~Sleepless Nights (Dreamnapfound)~
Staying up most of the night was something the three would often do. They would stay up fighting mobs or fighting each other, whichever they felt in the mood for. But tonight was different. It was the middle of the night and Dream and George had already gone to sleep, but Sapnap just couldn't. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how long he would close his eyes, he couldn't fall asleep. In the end Sapnap decided he would just stay up all night.
He got out of his bed and quietly went to open the front door, not wanting to wake up Dream and George. Once he got outside he closed the door behind him slowly and he stood to the side of it, looking out to the land in front of him, just admiring the view. He sighed as he sat down on the front steps. He hated how he had so much more trouble sleeping than Dream and George. He felt like he was always bothering them when he couldn't sleep and they would come into his room and help him. He felt bad for always keeping them up so long. They always look so tired and he felt like it was his fault. He tried not to keep them up so long but half the time they knew when he couldn't sleep and they insisted on helping him fall asleep and would not take no for an answer.
Tonight was one of those nights they didn't notice though. They had been tired from the day and fell asleep almost immediately. Sapnap was glad they were getting some good sleep for once but also upset that he couldn't fall asleep himself. "Sap?" Sapnap heard a low groggy voice from behind him say. He turned around to see Dream leaning on the door frame and a sleepy Gogy resting his head on the tall man's shoulder. "Guys!? Why uh, why are you awake. . ." Sapnap asked them quietly. "I heard footsteps in the hallway and I saw you weren't in your room. So I went and woke George up and we came to find you." Dream explained. "Oh, y-you guys didn't have to do that...'' Dream sat down next to Sapnap an wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
George followed soon after, laying his head down on Sapnap's other shoulder. "So, what kept you up this time Sapnap?" George asked, all sleepy like. That hit Sapnap in a way he was sure George didn't mean. But his brain made him think that George was annoyed he had to wake up to get Sapnap back to sleep. He felt guilty, he was always waking them up or keeping them awake for so long and he felt bad about it. He didn't try to but Dream and George always seemed to know when he was awake at night. "Sapnap?" suddenly he was snapped out of his thoughts.
He looked over at George who's look had become a little more confused than sleepy. "Huh?" "Sorry you were spacing out. You okay?" George asked. "Yeah, yeah, I just feel bad for keeping you up all the time." Sapnap said with a chuckle. "Don't feel bad Sap, we stay up because we love you." Dream said, kissing Sapnap on the cheek.
Dream gave Sapnap a sweet smile while George also gave him a kiss on his other cheek. Sapnap wasn't used to seeing Dream's smile believe it or not. The smile under his mask, not the one on it. They had known each other for years and the first time he saw Dream's face clearly was the first time they kissed. Sapnap was still a little upset that he had known Dream longer but George saw his face first, and the way they acted sometimes. It made him think they liked each other more than him, he felt left out a lot but when they would ask him about it he would deny it. Saying something like "No don't worry it's okay." or "Why would you think that?" so they would believe he was okay with being left out so much, Sapnap snapped out of his thoughts and looked over to Dream, giving him a kiss.
It lasted for a little while before they broke apart. "Well that was a little sudden huh Sap?" Dream said, slowly wrapping his arms around Sapnap's waist with a widely growing grin. But all Sapnap did was smile and lean his head on Dream's shoulder. Dream, keeping his grip on his waist, turned Sapnap to face him. "Seriously Sapnap, are you okay?" Dream asked, laying his forehead on Sapnap's while George hugged him from behind. "Mhm," he replied, though he could feel himself starting to tear up. Dream's expression softened.
"Aw, Sappy," Dream started. He gave Sapnap a quick kiss, "What's wrong?" he asked. "I just," Sapnap tried to start but got cut off by a sob. "I-I just feel bad. I keep you guys up all the time, you always look tired and it's my fault! If I could just get myself to get some actually damn sleep so you guys wouldn't have to put up with my bullshit!" Sapnap cried. George hugged Sapnap tighter and buried his face in his shoulder. "Sappy, Don't think like that." He mumbled in a sad tone.
"You guys would be better off without me..." Sapnap whimpered. "What!? Sapnap no why would you think that!?" Dream asked, clearly worried. "You guys always look like you have fun without me. And all I do is piss you off and mess up your sleep schedules. Plus the amount of times you guys have left me out was just saying something to me. Like...that you guys love each other more than you love me..." Sapnap mumbled to them. He kept his focus on the ground, not wanting to see Dream's reaction to what he just said. Then he felt his shoulder get cold and heard muffled sobbing. He quickly lifted his head up and looked to his shoulder to see George balling his eyes out. Sapnap almost felt his heart shatter at the sight.
"George! Aw I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry!" Sapnap said, his voice clearly laced with worry. He turned himself around so that now he was facing George and Dream was hugging him from behind. "Gogy, please don't cry! I'm so sorry! Please," Sapnap pleaded to the smaller male. George looked up to face him. "It's okay Sap but, do we really make you feel like that? And, please be honest." George asked him firmly. "I-I, yeah. . ." Sapnap replied, wiping his face of any tears. He felt the pressure on his waist tighten, knowing it was Dream.
"Sapnap, I'm so so sorry. We didn't notice but we should have. Your the one who would have been better off without us, not us you." Dream told him. "No! I love you guys to bits a pieces and that's never gonna change!" Sapnap reassured them, giving each of them a kiss. "We promise we won't leave you out again, ever." George told him, to which Dream nodded in agreement. "Thank you guys. I love you." Sapnap said. "We love you to Sappy," Dream said. "Now about your sleeping issue." Dream said. "I know, I know. I'll go back to bed." Sapnap sighed.
As he was about to stand up Dream swept him off his feet And held him bridal style in his arms. "Oh no, you, George and I are gonna go to bed together." Dream told him as they walked back into the house. "What? Why? I mean I'm not apposed to it but still." Sapnap asked. "Well," George started as he rubbed his eyes. "I've noticed that whenever you have to sleep alone it take you longer to drift off than it does when either me, Dream, or both of us sleep with you. Which lead me to the conclusion that you don't like being alone at night." George explained. "So we're fixing that!" Dream said cheerfully kissing Sapnap's cheek. "How exactly?" He asked as he got laid down on Dream's massive bed.
"We're gonna sleep together from now on!" Dream said as he laid down next to Sapnap. "But," "No buts, we know this will help you, so its gonna happen.'" George said, laying down as well. With Sapnap in the middle Dream and George cuddled up to him and got comfortable. Sapnap sighed as George and Dream started to drift off to sleep, them being able to fall asleep much faster than him, "Thank you guys, I needed this."
