What Broken Bones?

Tryhardninja - Take Back The Night

Cast the shadows out from sight

A final stand, a shouting cry

All the wrongs now turned to right

So fight the past

Take back the night

Now back in the Destiny's Bounty, the ninja stood in the training room of the flying ship, the other ninja holding their weapons while they surrounded Lloyd who had his eyes closed, listening to his uncle. You decided to sit nearby, playing cards with Remo and listening.

''Your new body is a fighting instrument. Listen to it.'' Wu instructed his nephew.

Lloyd's eyes opened as Cole swung his scythe, whipping around to kick him, grabbing Jay's nunchucks before he could land a hit, and flinging him to the side. Lloyd jumped to avoid Zane's shurikens as they flew at him, the weapons landing in the watermelon Nya carried in. The girl shot a glare at Zane, who gasped.

''Since he's grown, he's learning faster, Sensei,'' Nya told the Sensei. You turned your gaze away from your game, dealing a yellow reverse card when Remo wasn't looking. The little snake huffed when he realised.

''But will it be enough to challenge Lord Garmadon? Only time will tell.'' Replied Wu, looking at Nya.

Kai unsheathed his sword, pointing it at Lloyd. Thrusting it forward, the Green Ninja caught the blade with his thankfully gloved hands. Both of them struggled to keep their footing, attempting to win, but both were of equal force.

Lloyd began summoning a bright sphere of sparkling green Energy, though Kai pulled the blade towards himself, causing the Green Bean to fall to the floor.

''Hahaha, you're getting pretty good, but that move you fell for was basic 101.'' Porcupine grabbed Lloyd's hand and helped him up.

''Yeah, if I had focused more when I was little, I would've seen that coming,'' Lloyd replied.

''We cannot change the past, but we can improve for the future. Again, and this time, do not hold back.'' Wu informed, holding his hands behind his back.

Squawking, the Falcon returned to the Destiny's Bounty, landing on Zane's arm. The group headed to control to insert the Falcon's drive into the computer.

''The Falcon has returned with troubling news. What did you see, my mechanical-feathered friend?'' Zane questioned, turning his gaze to the screen.

''The Lost City of Ouroboros!'' Nya exclaimed, seeing the Serpentine sparring together.

''Garmadon has returned to the Serpentine home base, but why?'' Kai asked the others.

''Looks like they're preparing for a final battle,'' Cole observed.

''Nya, change course. We'll head straight for them.'' Wu told the samurai girl, who nodded, making the Destiny's Bounty swerve around, going in the opposite direction.

While it was on its course back to the ancient city, the group began to suit up in preparation for the battle ahead, even Nya doing the same.

Sitting in your room, you heard them grabbing their weapons. Being left alone like this wasn't something you wanted right now, with everything that's happened in the past few days and the fears that arose or strengthened as a result of some of those events you would say handling it wouldn't be easy.

An orange wisp drifted upward from your open palm while you concentrated on it, and the wisp turned transparent, slightly distorting its surroundings. You held out your arm, letting the illusion cover it. Your arm completely vanished, and a grin formed on your face.

There may be a way for you to still be involved. You just had to be careful.

The ninja climbed down the chain once the ship arrived at Ouroboros, sneaking into the ancient city's centre while you utilised your illusions to stay hidden, following after them.

A golden Spinjitzu tornado appeared. ''Ninja, go!'' Wu stopped spinning to face his brother.

''Oh, brother!'' Garmadon growled.

''It's time we finished this,'' Wu replied, his students and Nya leaping into position. You remained behind them, glaring at Garmadon.

''Bring it on, fools!'' Fourarmadon challenged. Lloyd leapt in, throwing Ice at the Mega Weapon and freezing it before his father could use it.

''Lloyd? Is that you?'' He stared back at his son, dismayed.

''Yeah. I've grown a little since the last time you saw me, Dad.'' Lloyd replied.

''Stop him!'' Garmadon commanded the Serpentine, running away.

One fight later, with you using your electricity to shock any that got too close while trying to make sure the others didn't see you, the group arrived in a room where the Four-Armed Lord escaped to, finding a swirling portal.

''He used the Mega Weapon again!'' Cole told the others, looking at the portal.

''Oh, swell. Every time he uses that thing, something terrible happens. Now what?'' Jay questioned. Underneath, the ground rumbled, sand appearing and covering the stone floor.

''What's going on?'' Kai questioned.

''Is the city sinking?'' Jay asked.

