Chapter Sixteen
Astrid waited the week in the infirmary for the next week. Mostly because every time she left she would split her wound open.
So after the third time doing it she stayed put in the infirmary.
And she would carefully go to lessons that didn't involve any exercise.
She was sitting in the library as a teacher tried to explain the history of the Greek/Roman gods. She was failing horribly. Finally frustrated Astrid got up. Natasha and Andrea sighed in relief.
"Okay. Let me save this lesson." Astrid took the white board marker. And erased some names and started to replace them. Then started the lesson again. Sadie sat in the back starting intently.
No earbuds needed.
After the lesson Astrid went to leave.
"Hey."
It was Sadie. Astrid tensed up and turned.
"Good job. Only Greek demigods know that much about those gods. We never get it right." Astrid could hear the question behind the words.
"A hobby of mine." Astrid said. Sadie nodded and looked over her shoulder. Astrid could smell Walt and Carter. Sadie raised her eyebrows. Astrid turned to look at the two boys. They slowly shook their heads. Astrid smirked and rolled her eyes. She could feel them poking at the drift around her, trying to see who she was.
They weren't succeeding. She marched away.

Sadie's POV
"Anything?" She asked. They were watching the colourfully haired girl pick up kiopeshes and swing them a little.
"Nope. But she knows we're onto them. So does the other two." Walt said. The girl-who called herself Sam- dropped the sword on her bare feet drawing blood. She swore and cursed in a mix of English, French, Greek, Egyptian, and Latin. Anubis flickered into view for a second then disappeared. Walt grinned. Sadie smiled.
"She just revealed all three of them." He laughed. They quickly walked away leaving Astrid-they were guessing- to deal with her bleeding foot. A simple slip of the drift, can tell you many things.
---------
Andrea's POV
Andrea sorted through old pieces of papyrus. She found an old one that almost crumbled at the slightest touch. Interested she started reading the faded hyrogliphics.
A final curse to end it all
To survive it you rip a hole in the Doors of Death
Only temporarily will four souls escape
Three winged females and a son of death
End the souls, send them back to afterlife
Or Midgard will fall at the hands of four rulers who hold grudges
Andrea chocked on her own saliva. She quickly took a picture of the papyrus then wrote down the translation on loose leaf. She carefully put the prophecy in a container and put it away hidden. She picked up her things and put them away and ran out to find Natasha and Andrea. They were in the infirmary, Jaz was cleaning up Astrid's foot.
"What did you do now?" She asked slowing down a little.
"I accidentally stabbed myself in the foot with a badly balanced sword." Astrid said. She got up when Jaz told her to get out. They walked down the hallway.
"You have no idea what I found. And it's worst than the Setne problem. And Astrid almost died. Now we run the risk of Midgard falling."
