragon: my apocalyptic monster hunter rp, it's not a bad idea but I don't think I did enough with it for any story that I could try to tell to be any good. I may re-release this one day but I just don't think there's really a market for it.
14) the complex: my other apartment rp, there is nothing wrong with the complex and I'd actually say everything above this ranges from being decent to great. The problem with the complex is that there isn't a whole lot I can do with it outside of the generic romance but I didn't want to make anything super complicated because it was supposed to be a group rp.
13) Tokyo's finest: I don't think Tokyo's finest is bad I just don't think it's that great either. It Falls into the pit that complex does in that there's not a lot you can do with it outside of the generic stuff that you would think off so it's hard to pull off any kind of drama.
12) magic academy take-2 re-release rp: magic academy take 2 falls this low on the lost not because it's bad but because it doesn't stand up to the magic academy rp that came before it and that's why it's so low on this list.
11) magic academy: the fourth moon: out of every magic academy rp this one makes the least sense as part of the universe, I don't think this rp will brings anything to the table in terms of world building but it does serve as a nice way to have characters interact with each other in new ways I guess.
10) individual yaoi rp: I don't think I'm that great at romance but I can still do it and I actually like a lot of the characters that I've made so far for this rp, I think it might be a little held back by the fact that it's doesn't allow smut however.
9) magic academy: project Aegis: I think this rp tells a good story but it is a slow story that doesn't have a lot of action so I can see people not wanting to participate in this one, like the other inbetweener rp's I think this one relies on having participated in one of the other magic academy rp's to really understand what's going on and I think this one is a lot more heavy on that need.
8) magic academy: glass fake: again I think it tells a good story and I actually think that this story is better that project Argis due to it having some action on it but it does rely on other rp's that are better than it so that's a problem
7) a musical rp that just so happens to take place in a high school: the titles is a little miss leading but I still think it's a good rp, I've always enjoyed the amount of drama I can get away with in a high school setting and I think I have more diverse cast of characters in this rp in terms of personality. I think that it being about a musical and it being just a basic high school rp though hold it back from being truly great even if personally I think it should be higher up
6) seventh heaven: my dark magical girl rp, I don't think it's as original as I would have liked and it's never going to be as good as shows like Madoka magica but I'm still proud of it because I think the characters and the story are good for what they are.
5) a world not so different from our own: a mixture of real world drama and fantasy combat that is a lot different from the way that the magic academy series tries to capture that same effect. I like this rp because I am an MMO lover and I think it manages to be somewhat unique in the pool of MMO rp's that currently exists
4) Warring Kingdoms: I put a lot of work into developing this rp and I am really proud of the world I was able to create, it's not perfect and I don't think it's going to attract a lot of interest but I think for those who do participate they'll have a good time
3) magic academy next gen: coming in at number 3 in the magic academy next gen. I love magic academy next gen more than the original because I think the characters are better and the story is less confusing but it doesn't have to same feel as the original and that is what I wish I could fix about it but I just can't find out how.
2) magic academy: the original magic academy rp comes in at second but it's doesn't lose by much. I think if I were to re-release it there would defiantly be some things I would change and characters I would cut it in the end the rp is one of the more memorable ones I've had the pleasure of making and I think I did a pretty good job with it.
1) leylines: leylines has always been my favorite rp despite the fact that it has never garnered any attention. It combines the moral grey components of magic academy that I love so much with the improved characterization of my newer rp's. Leylines also has probably my favorite "world" because I feel like it's a more realistic take on the magic vs. reality aspect of magic academy.