''Worse. The city's returning back into the desert as if it had never been found in the first place.'' Zane answered. The illusion covering you flickered at your panic, finding yourself unable to move with the wheelchair swamped with sand.

''Uh, what? What does that mean?'' Porcupine inquired.

''What's happening?'' Nya asked.

''Garmadon's gone back in time to make it so Lloyd never turns into the Green Ninja.'' Frosty the Ice Ninja explained.

''I can't...I can't feel my hands.'' Lloyd fearfully admitted, looking at them.

''Uh. Ugh. We have to go in!'' Kai urged, struggling in the sand.

'Well, I'm sure as heck not going in that portal, coming here was a mistake...' You gazed at the others as they struggled.

'Too bad, you didn't come all this way for nothing.' Morro replied. You furrowed your eyebrows in thought.

''If he changes anything, he changes everything! Protect the future, ninja!'' Wu told the ninja. They jumped into it at his command.

The wind picked up considerably even in the small room. 'Wait, what-'' You didn't have time to finish your sentence, as a gust came through and swept you off the wheelchair, recklessly tossing you into the portal. The illusion dissolved with this, and you became visible.

''(Y/n)!'' A shocked scream was the last thing you heard before the portal swallowed you up.

A squelch and the ninja landed in the waist-deep mud, while nearby you landed on the grass. Pain shot up your arms, making you wince as you pushed yourself up enough to look around.

''Remind me to pack a helmet next time we time travel,'' Jay told the others.

''(Y/n)? How are you here?" Zane questioned upon noticing you. The other's eyes followed his gaze, a few gasps and dropped jaws following.

''Let's just focus on what's going on right now, I was stupid enough to follow.'' You rubbed an arm, leaning on a rock. Oddly enough, no anxiety bothered you, just tranquillity despite the urgency of the ninja's mission. ''It's not like I can go back anyway.'' The portal disappeared as quickly as it had arrived.

''Where are we, then?" Cole glanced around.

''You mean when are we?" Zane asked him.

''Four Weapons. Ha! My parents' shop. Nya and I used to work there.'' Kai looked up at his former home. ''Hey, wait a minute, this is the day Garmadon ordered the Skeletons to take my sister. We need to warn them!'' He urged.

''Whoa, whoa! You heard what Sensei said: we change anything, we change everything.'' Cole told him.

''Yeah, I was confused by that too,'' Jay said, wiping off some mud from his gi.

''I wasn't listening.'' You admitted.

''What he means is, our world is the result of past events that have already happened. If for whatever reason events in our past fail to happen, then the future could radically change.'' Zane explained.

''Uh, so what you're saying is we gotta stop Garmadon from changing anything? But of all the times, why did we land here?'' Jay questioned.

''...'Cause this is where it all started,'' Kai answered. ''The day I met Sensei Wu for the first time and I began my training as a ninja. Somehow, Garmadon is gonna try to prevent that, but how?''

Cole sighed. ''If only Sensei were here to guide us.''

Jay spotted the past version of Wu walking towards the shop. ''Oh look, there he is! Maybe he can!'' He pointed at the Past Tea-Obsessed Man.

''We gotta tell him what Garmadon has done,'' Cole replied.

''But we can't let the old Kai and Nya see that we talked to him, or else it will affect the future,'' Zane told the others.

''Hmm. I know exactly what to do.'' Kai spoke. The ninja went into action, taking turns carrying you while sneaking up to the shop behind an oblivious Wu, heading into the space beside the shop, and waiting for Wu to come past.

Kai snuck up behind the old sensei and covered his mouth with one hand before pulling him to the rest of the ninja. The boys removed their hoods, while distantly you heard the roaring of engines approaching.

Dark clouds looming over the land appeared, casting shadows over its villagers who looked to see the Skullkin's vehicles appear on the crest of the hill. They charged, scaring the villagers away and headed for the blacksmith's shop. Past Kai wore a metal helmet, as well as armour.

Observing from a hole in the wall, the boys then turned to see a few skeletons, with you stealing one of their bony arms from their sockets and using it to smack a Skullkin in the face.

''Stop hitting yourself!'' You chuckled, the Skullkin's head spinning each time you hit it. Jay took out the rest of the skeletons, swinging his nunchucks around wildly.

After you were finished, you saw the water tower falling while Past Kai stood there, looking at it frozen in fear. A golden Spinjitzu tornado swept past, saving Past Kai as the water tower crashed down where he was seconds ago.

