[Alia's P.O.V]
We all were stuffed inside two range SUV's. Sid drove our's and fubu for the other one. I was sitting at the passenger seat next to him. These hooligans whom I unfortunately tag along as my besties are real wild. I swear they are escapades of some freaky jungle! I mean aren't they all tired ?
Look at me!
Well, my performance, standing on the stage for more than 2 hours consecutively, walking the red carpet, getting my 1st filmfare trophy ..... so much activity! It definitely took a toll on me. To be honest, these people had basic nothing to do. They contributed the least to the function. All they did was dress up and align themselves into the show like some royalty. Considering that, I realise where all that energy exudes from them.
I gave a quick look to Sid who drove away with a hidden smile. Something was unusual about them all. To scatter my worried thoughts, I concentrated my attention to the view outside. Streetlights shone bright, paving way for the beasts on road. The bustling of this city always fascinated her. This city could never sleep. That was for sure.
Meanwhile I tried hard to identify the location they all excitedly were taking me to. Ayan was animatedly talking to no one in specific. Given that Sid had his eyes trained on the congested road and my mind off somewhere else. The other two passengers were engulfed within their phone duties. So that naturally conveyed the naked truth that the other vehicle inhabitants had the best of all time. Since the most energetic one's were stuffed within that car.
The broad lane of Juhu Tara Road looked way too much familiar. As our cars neared JVPD Scheme Park, I very well knew the place more than anything.
Wait, no!
"Are we going to my place?" I asked anxiously looking at Sid.
I hope the answer is negative.
"Yeah, yeh sadmaa aapke ghar waale seh paayenge kya?" he asked while hinting at our gang with tease. Ayu clapped his hands and was busy suppressing his laughter.
"They have to! No other option. Anyhow they have to bear. We ourselves are crazy" I giggled.
Our cars reached near the large wooden polished entrance gate.
PARADISE
I sighed a smile at the larger than life home plate. I loved it! Truly my home was a Paradise. The gates were wide open and our cars drove in till the parking lot. We got off from our cars but two people seemed to zone out. Pari and Adi were still immersed in their goddamn phone! What's in there ?
"Pari , come out!" I ordered like a parent.
Good lord, and the girl denies!
Or say, ignored!
"ADI !! Now you be obedient" I sighed.
No response.
I had to do this. I got in the car again and took a greater slice of peak into what the hell they got themselves so buried in. And simply as ever, it was the most bizarre of all.
Subway Surf
Candy Crush Saga
Now, c'mon.
We had to drag them out, like seriously.
The girls faced the most difficulty in dragging along those puffy gowns. While me and the boys walked away in super comfort. As soon as I realised they all were whispering and tiptoeing, I reprimanded them of their kiddish behaviour.
"You guys are not supposed to do that. Mom and Dad will obviously come a bit late after the show. Whereas my siblings might be half asleep or doing things of their own."
We entered the spacious living room and made ourselves comfortable on the cushions. Needless to say how the boys must have made themselves comfortable since they keep saying "Jo tera hai woh mera hai, jo mera hai woh mera hi hai'
Who am I kidding ?
We girls took up the stairs and got changed into our night pj's and comfy tees since it would be the death of us if we continued walking in our glamour outfit any longer. As we came down, the boys had already discarded there expensive branded shoes and tuxedo's somewhere near the cushion, with few buttons of their shirt, popped.
I left with Pari and Shredz into our kitchen to get some snacks and drinks. We made cold lemonades and took out snacks kept within sealed bins. Out of nowhere, pari screamed!
"Where are those freaking aloo fries that your mom prepares?" she cried with panic.
Oh, no.
With a numb expression, me and shraddha gave her a sympathetic look. As briefly as possible, let me explain the history behind those fries.
My granny used to make these yummy potato/aloo fries for my father. There was something different and amazing about them and their crunch. Now when he got married to my mum, she passed on the recipe to my mother. She in turn did some more modification and used to feed us the same. We as kids adored it like anything. Soon later it became an instant hit in the neighbourhood and among all friend circles. Thus, my mumma's aloo fries got viral and world famous thereby reaching my industry friends too. No wonder it became the most precious snack for Parineeti.
The other obsessed parties of this specific item are : Shaheen and Rahul, my siblings.
Now you might be wondering as to how on earth the stock got non-existent ?! Well, there's another short story.
After our party weekend, me and shraddha met up at her place and I had to bring the existing stock of fries for us to munch. Her elder brother Siddhanth became a huge fan of it all of a sudden. So that explains the empty air tight jar which once screamed yummy crispy crunchy fries !!!
"Umm... shaheen must have finished them. She and rahul are really crazy for them you know. They munch on them all the time. Infact they even ditched caramel popcorn to a generous tub of those fries while catching up on a movie in our home theatre" said I trying to make some sense.
"Really ? I never knew about this. Jo bhi hai, tell Soni maa to prepare more exclusively for me. Two jars would do fine. I just love them" she smiled zoning back to her dreamy world of potato fries floating in the air!
