Lloyd slammed his laptop shut. Rubbing his temples as he sat back in his chair. He knew reading over the news wasn't doing any good for him. Always the same stuff but with higher numbers. But yet he still looked in hopes of good news. The best he got today was little kids sending letters to a senior centre. He could hear his friends chatting with their family members through his open door. Their conversation over the internet was as loud as it would be in real life as he heard sighs and moans waft on in.

Lloyd stood and made his way down the hall, glancing into slightly opened doors as he walked by.

"Yes Ma, I've been washing my hands." Jay ran his hands through his chocolate curls. "No Ma, I don't need more toilet paper."

The pandemic hasn't been kind to the master of lightning's physical appearance. His hair was as wild as ever and he looks half-dead. But Lloyd couldn't judge. He wore his pyjamas under his gi everyday and somehow found gum in his hair when he hadn't eaten any in forever.

"Dad, I know you're upset but you can't risk peoples lives just so you can go on tour." Cole was telling Lou as he rolled his eyes out of camera view and emptied his glass of orange juice.

Lloyd had stepped into the living room when he heard an old, craggily voice call.

"Lloyd!" The green ninja found his uncle thwacking his computer with annoyance as the frozen face of Misako spritzed.

"Wow Mom, I think there's something wrong with your eyes." Lloyd said, feigning confusion at the weird face she had unfortunately stopped at.

"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon!" Her voice growled through the speaker as he fiddled around with the device before finally she unfroze.

He smiled innocently as she scowled at him. Her pale green eyes tired. "Have you been safe Lloyd?" She checked him, looking him up and down.

"Yes Mom." Lloyd settled beside Wu. "Don't worry, we already have masks and hardly ever leave. Zane and Pixal go out when we need something and they can't get the virus. Nya even made the decontamination thing."

"Alright." Misako relented. "Just be careful. Those anti-mask protests are getting violent and some of the Black Lives Matter is starting to riot as well."

"We have got this." Lloyd shook his head with a smile. "Ninjago's survived worse. We've all survived so much worse."

Misako sighed. "Alright, alright. But you better text me every night and call every weekend or you'll be facing something far more dangerous." Misako sent a mock threatening glare.

Lloyd snickered. "I believe that."

A beep sounded from the band on his wrist and he pressed a button, his com sliding out as he slipped it in his ear. He turned it on as he started out, waving good bye to Wu and his mother.

"What is it Pix?" Lloyd asked entering his room and scrambling to find his swords and weaponry.

"We have a protest that turned into a riot of unmasked citizens." Pixal announced.

"How many?"

"Over five hundred for sure. It's taken place at Central Park."

Lloyd tugged on his mask and launched himself out the window. "Who is available to join me?" He questioned as he climbed into his car and started away.

"Kai is but he's protesting adamantly." The android sighed. "Zane and I are stuck in the grocery line."

"It's fine. Tell Kai to get his butt over here in five!" Lloyd yelled over the road of the engine, he slammed his foot on the break when a large group of protesters clogged the road. They began to beat the vehicle with random objects.

"HEY!" Lloyd yelled. Opening the hatch. The protestors froze when they realized who was driving the car.

"Oh crud, that was the green ninja." One gasped. They erupted into screams as Lloyd stumbled out. They began running around, crashing into each other. The green-eyed teen ignored them and inspected the damage.

"Did you have to crack the front lights." He sighed as he turned away. His brow furrowed at the scene. "Wait...where are you all going?"

Lloyd leaped into the thrall, easily disarming the anti-mask protestors and grabbed some cuffs, binding their hands and sitting them down.

"Masks are important guys." He said as he flicked a struggling college student in the head and sat him down.

The police department rolled in as Lloyd was taping his license plate back on is car for the time being. They nodded to Lloyd as they arrested the Not-so-peaceful protestors.

Kai showed up as they were driving away, out of breath and wearing his mask backwards as he landed on Lloyd's hood.

"Where were you?" Lloyd demanded, casting him a cold look as he picked up signs the protestors had dropped.

"I...i had to go to the washroom!" Kai said defensively.

"Well, you're going to have to cover my patrol for tonight." Lloyd shoved the signs into his arms with a pointed look.

"What? Why?" Kai whined.

"Because you owe me." Lloyd smirked. "I took about...three missions and one patrol for you this week? I think I could use a break this weekend as well to make to for it."

Lloyd closed the hatch and cast his brother a mocking salute before hitting the gas and driving away.

"OH COME ON!' Kai shouted after. Hands dropping the signs and letting his palms fall to his sides. "YOU COULDN'T AT LEAST DRIVE ME BACK?"
