JACK'S POV

|||1 DAY, 19 HOURS LATER..|||

I watch as he swings it towards me while Claire stands behind crying in tears shouting for him to stop, I secretly nod at Conor signaling him to call, then he slowly hides behind the crowd pressing call.

CLAIRE'S POV

|||1 DAY, 19 HOURS BEFORE..|||

9.30AM

I grab my iPod and press shuffle whilst starting to run down the street, I felt the need to wake up and take an run then head to Jack's to surprise him since he said that he missed me the other day.

After I finished working out I grabbed out the clothes that I decided to wear at Jacks which consisted of high waisted shorts and a t-shirt, I then put my hair into a ponytail and grabbed my car keys with my Macbook incase I wanted to do some work with my sunglasses before leaving the apartment.

I drove to Jack's then parked my car and head upstairs. When I rang the doorbell Josh answered, I greeted him as he invited me inside.

"What a surprise", Josh said smiling. "Haha yeah.. how are you?" I smiled giving him a hug, since he was way taller than me I ended up hugging him from his waist which felt a bit awkward. "Where's Jack?", I asked putting my macbook on the counter.

"He's sleeping", he replied pointing at his bedroom, "Alright thanks" I said leaving him. I opened the door slowly then closed it behind me as I sat beside Jack looking at him sleeping, he was gorgeous with his Calvins on, I thought. 

 I stroke his hair slowly trying to wake him up, it was already 12.30PM and he needed to eat something.

After giving him a few strokes and small kisses on his cheeks he woke up grunting slowly opening his eyes and looking at me with a smirk. "Hey love, what are you doing here?" he said half asleep. "Surprise!" I whispered making him smile, he then grabbed me pulling me towards his half naked body and cuddled me tight; spooning me whilst kissing the back of my neck.

"Jack we need to get up", I giggled as he went on top starting to making out with me. Suddenly we heard a knock in the door then Jack got up leaving me in bed as he looked at the door to see who it was and it turned out to be Conor, "Oops sorry", he mumbled before he shut the door then Jack looked over at me and we both started laughing.

"I'm going to the bathroom", he said leaving the room. I then got up and went to the kitchen were Conor was making coffee. "Sorry for interrupting", he said making his coffee. "It's alright nothing was happening anyways", I told him then he laughed, "Okay", was all he said ignoring the fact that we were doing something

"Have you had breakfast yet?" I asked him, "Ermm nope", he answered. "I'll make some eggs", I said opening the fridge then not finding anything but milk, beer and cheese. "Wow..", I said; then Conor looked at me, "You guys need to go grocery shopping", I laughed making him laugh whilst nodding his head in agreement. "Tell Jack that I went to M&S to get some eggs and pancakes", I shouted to Conor before I left the apartment.

JACK'S POV

I head to the living room to find out where Claire went, when I didn't find her I went to the kitchen to ask Conor. "Good morning", I said. "Morning", he replied, "Where's Claire?", "Oh she told me to tell you that she went to the M&S for eggs and pancakes she will be back soon", he replied.

"Ok that's great because I wanted you to give me ideas for what to buy her as a gift and what did you get her?", I said. "I'm giving her a copy of my new cover album which hasn't been released yet", he told me. "Oh that's a good one.. I'm thinking of buying a her a bracelet from Pandora which is just down the street", I said.

"I think she'll like that.. you better go get it now before she come back because she looks like she's gonna stay here for the day", Conor said. "Alright mate, I'm taking your car".

"Wait? What? No.. I can't trust you with that it's new, what if-" "Don't worry Conor! Nothing will happen to it, now where are the keys?" I interrupted him. "Fine. They're in my room", he pointed, "Okay thanks mate",  I rushed to grab the keys then I got in the car and started driving.

I arrived after 7 minutes of driving and parked then went inside and the shopkeeper greeted me and asked if I wanted any help so I told him that I was looking for a bracelet for a special person then he took the most beautiful bracelets from under the glass. One caught my attention. It had two flowers in it and it looked just beautiful.

I chose it then paid and as soon he gave me the bag I grabbed it then heard my phone ding so I got it out to see who it was. When I looked at the message it was Conor.

Mate, she'll be back any minute hurry up!!

After reading it I rushed to the car, put the bag on the front seat and drove back as fast as I could. I arrived before her because her car wasn't parked, so I parked, grabbed the bag and went upstairs. I knocked on the door and Conor answered, "Did you get it" he asked, "Yeah.. thank god she hasn't arrived" then I heard the doorbell ring, I knew it was her so I rushed to my room to hide the bag in my drawer.

CLAIRE'S POV

Conor answered the door then let me in whilst helping me with the bags . Jack came out of his room and gave me a little kiss on my cheek then decided to help me make the pancakes.

Whilst they ate I sat on the couch with my laptop replying to some emails including Zoe's.

FROM: ZOE SUGG

TO: CLAIRE MASON

SUBJECT: PROJECT!!