''Lord Garmadon says take the girl.'' Past Samukai ordered the Skullkin. Garmadon knocked out Kruncha before the skeleton could use the claw, firing it instead and making it miss on purpose. Seeing as they didn't take Nya, the Skullkin retreated.

The Past Blacksmith Siblings embraced each other, happy they still had each other while the others remained on the other side of the fallen water tower near Wu.

Kai snuck a look around the corner. ''Oh, this isn't good.'' He told the past version of his sensei.

''Why? We saved you and your sister.'' Past Wu confusedly replied.

''No, the Skeletons were supposed to get away with Nya. Ah. The only reason you convinced me to become a ninja in the first place was to get her back.'' Kai told the old man.

''Oh, I see,'' Wu said, looking away in shame.

''Sensei, no matter what, you need to convince Kai to go with you.'' Zane urged him.

''Why's that?" You questioned.

''Because if Kai doesn't become a ninja, the world as we know it won't exist. The four of us will never unite. We'll never train Lloyd to become the Green Ninja. And (Y/n) will have never met us.'' Zane informed in concern.

Jay gasped. ''No matter what, you need to convince him to go with you!'' He grabbed Sensei's arm, shaking him.

''Uh...'' Wu signalled for you and the ninja to hide. Disappearing via illusions, you realised too late that Jay noticed, his eyes widening instantly. He remained silent as Past Kai talked to Wu.

Wu tried to convince Porcupine to come with him, but the to-be Fire Ninja refused. Luckily, Nya convinced him to go with the old man and give him a chance.

''How much longer?" Cole questioned the others as they headed down the path towards the Monastery, with you in his arms.

''Stop asking that, I'm tired of it.'' You replied, sighing. The Earth Ninja grunted as your world went sideways, tripping over a rock as you fell out of his arms, landing on the ground.

Pain shot up your legs while you lay there. Wait, what? Furrowing your eyebrows, you moved your legs, strangely enough finding them without any pain in response. Your hand covered your mouth, getting to your feet.

Your pulse raced in your chest, wobbly balancing yourself on your feet like a newborn faun. ''Heck yeah!'' You joyously laughed, running in front of the ninja, enjoying the feel of the land behind you without the wheelchair in place of it. The ninja's eyes opened wide at the sight of you on your feet.

While you were dancing and skipping around, a voice unlike Morro's nor your own chuckled in your mind.

'I've decided to give you a second chance if you make sure your Past Self's legs heal.' A feminine elderly person's voice spoke. A chill rippled down your spine, breaking you out of your focus and making you trip over your own feet.

''Dang, it.'' You grumbled. Jay held out a hand and you took it, getting to your feet. ''Thank you, Jay.''

''Garmadon must have tried to prevent them from meeting Wu, but for what reason?" Zane inquired.

You decided to keep silent, remembering the voice's words. Perhaps you still fell from the cliff, but what mattered now could be if you found a way to prevent the injury from becoming impossible to recover from or not.

When it was finally nighttime, the team decided to make their move, creeping along the roof of the Monastery while you tried to keep up, a few roof tiles sliding down when you dislodged them. Cole grabbed it before it could shatter.

Kai went his way to do what he had to do while you joined the remaining three in entering via the rafters to Nya's room. Dropping onto the floor silently, Zane handed Cole a bag and he pulled out enough masks that appeared to be Skullkin masks.

''Time to play our parts.'' The Earth Ninja told you.

You slipped your mask on as the others did the same. ''These don't look all too convincing.'' You observed.

''We'll have to act quickly while Kai is keeping himself busy,'' Zane told the group, pulling the sack in his grasp over Nya's head and muffling her screams.

Opening your palms while the others were distracted, you conjured up an illusion strong enough to conceal the other's gis, and your own clothes as well, replacing them with the ribcages of the skeletons.

Somewhere in the Monastery, Past You heard the muffled screams of Nya, going to help even with the splints that Past Zane put on their legs. When they arrived in the to-be samurai girl's room, they found her gone.

Jay hauled the bag with Past Nya in it, the Lightning Ninja trying to ignore her requests to let her out. ''Unhand me, Skeletons!'' She demanded.

''Oh, I'm sorry, Nya.'' Jay accidentally spoke her name.

''How'd you know my name?'' Past Nya questioned. ''Oh, when my brother finds out about this, you'll be sorry!''

''Actually, he'll be quite relieved,'' Cole told her.

Zane spotted three ninja in dark gis. ''Huh, guys, we've got company.'' They looked back at you and the others.