"Oh heroine! Keep consuming all those potatoes and you will grow like them - golu and molu!" said Bunny who came to have a look at us since we took time to attend the tired set of boys.
"Don't call me golu. I'm not skinny but ho jaoongi! Mere besharam yaara, picture abhi baaki hai rey!" she winked at an amused ranbir.
We chuckled at her drama and came back to the front room.
"Here you go!" I called out in an American accent to get their lazy attention. But alas, they seemed to pass out quick.
With those smelly socks! Eww ...
It was an uneven distribution with half of them on sofa and the other half on floor. Arjun lay wide eyed as if he was in a trance, sid and ranveer almost fainted, adi and VD on their phone and ayan trying to comprehend the entire situation.
"Arey oh chokron! Get up you all lazy bums." It had to startle them hey, poor ranbir got ignored. Obviously his bro code got insulted. We gave him the permission to go all filmy.
" Aa jao mere sheron !!
Tum sabki maa baahein failaayein khadi hain, saalo!
Lag jaao iss maa ke gale. Mita do iske saare dukh. De do isko saare jahaan ki khushi" Since the boys gave him only a slight hint of amusement at his sudden dramatic instinct, he pressed the matter more.
"Utt ja gaddho warna bohot maroongi." We clenched our stomach at laughed at his poor attempts. This brought the boys finally in great spirits. They stumbled and half ran to hug Bunny trying to wipe his fake invisible tears.
Such a pathetic actor!
"Maa..we love you" fake-cried Rannu. When all that shit calmed down, they finally took a seat and grabbed on whatever we brought from the kitchen. After having our fill, we dragged the cranky boys to the rooms upstair. One floor was dedicated to us siblings and our friends. Thank lord for that. Or else our parents won't be able to survive around high dozed energetic kiddos, around them all the time.
Offcourse nobody had the heart to leave. And we won't be getting sleep so soon since it was part of our get together home rule. I'll explain quickly.
1) All of our places had a friends-crash-in permission.
2) It could be after a very tiring party, or because we boozed up too much. The possibilities are endless.
3) We all had two rooms at our respective places, for the basic need of privacy and sleep. One being an all girl room and the other being a boys section. Each with their spare clothes, accesories, appliances, basically everything they needed.
As per rules, we girls took the route to my room and the boys to the room adjacent. They yet had to change their formal suits. Whereas we girls made sure my room was tidy enough to let them all in. Within 15 minutes they came back, rather groggy. We all needed entertainment before we went back to sleep.
"Kya karein bhaiyyon ?" Shredz asked in a melodramatic way.
"Let's Nachooooo..!!" Adi said showing off his native spirit.
"Woah Adi..what a step. We are not dancing right now, coz it has high tendency to wake up other habitants of my place" said I to remind them that we were at my place that too around 10 in the night- a time where my house doses off to sleep strictly!
Suddenly a flying saucer came flying , landed with a suitable crash on Fubu's head !
Gish! It made him scratch his head and wince in pain. He was flaring anger. We looked at the direction from where the saucer landed. There was Pari standing with a weird toothly smile like a flop joker as she knew that she goofed up hightime.
She was actually trying to figure out her headset from my closet. And girls closet in all of our homes had crazy stuff lined up other than clothes. It had makeup kits, laptops, Ipods, fashion magazines, personal locker diaries, flying saucer like this and much more... To put it in a nutshell, it was as cracked as us.
"Urghhh....Pariiiii!!....Joya Im not gonna leave you now!!" Fubu screamed in anger. By the way they have this nostalgic Parma-Zoya name thing since their debut days. So he deliberately calls her 'Joya' just like his character used to call her in their film, to annoy her.
This time he was beyond annoyed.
Before anyone could do anything, he stomped towards her and pulled her hair! She got blazing angry and pulled his hair! Together they kicked, pulled and punched each other and it was a Live Mahayudh going on They were worse than street kids.
"Fubu ke bacche...I'll kill you..aahh!" cried an even ill tempered Pari. Shredz tried to pull apart Pari as she got on fire. While me and others were pulling Fubu as he was quite mighty and was towering over her. At last I got angry and went near my bed, took a soft fluffy white little pillow and threw it at Fubu's head,
It hit the jackpot, I mean at the right spot!
The fight abruptly stopped all of a sudden. Fubu looked over at me in shock. Others too stared in disbelief.
"Now you throw this back at her!" Pari said to him as a matter of fact.
He looked at me, took the pillow, came near the bed and kept it at it's original place.
Silence............
I didn't expected him to be this non-reactive to my conscious attack. I mean I knew this fact that he had this special fondness for me and will never hurt me....but this shocked me totally.
..............................................
NOTE : This is the beginning of another series, but based on their bond and friendship. It will throw hints of romance, crush, jealous and everything. It might be dragged a bit but nevertheless I want my characters to be strong and well explained if not anything else. The base must be well built for the story to move forward.
Love forever,
Jemi :)
