Where do I begin? Just to start off, Drones are MY creation. It took a few inspiration from a few things though. But don't copy. Seriously, don't steal.

Drones are insect-like creatures. Their wings beat fast, allowing them to hover in one area. Adults are tall enough to reach an full grown human's chest.

Their diet consists of flowers, fruit, nectar, or any kind of vegetation. Drones gather nectar by keeping the nectar on their wings.

There is a small difference between males and females. Males' frills are more sharp while females' frills are more curved.

Aside from this, no 2 Drones are the same. They can be found in any color from red to blue to violet. They may also have white or black markings.

There are 3 colors in a Drone. First is there main body. This is the body, head, antennae, tail, and frill markings.

The second is the frills, horns, and wing case. The third is the eyes and wings. The wings also appear to be glittery or have a few dewdrops on them.

A typical Drone's body is the same for each individual. They have a long body with their wings inside a hard shell when not in use.

Drones have a long prehensile tail that they use for climbing along with medium sized claws.

They have 2 short antennae on their head which act as sensors. Though, it is mainly used for looking for food.

Drones also have 2 horns on their head. This is not used for anything and is used just for mating displays.

A Drone has a frill that it can put down or up depending on its emotions. For example, if a Drone is worried, it may open its frill to try and scare enemies.

A Drone's life cycle is pretty complicated though. It takes 10 years for a Drone to have a complete adult body.

The egg hatches after 11 months. After that, the larva stage takes places for 0 to 1 year.

The larva is wrapped up in its leathery egg case. It acts like a catterpillar when it moves. Only its head, eyes, and antennae are properly developed.

After the 1 year, the Drone will be in the nymph stage until it is 5 years old. Here, it gets rid of the egg case and has its body already.

It still has no horn, frill, and wings. Its tail is also short. This means that it still relies on its parents.

Then, there comes the juvenile stage. This lasts for until the Drone is 10 years old. At this point, the Drone is nearly complete in body parts.

It only lacks wings. But it can already climb trees and walk. At this stage, Drone juveniles already think like a human 12 year old.

When the Drone reaches 10 years old, it gets its wings. The Drone however is not an adult yet and still prefers to live with its parents.

A Drone is an adult at 20 years. Here, it can leave its parents and live among the other Drones in the hive.

4 stages (larva, nymph, juvenile, pre-adult) are separated by a day long cocoon period.

This means that after a Drone's 1st, 5th, and 10th birthday, it will go inside a cocoon. They emerge looking like there form in the following stage.

Drones have a long life cycle because they have no natural threats. On Drone Island, there are very tall and thick trees. Holes in these trees serve as their homes.

I tried.

Drone houses are hexagon shaped holes in trees. Inside is a single light source but is enough light for the Drone/s living there.

Other homes are dangling from braches. These houses are made of gold thread made of flower petals. It is strong enough to hold a Drone family.

Aside from their homes, Drones have no natural predators. They can freely fly in their homeland with no fear of being attacked.

This however, made them a bit lazy and uneducated. Drones only care about their families, sustaining themselves, and the rest of the hive.

They never fear about safety unless its about teaching kids to climb trees or eating the wrong berries.

Drones never really bothered to study whats beyond their island. They have no knowledge about Inamorta. They believed that they should just stay on their island.

However, they can leave if they want. But they are warned by the hive of the 'dangers' beyond Drone Island.

So now you're probably wondering about history. Drones are descendants of the first Chomplers.

A long time ago, V sent some Chomplers to mine gold near the beach. But many were swept away so V decided it was not a good idea.

The ones swept away ended up in a different and unknown island. Here, the Chomplers learned to climb trees and eat nectar and fruits.

Because of their diet and new behaviour, the Chomplers changed. The nectar changed their brown color to more vibrant ones.

Since they needed to climb trees, Chomplers became lighter. They also developed long tails and sharper claws.

Soon, they grew wings. It allowed them to more easily access higher fruit and flowers. The horns and frill developed over time probably for mating displays.

If I say the rest of the history here, there won't be too much 'mystery' in the story. So I think this is enough to know.