''Uh, isn't that, uh, us?'' Bluebird nervously asked.

''Better lower our masks so they don't recognize us,'' Cole told the others, while you already had your mask on. Jay leapt into action as his past self came at him. You moved along the roof, wanting to remain out of trouble, though your past self came outside. ''Let's not hurt ourselves.'' Cake Devourer informed. Zane put away his shurikens. ''I'd hate to leave a mark.''

Zane began throwing roof tiles at his past self, while you decided to stay with Nya who was still in the bag, yelling for help. One of the past ninja knocked into you, making the bag roll down and fall off the roof, your past self catching her.

''I've got you, Nya!'' Your past self exclaimed though that moment was cut short when Kai knocked into them, taking the bag into his clutches. He jumped up onto the roof, rushing to the top.

''Guys, uh,'' Kai deepened his voice. ''let's get out of here.'' The others spun into Spinjitzu, knocking their past selves off the tiled roof.

Past Wu rushed out into the courtyard, stopping at the fallen past ninja. ''They took Nya!'' He told Past Kai.

Now awake, Past Kai panicked. ''Huh? They took my sister? NOOOOOO!''

Past Wu rested a hand on Past Kai's back. ''We'll get your sister back. But first, I want you to meet your team.'' The past ninja unmasked themselves, while Past You grumbled and returned to their room.

''Looks like the fire returned,'' Kai said with a smile.

''You said it.'' A hopeful smile appeared on your face.

''All we gotta do to get everything back on track is to deliver Nya to the Skeletons,'' Cole told the others, as the future ninja arrived at the Forest of Tranquility, and then found the Skullkin Camp.

Perched above Past Samukai, Kai dropped the bag containing his sister into the skeleton's arms. He looked up, spotting no one above him.

You stared at the pile of leaves that rested in front of your past sleeping form, the others asleep as well with the campfire long since burned out. A thought came to you while you sat there in the trees along with the present ninja and Past Wu.

On that night, after the leaf you had selected was used, you found yourself near the entrance of the Fire Temple with a few feathers strewn across your front. Following that, you realised your legs numbed while you were unaware.

Was it possible that the leaf caused that? That you didn't use the right one, and thus, it impacted your recovery? Your gaze settled on the orange leaf sandwiched between the ground and another leaf blacked to charcoal, mostly covered in soot but for the most part relatively unharmed.

''Ugh, why are we still here? I thought everything is back on track.'' Jay grumbled.

''Yeah, but we have to stay and make sure all goes as planned,'' Cole told him. You snuck out of the tree while he was speaking, carefully taking the orange leaf and replacing the leaf you had chosen that night with it.

''So what exactly happens next?'' Past Wu questioned as you went back to your spot.

''Our former selves have most of the Golden Weapons. Shadow Garmadon now should have my sister. And in about one minute, I get woken up and tricked into taking the Sword of Fire that will eventually unleash the greatest nemesis unto Ninjago.'' Kai informed.

''Nya, wait up!'' Past Kai rushed after who he thought was his sister. You gestured for Zane to stay back a bit while the others followed the two past selves.

You looked at your past self as they stirred awake, glancing at the others who were still asleep before their gaze fell on the smouldering campfire, with a few leaves scattered around it, some more burnt than others.

They did one more check to ensure no one was watching, then to where Past Kai formerly was. You heard a shout cut through the air, easier to hear what it was now, along with heavy footsteps sounding somewhere nearby. Your past self panicked, snatching the orange leaf up and shoving it onto their dishevelled hair.

Zane held back a gasp beside you as your past self's appearance began to change, their clothes disappearing as feathers appeared, growing smaller and smaller until a bird stood in their place.

You noticed Past Zane's eyes shot open just in time to see your past self as a bird spread its wings, flying high into the night.

Stunned, Zane promptly followed you to the Fire Temple before your past self could arrive.

You entered the volcano with Zane behind you, finding a rock to hide behind to watch the scene unfold.

''You can't hurt us! You're only a shadow!'' Past Kai boldly shouted, looking up at Past Garmadon's shadowy self with the Sword of Fire in his grip.

''This time, I'm actually much more!'' Past Garmadon announced.

''Wait, he never said that before. Something's different.'' Kai realised, looking at the Past Garmadon.

Fourarmadon revealed himself, gripping the Mega Weapon with all four of his arms.

''G-Garmadon?'' Past Kai stammered. ''But you're supposed to be trapped in the Underworld.''

''Oh, there's so much more you don't know.'' Garmadon said, looking at Past Kai.