Hey Claire! I just had a meeting with Emma, she showed me the packaging that you guys have created! It's exactly how I've wanted it to be, thank you so much for helping me out I thinks my viewers will love this :)

I was glad that she had liked it, I wrote her a message thanking her for letting me apart of her new product line and designing the packaging with her and that i also enjoyed it.

After I was done with my emails, I tweeted about my birthday and got a lot of birthday wishes that I appreciated then Jack and I watched Netflix while Conor head upstairs to his room to upload his cover video. "So tomorrow's your birthdayy.. what do you want to do love?" Jack asked me. "Oh yeah that.. I don't really know what to do, I think maybe hangout over here with you?" I replied, "You're boring", he joked teasing me which made us both laugh. "How about we go to the club to celebrate, have a few drinks you know?" he suggested and I then nodded giving him a kiss.

A few minutes later Conor came downstairs to join us before the doorbell rang and he decided to open it. Caspar, Joe, Oli and Mikey were at the door, Conor greeted them all with man hugs and invited them inside where they greeted myself and Jack then joining us after.

JACK'S POV

7PM

Me and the boys played Fifa and had lunch after they arrived while Claire went to my room to reply to emails and go through twitter, she didn't mind us playing since she had something to do and was distracted or else she would have wanted to have a chat with us. After a few minutes we got bored and started to make funny snapchat videos.

Then we decided to head to the club for a little bit of drinking because we were saving that for Claire's surprise party. We all got ready and took an Uber since we were drinking and arrived there in 15 minutes.

We immediately started dancing and having a few drinks, I was afraid that Conor would get too excited and dance all crazy causing security to get us out but luckily none of that happened unlike last time. Claire and I danced together and made funny snapchat videos of us dancing and lip syncing to the songs while Conor grabbed a microphone and started to sing along.

When I glanced over at Caspar I saw him holding a girl and kissing her so I took a picture and shouted over to the boys to see what he was doing, he was getting some I thought then laughed. We all cheered them up until they stopped and gave us dirty looks which made us all crack up.

10.30PM

After a few hours and a few drinks, I got out my phone and made some snapchat videos for fun to let people what I was doing.

We then decided to go back to our apartments, I begged Claire to stay for the night so she texted Rosie informing her that she wasn't coming around. Joe, Caspar and Oli took an uber back to each others' apartments while me, Conor and Claire went back to my flat.

When we arrived Conor decided to go to sleep because he wanted to wake up early for a meeting while we chilled on my bed. Claire didn't take her clothes since she last time so I gave her clean PJs to sleep in from her bag while I took my clothes off leaving my Calvins on as always. When we laid back in bed I ended up giving her a few kisses before we both fell asleep.

__________________________NEXT DAY

CLAIRE'S POV

10AM

I felt something munching on my neck which made me wake up, when I slowly opened my eyes and turned around I found Jack wrapping his arms around me and kissing my neck. "Morning love, wake up it's your birthday!!", I hear him say then I smirk. "Happy birthday!", he said kissing me, "Thank you", I smiled kissing him back, "I woke up a few minutes ago and made breakfast with Conor, come join us yeah?"

"Okay", I groaned as he left the room. I then got up and grabbed fresh clothes from the suitcase which I left last time at Jack's, used the bathroom then went outside. As I was walking outside Conor came past me and gave me a huge hug "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" he yelled hugging me tighter, "I can't breathe", I joked then he let me go and we both started laughing, "Thanks Conor", I said with a smile.

"Come on I want to give you something", he said grabbing my hands leading me upstairs to his room. "Oh Conor you didn't have to get me anything", "Course I did now close your eyes!", he said covering my eyes. I heard a drawer open, "Open!", I looked at what was in his hands and saw a CD written on it is "Covers by Conor Maynard". I freaked out and hugged Conor before taking it from his hand, "That's my not yet released album, you're the first to have it. It also has an original song", he smiled. "Omg thank you! You know how much I love your songs thanks again Conor!" I said smiling. "That's alright", he said smiling back.

"Let's go have breakfast". "Okay you go I'll be right behind you I need to put this in my bag so I won't forget it", I said. He walked downstairs and I followed him going back to Jack's room to put Conor's present then went to the living room to have breakfast.

I saw Jack putting some pancakes on the table while Conor and Josh helped to prepare cereal. Josh wished me happy birthday and hugged me tight, he said that he'll give me my present later with Jack after eating. "Mmm smells good Jack", I said smiling at him then he gave me a wink which made me blush.

After eating Conor and I sat down and watched TV while Jack and Josh got their presents. I decided to open Josh's first, he got me two mugs that had funny quotations in them, I really liked it and I thanked him for them. 

Jack then gave me his, it was a Pandora bag and in it was a note and box, I attempted to open the letter later so when I took a look on what was inside the box I found a really pretty bracelet. My jaw almost dropped, I thanked Jack and gave him small kisses then thanking him again for almost ten times.

"Thank you so much! I'll wear it later!" I said putting it inside the bag smiling. "Thanks a lot guys!" I said hugging all three of them then continued watching television.

A FEW HOURS LATER....

JACK'S POV

A few hours had passed and we were still hanging out, when I looked at my watch it was around 5PM, I texted Rosie and she told me that everything was in place for later after the club and that everyone was coming. So I thought that it was the right time for us to go to the club with the buys and blow out her candles.

