the old Willow tree fell down today
the dryad fell down with it
now her songs have gone away
and if you stop and listen

the forest cries it's silent tears
their Willow song now dead
the song that sung for so many years
has been taken by Death instead.

the forest wished they could've taken her place
as the tree rest on the grassy pillow
the birds could not match the beauty and grace
of what used to be their Willow.

as you walk in the Forest
listen closely
though most come to ignore it
listen to the Willow's song.
