Recognition flashed through the eyes of Park Seolhee as Hyunji took her older sister's hand, pulling her towards the garage, where she knew a certain someone would be.
"Hyun," She mumbled. "Why are we here?"
"I want you to meet som- "
"I can't meet him again," The older woman shook her head, frantically, slipping her hand out of the medical student's. "No, no, that - I can't do that... it's been so long,"
The younger Park placed her hands gently on the older's shoulders, smiling softly as though to reassure her. "I know you want to see him, and I know it's going to bring back maybe some painful memories, but moving on means that we need to face the storms that were once there,"
The golden girl faltered for a minute, her eyes drifting past the figure of her sister and towards the workshop where a few boys were laughing, chatting, happily doing their work. In the middle of them all was a particular blond-haired boy, a brilliant grin upon his face as he stared at the boys he loved with his whole heart.
"Okay," She whispered, gripping Hyunji's hand tightly. "Let's go,"
Hyunji squeezed Seolhee's hand as the two made their way towards the space, earning surprised looks from the boys.
"Hey Hyunji, Jisung said that you were coming today," Changbin beamed. "And whose this lovely lady besides you?"
The lovely lady in question bowed politely. "I'm Park Seolhee, Hyunji's older sister,"
The boys introduced themselves, and began making conversation easily, as though they had known her all their lives, but she couldn't take her eyes off the one she was desperate to exchange a few words with.
...
Bang Chan could not take his eyes off of the woman who had accompanied Hyunji to the tracks. His hands gripped the spanner in his hand, adrenalin, fear and joy surging through his veins.
"Park Seolhee," He uttered. "I never thought I would see her again,"
"Well, she's back now," The oldest of the boys turned towards Jisung who leaned against the table, his arms crossed, eyes flicking towards his girlfriend. "Aren't you going to say hello?"
Chan shook his head, but his eyes said anything but. God, he wanted to talk to her, wanted to hold her hand, hug her, even kiss her at the fact that she was once again back where everything had started, but he knew that was impossible. The girl was married, and he wouldn't lay a single hand on her.
"If you're afraid because of the fact that she's married," The blue-haired racer had practically read his mind. "Then don't. Hyunji said that she had divorced quite some while ago. Her ex husband apparently abused her,"
Anger shot through the blond's mind and veins. How dare that bastard lay his filthy fingers upon Seolhee. Seolhee who could do no wrong in his eyes.
"Talk to her," Jisung urged as he made a move towards his girlfriend. "Before it's too late,"
...
"I still can't quite belive that they dated," Jisung murmered, his hands upon his girlfriend's waist as they peered behind a corner, watching the eldest two of the group talk with one another.
"I know," Hyunji agreed. "It's a small world,"
"D'you think that they'll date again?"
"Perhaps, I know Seolhee was never quite over Chan. But I also think that she wants to be able to do what she wants to do. Without restrictions, or orders to follow. It's up to her,"
Both exchanged huge grins when they spotted Seolhee and Chan embrace each other, but they were oblivious to the lingering tension, the desire both had to do more.
But they would do things slowly, take time with their relationship. Seolhee needed to heal from the wounds that still affected her, and Chan would be with her every step of the way.
"I love you," Hyunji murmered, her eyes focusing upon the racer, who beamed, her lips pressed a light kiss to his nose. "I'm so glad that Miso dragged me to the race that day,"
"I love you more," Jisung returned, pressing a kiss to her pretty pink lips.
The butterfly had found her home.
