Branch is in his bedroom at the orphanage. The room is a little smaller than usual for humans. That's why Branch is Guy's roommate. The room is kind of sad in a way. The old white paint is pealing while the light from the only window and light blub are faint. The side of room belonging to Branch's roommate has a bed on the other side is saggy, some random colourful belongings scattered around and picture frames.

Branch's side of the room is actually on top of the dresser. His bed is an old really small pillow with a thin troll blanket. All of Branch's private belongs have their own places, some drawings on the wall, there is only a couple picture frames and his most private and personal belongings are hidden away in a box. Branch's side of the room is more dull when compared to Guy's side.

Branch is just doing his homework when his old donimated smartphone starts to ring. The grey troll is sitting on his makeshift bed with one of his books on his lap. He picks it up to see who is calling him but, doesn't recognize the number. The orphan raises an eyebrow skeptical at first but, then answers the call.

" Hey Branch! Guess who?", Poppy's voice says playfully.

" Poppy? I don't remember giving you my number. How did you get it?", Branch says completely surprised.

" No big deal. I asked the Principle's assistant before I left school. I told her that lose it and she handed it to me. So are you okay?", Poppy says honestly on the phone.

Branch blinks as his surprise stays on his face for a few more seconds. Did she really just got his number so she could call to check on him? The grey troll knew that Poppy could easily get what she wants with her allowance or without it probably most of the time but, he never thought she would want his number. She is really using her luck.

" Yeah. I'm fine... Why?",Branch says honestly.

" You had bruises on you and didn't want talk about it with me at school so I thought I'll call. So what happened to ya? I won't tell anyone if you tell me. We are friends,right? ", Poppy says causally.

" Sort of I guess... I fell. Don't worry about it. It happens. ", Branch replies honestly.

Branch was exactly sure if he and her are friends in terms of what Poppy thinks. She is growing on him a lot more actually but, he isn't going to tell her that. He also thought she didn't need to know that he and Hiccup were pushed by Snotlout. She doesn't even know who is Hiccup but, that isn't her fault. Branch still doesn't feel like he could just tell her anything and everything. She probably wouldn't understand what he goes with through with all the bullying.

" You sure about that? ", Poppy replies still concerned.

" Poppy, I'm fine. Your going to keep my number. Aren't you?", Branch says honestly.

" Yup! You better save mine so you'll know it's me when I call again. ", Poppy replies playfully.

The grey troll just rolls his eyes at her with small smile on his face. He is actually glad to hear her voice. Poppy continues to talk on the phone to him happily as Guy walks into their bedroom. He was at Eep's house and her dad made him leave right after they finished their homework. The happy teen puts his backpack onto his bed as he notices that Branch is talking to someone.

" Don't you have homework to do?", Branch asks Poppy playfully.

" Oh... Forgot about that. I'll call back later. ", Poppy replies honestly.

" Knowing you. You probably will soon. Bye Poppy. ", Branch replies subtly playfully.

Then he ends the call and saves her phone number hsppily. He puts his phone down after he made sure Poppy's phone number was saved. The troll finally notices his roommate. Guy is sitting on his bed as he takes some of his things out. Branch thought he would be back later but, he has a feeling he knows why Guy is back. Eep's father doesn't trust him or like him in general but, the rest of Eep's family does.

" Eep's dad kicked you out? Again?", Branch asks knowingly.

" Yeah but, I'm still going back over tomorrow. Who were you talking to?", Guy says honestly and happily.

" Poppy and No. She's not my girlfriend now. ", Branch says honestly.

" Then why do you look so happy talking to her? Keep every single invitation she gave you? Have that picture of you and her which she gave you?", Guy smirks.

Branch froze as his book fell off his lap. Guy might as well nail his coffin shut because, he wants to die right now. The human immediately bursts into laughter over Branch's reaction almost falling onto the floor! Guy is one the few people who knows one of Branch's biggest secrets. Branch is secretly in love with Poppy but, it isn't like a first love kind of thing. It's more deeper than that since Branch fell for her hard over time and she isn't his first crush actually but, he is scared to even admit it to her!

" Shut it!", Branch yells as he throws a box at Guy.

The tiny empty box hits Guy's forehead but, it doesn't hurt at all. Branch glares at his roommate as he starts to calm down still laughing. Guy likes to mess with his friends from time to time. He couldn't help himself. Branch can be so easy to tease sometimes. The human picks up the box that Branch threw which landed on at his feet as he starts talking again.

" Relax. I was just messing with ya,dude. ", Guy says amused and happily.

Branch just shakes his head at Guy with an unamused expression on his face. Guy goes over to him to put the box back where it was as Branch picks up his school book. The human has an innocent and friendly smile on his face. Then Guy accidentally knocks over the other box that actually has something in it. Poppy's invitations fall out as Guy looks at his mess with a look that shows he sincerely didn't mean to do it.

" Oops. Sorry. ",Guy apologizes.

Branch just rolls eyes then tells him that it's fine. He knew that Guy would never do it on purpose. The human nods his head then walks back to his bed. The troll gets onto his knees near his bed and pulls the box back on it's bottom but, he notices something was in there that wasn't suppose to be in there. It was an old small stuffed blue crocodile. Croco...

" You know. You should talk to Poppy more and tell her that you like her. I did with Eep and now we are together. ", Guy says honestly.

The frizzy hair boy grabs his bag and puts it next to his bed. Branch picks up every invitation gently and puts them in their special box one by one. The box had " DO NOT OPEN!" written on it. Branch had tool Croco out and put him on his bed where nobody could see it. He is going to hide the invitations somewhere else too. He doesn't want anyone going through his stuff!

" Poppy only wants to be my friend. I doubt she would like me in that way. I wasn't the nicest person to her before... ", Branch says doubting Guy's advice.