''Go, future me. Destroy him!'' Past Garmadon commanded. Garmadon laughed, charging at Past Kai while he did the same, the two fighting when their weapons met.

''Ugh, we have to do something. I don't stand a chance against Garmadon's four arms. Wait, that's it!'' Kai spoke, getting an idea.

The Sword of Fire got knocked out of Past Kai's grasp, landing on the ground. Kai leapt in front of his Past Self, his eyes on the two Garmadons both past and present and holding the Sword of Fire.

''Two Kais?'' Past Garmadon questioned from behind Present Garmadon.

''Yeah.'' Past Kai replied, smiling.

''I guess I have four arms too,'' Porcupine said as his past self outstretched his arms behind him to make it look like he also had four arms.

''Dork.'' You chuckled a little.

The two Kais worked together against Garmadon, Present Kai running along the wall with the help of his past self and launching himself at Garmadon to deliver a strike that knocked him back. Zane appeared, landing in front of Garmadon and making him back up.

''Now, I've got you,'' Cole said as Garmadon backed into him, attempting to grab the Mega Weapon but the four-armed lord overpowered him before he could, throwing him into the others, and you included, landing on a rock that sat in the lava. ''Aah! I think it's safe to say the past has drastically changed.''

Both Garmadons laughed triumphantly.

Zane got to his feet. ''I was thinking about that. It could be possible to erase the events that have transpired so far by destroying the Mega Weapon that brought us here in the first place.'' He informed.

''You mean if we destroy that weapon, everything goes back to normal?'' Kai questioned. You took a sharp intake of breath, worried.

''Uh, theoretically.'' Zane's answer loosened your worried expression a bit.

''But nothing can destroy the Mega Weapon. Only a weapon of equal power has any chance of stopping it.'' Cole told the nindroid.

''Haha, like maybe the weapons forged to create it in the first place?'' Jay's voice made you look at him, spotting the Golden Weapons he had brought in his grasp, Wu standing beside him.

''No!'' Garmadon shouted, seeing the Weapons.

''The Golden Weapons!'' Cole exclaimed, you got up as the others did.

''Yeah, I thought these might come in handy.'' Jay threw the other Weapons to the other ninja, with Kai plucking his Sword out from the rock it was embedded in.

''Okay, no time to find out how you got these. We have to destroy the Mega Weapon once and for all. Fire!'' He aimed the tip of his Sword at the Mega Weapon, blasting his element out of it. The other ninja did the same with their respective Weapons.

''Lightning!''

''Earth!''

''Ice!''

''No! What are you doing?'' Garmadon shouted, grasping the Mega Weapon. His frantic gaze landed on you. ''(Y/n)! Stop them! You will not be able to walk again if you let it happen!''

You froze in your spot, as the ninja's elements were concentrated on the Mega Weapon. Gritting your teeth, you glared back at him, clenching your fists in refusal to do anything to help him.

''Ninja, go!'' Wu shouted, the Weapons finally overwhelming the Mega Weapon and flying out of their owner's grasp, floating to each other and surrounding the Mega Weapon before it was just the Mega Weapon. It shot upward, into the skies and beyond.

The temple began collapsing, Past Nya fading while Past Kai tried to help her.

''Nya! What's happening!?'' He and Past Wu disappeared as well, and your surroundings went dark.

They brightened and different colours appeared in your vision. Memories from the past rushed by, allowing you to get a glimpse of each, with one of Mr Tanek watching as you wobbly stood up from your wheelchair, struggling to stand.

''Allocate yourself some time each day to practice walking and to strengthen your legs, staying in that wheelchair will not help your recovery as much as you'd like it to. Don't go for too long, though, you still need to rest.'' He instructed. Past You nodded.

The letter from before the monastery burnt down appeared. It seemed to be different.

...I thought it was your Star Ball thingy majig but she was quick to deny that was the problem. In other news, your appointment is tomorrow.

No mauve-coloured mark like a water splotch was present on the page.

Colours overtook your vision again, swirling around you. Briefly, it felt like you were flying as they surrounded you, almost overwhelmingly. The calmness you had felt back then persisted until the brightness faded, leaving you sitting on the floor back on Destiny's Bounty.

Remo sat in front of you, searching through his small deck of cards for a yellow one. His tail wiggled excitedly, placing down a green one that matched the reverse symbol. Though he didn't have another green card, it seemed.

Grinning, you put down a green skip card. The little snake groaned, seeing your empty hands. ''I win.'' You proudly announced.