"Claire! Come on get ready! We have to go!" I shouted at her from my room then she knocked the door and came inside. "Where are we going?"
"The club", I replied. "Don't you think it's too early Jack..", she said confused.

"Well when we get there you'll see why", I said teasing her. "Just wear anything casual but not too casual for now".

I could see that she was confused but as soon as we head to the club and her apartment she'll find out why. I watch as she grabbed clothes from her bag and head to the bathroom to get ready whilst I got ready in my room. I wore a black t-shirt with a white jacket on top and black ripped jeans then I styled my hair.

Claire went inside my room whilst I tied my shoes, she looked pretty.. she had a tall black jacket on with a fancy blouse and leggings on and her hair was down, it was perfect. After she wore her heels we got in an uber with Conor and Josh then headed to the club.

After we arrived and got in we got a few drinks then sat in the table. "Are you ready?" I asked her which made Conor and Josh smile. "For what?" and as she said that a guy came in with a huge cake which was decorated with berries that I've chosen, I knew how much she liked them. "OMG." Was all she could say before covering her mouth then everyone started singing Happy birthday for her, she was speechless with tears running down her cheeks, after singing along she blew the candles and gave me a really tight hug thanking me.

"Omg Jack! You did this?! And you know I love berries" she smiled then giving me multiple kisses, "Yeah, hope you like it", I smiled back. She made me take a few pictures with her and the cake on her hands, she looked really happy but she had no idea that there was another surprise.

A few hours later I got a text from Rosie telling me that everyone has arrived so I told Claire that we should go. Conor and Josh took a separate uber to her apartment and we took a separate one to my apartment where should could change. "Why are Conor and Josh going on a separate uber?" she asked, "Because we are going to change over at my apartment, Joe invited everyone at their place to celebrate your birthday that's where Conor and Josh are going. Rosie didn't have a ride so I figured out we'd go and change, pick her up then head to Joe's", I lied but it's going to be worth her reaction.

"Oh really?? That would be really fun!", she said in excitement. She didn't know that everyone was at her apartment, she was going to be really surprised, all her close friends are there and she would never have guessed.

When we arrived she changed into this beautiful short white dress, I really like it; it was simply but gorgeous. She put on the bracelet that I've got her which made me smile and give her a kiss before leaving the apartment.

We ordered an Uber again then head to her place, while we were in the car I secretly texted Rosie telling her that we were arriving in 5-10 minutes.

We then arrived and I paid the driver then we went upstairs, there was no noise.. thank god she took out her key to open the door I thought she was going to ring the bell as soon as we arrive.

The light were completely shut, "What the..", before she could even finish her sentence the lights were back on and everyone screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" she was shocked not knowing what was happening, she looked over at me and tears were forming in her eyes I gave her a huge hug while she had her hands in her mouth, "Happy birthday baby girl".

An hour past and we were all dancing around having fun whilst drinking. I then saw as Joe answer the door, someone must have came late I guess..

Claire and I were dancing so when I glanced over at the door she realizes then looks over at the door.

"No way..No fucking way", I heard her mumble under her breath. It was Matt. Yes. The one I fought back in LA, the one who broke her heart, was here. Everyone looked at him as he came in and everyone seemed to know who he was then the music suddenly stopped.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I shouted wanting to punch him but she stopped me by grabbing my hand.

"Wanted to say hi and celebrate.. Happy birthday", he fake smiled. "What do you want just get out!" Claire yelled. "Nahh.. I actually wanted to get payback for what you did to me in LA", he said walking closer.

I nodded at Conor as telling him to call the police then he did, they were probably on their way.

"Matt just please leave", Claire told him. "Cut the bullshit!" I said. "IS THIS BULLSHIT!?" he said pulling out a gun then everyone freaked out and backed off. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING PUT THAT DOWN!" Claire shouted tears started falling from her eyes. "Mate don't do anything you'll regret later!" I heard Joe say.

I watch as he swings it towards me while Claire stands behind crying in tears shouting for him to stop. "PLEASE MATT DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID!" she shouted crying. He pulled the trigger and before you know it Claire wrapped her hands around me; hugging me.

"Jack..", she whispered her hands letting go then falling down. Tears were rushing through my eyes quickly as I watched her fall down and bleed, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" I shouted at him as his jaw dropped in surprise then falling next to her holding her tightly.

"Jack...", she said trying not to close her eyes. "CALL THE AMBULANCE NOW!!"

"Shhhh... Claire baby look at me just stay with me please!" I ripped a part of my t-shirt and squeezed on to her wound. "Claire just please stay with me please!!!" I shouted with tears running down my cheeks and barely seeing, I run my fingers through her hair and cheek. A tear dropped from my eye which caused me to cry even more.

The police rushed to the door and pulled Matt putting the cuffs on his hands and then the paramedics came. They carried her downstairs to the ambulance while I held her hand telling her to stay, I jumped in with her to the car and saw as everyone else took their own.

"Please stay with me", I whispered.
