So as I was re-watching the episode "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", I was sitting back and thinking, "Astrid's really diggin' those earrings, isn't she?"

And it got me thinking about something I had never considered before:

If Snotlout was noticing Astrid's interest in those earrings, then what about Hiccup? You can't tell me that Astrid wasn't daydreaming about owning those things! 😂 I can see Hiccup noticing that and discreetly conversing with Johann when she's not around and makes a deal with Johann, purchasing the earrings from him and keeping them in his personal chest in his bedroom until years later when they get married.

And when they're married and have their wedding night, Hiccup gives her the earrings — much to her surprise and joy.

Anyway, that's my headcanon. What do you think? Do you agree and support this, or do you have a different headcanon? I'd LOVE to hear it! 😄
