Astrid tore off her helmet, her blonde hair swished around like in the movies. The drift finished curling away. She had two lines and a grey dot on her cheek, he hair went grey like how a strand of Percy and Annabeth's did after holding the sky. The strain caused it. She still had mostly blonde hair though.

Nico looked a little frazzled. It was his first quad ride and Astrid went as fast as possible and hit a few jumps.

She ran inside. Hunter was finishing a bar of ambrosia.

"Chocolate." He said smiling. Astrid felt sad about that. She didn't taste anything when she ate ambrosia. She had never had a good enough memory. Hunter saw her and froze. "Why didn't you tell me?"

A simple question.

One that should never had needed to be asked in the beginning. If only she told him.

Regret churned her innards.

"I couldn't." She didn't meet his gaze. But she could feel it burning her skin. A cold tingle went up her back. Two kinds of death were judging her.

"Why."

"I had to run it through with Natasha and Andrea. They didn't trust you like I do. They said there was something off about you. I know what they are feeling. It hast to do with your dad. He warned me not to keep my identity secret. Now I face the punishment." Astrid said.

"You know my dad?" Hunter wavered.

"Yes." Astrid said. Her nose burned.

"And you didn't tell me?" His voice sounded hurt.

"Being the daughter of Lupa i can smell demigods and their parents. The gods forbid me to tell anyone their parent unless they knew already. The parent needs to claim the child themselves. " Astrid explained.

"What ever we had is done." Hunter said.

"I know." Astrid turned and left before the tears came.

Astrid swung the sword. She put on her mask of no emotion. Sage, Kaylie, Emma, and May sat down on the edge.

"Bad breakup?" May asked. May was friendly. She was a little sunshine in Astrid's life.

"And it's all because of my idiotic problems!" Astrid swung the kiopesh hard at the dummies head. It fell off and rolled across the ground. Fez twitched in his sleep.

"Want me to beat him up for you?" Sage asked.

"No. Don't beat him up. It's my fault. I deserve it." Astrid growled.

"At least you're taking it out on an abiotic subject." Sage pointed out. Astrid let her burning arm fall to her side. Sweat trickled down the side of her face. She walked over and sat down. "And maybe have a shower. Cause you smell, dude." Sage waved her hand in front of her nose and laughed. They all laughed.

"Yah. Who needs boys. We still have Starbucks and Disney movies." May laughed. They all laughed harder.

"My stomach muscles hurt!" Sage laughed. They all sat there. No matter what happened Astrid would always have them as best friends.
