Never Ending Maze

After giving me such a thorough explanation Blaze grabbed me firmly by the wrist and dragged me down the cobbled streets, as we ran street vendors and normal people alike cursed us as Blaze rudely shoved them out of the way.

"It's that bat-crazy woman's fault!" Blaze screamed as we ran.

At this point I didn't bother asking.

Blaze looked to her left and pulled me hastily into a small alleyway that was relatively sheltered by another building's overhang, similar to the one we camped out in last night.

"Will you tell me what happened?" I asked, Blaze looked up with a sheepish grin.

I knew she had done something.

Click.

And just like clockwork my mind put two and two together "It has something to do with the blanket I woke up in doesn't it? Speaking of that where is it?" I asked, Blaze looked mildly surprised at my current talkativeness, but so sue me I was curious.

I looked at her and huffed slightly, the warm air blowing my pale green bangs out of my eyes "Well?" I asked. Blaze's eyes snapped to attention as she opened her mouth to explain "Look, I returned the blanket to the young mother, okay? And I had it like a baby. Then this kid saw and mud had run down and it looked like blood... And then the mother tried to kill me with a frying pan." she concluded lamely. I blinked and stared for a pregnant moment.

"I see..."

I would never get used to Blaze.

I shook my head suddenly and took on a more serious look "So they think you killed a child?" I asked with a solemn voice. Blaze looked truly apologetic as she nodded "Yea..." I took a deep, steadying breath and told her grimly

"Then you have a bounty over your head, just like me."