''Did we just, uh...?'' Jay started, looking around and holding his nunchucks.

''Return to the future?'' Kai finished his sentence.

''This feels familiar, but weren't we training Lloyd?'' Cole questioned.

''The future was altered and there is no Green Ninja,'' Zane answered in dismay.

Lloyd panted, rushing in. ''Sorry I'm late, guys. Are we ready to get training?''

''Ha! You're still here!'' Kai said in relief, joining the others in hugging the confused boy.

''Uh, yeah. Why wouldn't I be?'' The Green Bean questioned.

''So when we went back in time and destroyed Garmadon's Mega Weapon, that didn't change anything?'' Jay asked. Snickering, you stood up and walked over, the others turning their attention to you as their reactions varied.

''Are you sure about that?" You asked, raising an eyebrow. Zane smiled, while Kai in his shock noticed you were taller than him, and Jay's jaw dropped. Lloyd was confused at their reactions and Kai went to grab the watermelon.

''You h-had b-broken bones...'' The Lightning Ninja stuttered in surprise.

''What broken bones?" You questioned, shrugging with a knowing smirk.

''My father has a Mega Weapon?'' Lloyd inquired.

Kai regained his composure yet again. ''Oh, wait a minute, you've never heard of it?'' He sliced the melon with his sword, giving out a piece to everyone.

''I-I think I would've remembered that. Why? What is it? Should I be concerned?'' Lloyd asked, and laughter came from the others in the room. Even you allowed yourself a chuckle. ''Hey, what are you guys laughing at? What's so funny?'' He questioned, borrowing Kai's sword to carve a dragon on his slice.

''Hahaha, I think some things are best left in the past. Come on. Let's just prepare for the future.'' Kai told Lloyd. Everyone laughed.

''I don't get it,'' Lloyd admitted.

''You will, in time.'' You replied.

Out on the deck, you attempted to train yourself, practising kicks and punches. The cool air graced your cheek, tickling it slightly.

'I could not wait to see you finally standing alongside them.' Morro admitted. 'If I'm in your mind for who knows how long, I would've gone insane if everyone you did was at a tortoise's pace.'

'Thank you, Master of Air, how about you show us your amazing skills? Oh, wait, haha, I remember, you're trapped in my mind.' You kicked forward, grunting.

''Hey, what are you doing?" A voice called from behind you.

You turned around to meet Nya with a bright smile on your face. ''I'm mainly practising my kicking.''

''And that's exciting?" Nya questioned.

''Well, for me it is, at least. It's nice not having to be in a room and just getting a breath of fresh air, you know?" You asked, hoping she would understand. She met your gaze with a smile, nodding.

Remo yawned, exhausted. You looked at him, unable to resist yawning as well, gazing up at the night sky. ''I should get to bed.''

''Sounds like you had a big day.'' Nya mused.

''Yeah, it was.'' You walked over to her, holding your arms out for a hug.

Eagerly, she hugged you, warmth rising to her face. Pulling out of it, you took your time walking back to your room, relishing in the feeling of having your legs back. Nya smiled when you vanished below deck, her face still warm.

In your room, the bedside lamp was already on before you entered. Stretching, you walked over to your bed, only to stop.

The Orange Ninja gi sat folded up on your bed, its metallic details glinting in the light.

Approaching it, you ran your fingers along the flexible but comfortable fabric, the gi coincidentally already in your size. Closing your bedroom door, you slipped it on, admiring the sleeves and the shoulder pauldrons. It felt right.

You pulled the hood over your head, the part covering most of your face except for your eyes and made with some breathable material so you would be able to fight without having to worry too much about suffocating in it.

A note sat beside where the gi used to be. Picking it up, you read it. The writing was neat, a normal length spanning the width of the paper, signed at the end.

I believe this is yours.

-Sensei Wu

''Now, this is where the fun truly begins.'' You murmured to yourself, looking at your reflection in the nearest mirror with a smirk under your mask. Changing back into your pajamas, you jumped into bed, pulling the covers over yourself.

Should I go with the OG's decision and go for a manriki kusari (the Japanese weapon with weights on both ends of its chains)? Or use a different weapon this time going forward?

I wrote this chapter in a day. It was fun and felt refreshing to have something that reminded me of the old times, coincidentally while it was about a time travel episode which is cool. :)

If anyone does want to make a custom Orange Ninja outfit, that would be awesome. I will dedicate the next chapter to whoever does it (or the next one after it should it come at that time).
