[Alia's P.O.V]

After my crazy dance act, the crowd went berserk. I changed into my attire for the eve- Sari and went towards the first row. I saw my seat occupied by Sonakshi. Well, situations like this got pretty much normal. Since it's such a long midnight event, there are way too many breaks in between for people to breathe, roam and chirp. Also to occupy other people's seat!

My eyes searched for a seat. That is when they landed upon boys from my gang smiling wide at me gesturing a seat in between them. To the right sat Sid, Ayu, Rannu and Fubu and to the left were VD, Adi and Bunny. It gloriously meant me to be sandwiched between them all.

I hesitatingly sat on the seat prescribed by them. Not that I cared about gossips and link-ups. I am linked with half the men sitting across me! But I was conscious about the fact that I was the only female actor to get such a comfortable seat allocated.

Note my happiness.

Among us girls, I am more closest to our gang of boys. Must be because I am more comfortable around them and I can be myself. They are my backbones and the shoulders that I rest on to cry. They treat me like a princess and I totally enjoy all those attention I get! Its a pure feeling that can't be explained. The boys welcomed me to their "Seat Group" by shaking hands out of sarcastic formality. I happily shook back and mouthed few "Namaste's" Back at the stage, SRK and Karan were hosting.

After so many acts and awards distributed, the most awaited "BEST ACTRESS AWARD" for the year 2014 was to be distributed. Hosts announced Udit Narayan (Singer) and his son Aditya  to announce the winner. After the demo of best performances shown, Udit dada started off with the announcement.

"And the Filmfare Award for BEST ACTRESS of the year goes to..........." 

Drunk audio technician played a yet again crappy bgm to create an atmosphere of utter suspense.

Back at our seat, the scenario resembled kindergarten days. Pari and Shredz were crossing their fingers for me with a worry line etched on their forehead. Both my arms were held qute firmly byy the boys on both my sides. They had their eyes closed, waiting for the bomb to explode. I smiled at all of these cuties. My mind was in a complete contrast. I did not held huge expectations since the year 2014 had way too many powerful female performances. So the chance was null plus the nominee's were my best buddies and any one of them winning the laurel would be a great moment for me personally.

He continued... 

"The winner is a very beautiful and wonderful actress of our current generation! Beta ,we are very proud of you!!"

I felt a shiver of glee spread through me.

And did I just saw him gazing at me while he uttered those lines ?

"AND THE WINNER IS ALIA BHATT......!!! 

squealed Aditya in excitement.

God bless this soul.

My gang broke into a happy smile! Sid stood up along with me and pulled me towards him suddenly to his chest and hugged the hell out of me. A bone crushing hug for that matter.

Entire crowd stood up with pride and respect making my eyes moisten with gratitude. Meanwhile I was still caged within the strong arms of a man I strongly liked. He wasn't leaving me and lo, the boys jumped on us and gave a bear hug! Pari and Shredz jumped and screamed out of joy.

After detaching myself from the bone crushing hugs, I touched my mom and dad's feet out of respect and also of my gang's out of fun. The gang gave me all their aashirwaads. I went upto the stage and hugged Karan and SRK. They kissed my forehead and Karan was getting all emotional. I swear he is my male version. Sensitive and witty. I went towards the middle of the grand stage to receive my award, my appreciation to a character that changed my life forever. I touched Udit dada's feet and he hugged and happily blessed me. I touched Aditya's feet out of pure fun and he mimicked an aashirwaad too.

I took my black beauty, my award in my hand. She felt the same as the day I touched her for the first time. I picked her up from my elder sister's award shelf. I gazed then with wonder, with curious eyes on the marvel I held. My sister reminded me that if I wanted to understand the depth of receiving this fortune, I had to work real hard. Now today when I've finally got it finally for myself, I can feel those emotions she once explained to me. Trust me, I felt out of the world.

I dared to look at the audience in front of me, waiting with bated breath to hear out what I had to say. I shivered at the black marvel in my hand. I sighed. I saw my mom having tears of joy, my dad smiling widely looking at me with proud eyes with a tint of tears and my gang smiling like fools! I took the mic and spoke in shattered hysteric voice.....

" I don't know what this particular film Highway means to anybody else, but it means so much to me. With this film, I found myself, the Alia I never knew existed. A big hear.... heartfelt thankyou to Imtiaz for giving me Highway. Your the man behind this success and this achievement. I owe it to you sir. I love you randy, for being the best ever co-star.  Thank you Karan for  introducing me to this industry. I seriously don't know anything else to do. I'm always performing. From my mother's womb, I came out in ACTION!

So, thank you karan for making that possible. My 1st co-stars, VD and Sid....LOVE YOU BOTH! Thank you for being my strength. You both know the real me-the real ALIA BHATT. Thank you mummy, daddy and my entire family. My lifelines, my gang .... I LOVE YOU!! - Pari, Shredz, Ayu, Bunny, Adi, VD, Rannu, Fubu and Sid! You guys rock and are simply the BESTEST partners in crime!! My fans who loved me when I was no one, thank you! A.. and ..I ...

I felt hot tears rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't bottle up all those emotions up there in my eyes. They had to find their way down my cheeks, to flow without hindrance. I took the tissue offered by Aditya with a smile and wiped my tears. I could see my mom and dad crying. Kjo was also in tears. Girls were sobbing. Sid and VD just looked at me with those emotional smiley face and then a tear trickled down their cheeks too They basically laughed through their tears!

While Ayu, Bunny, Adi, Fubu and Rannu showed me a thumbs up and were busy ruffling VD and Sid's hair as they were being emotional I smiled at their hilarious bonding.

"OK...no more crying now!! THANK YOU.... LOVE YOU ALL!!"

People hooted and whistled for me! Thundering claps were showered upon for me. My family, colleagues and my gang stood up and give a standing ovation with claps.

This night was crazy.......and its OVER!

I quickly exited after the show got end on a good note. After all of this emotional mess, I no longer could stay more. I took large strides with my trophy, so as to move out from the complex to reach home.

As they say, some people would and should never change!

The media friends .....and MY FRIENDS!!\

Media was going all gaga over my award acceptance speech and wished me. They wanted me to pose with my award. I silently agreed to their demands. While I was busy posing, someone grabbed my black lady from my hand

Hey!

I became worried and looked beside to see all of them smiling like fools.

"VD you're showing up 32 of your total teeth! And please do brush it once in a week na?" I tried to take revenge as he got hold of my award. "Hey you got a golden tooth ?"asked Sid while putting a hand on his shoulder. "Where? Let me see...dikha toh!"  demanded I with a grin.

"Yeah Batuklal  show na plz. I never knew about this!" demanded Shredz too. "Stop it Chirkut! and you all. I don't have a golden teeth!"  VD said getting irritated.

"Ma'am..why don't you pose with your friends? It would make for a great headline pic!"  said a random news reporter. It was surely a great idea.

All of them aligned next to me in such a way that we all looked like a big family posing. But the pose style changed when the award was took hold by Sid standing next to me in the near middle. He lifted the award in the air and we all did a victory pose. By looks we resembled Team India's legendary ICC world cup win of 2011.

After all the drama, they dragged me into our cars. Sensing their excitement, I decided to pray hard since they weren't going to leave me soon.

NOTE : So, the FILMFARE - series is finally done. But get ready for another series :D
