Best Summer Ever

Finally the time had come for which I was eagerly waiting. Sophia and Aisha, my nieces along with my sister, brother-in-law and Harsh, my very bashful nephew are soon going to be along with us in a few hours. My happiness knew no bounds.

Sophia, beautiful, fair complexion, perfectly perfect sparkling black eyes, cute nose which turns red whenever she cries (hardly she cry), sharp mind, funny in her own way which I can't deny but when it comes to be serious she gets it too in her own way. Her pretty smile enhances her beauty. Most important a diehard fan of Tom Cruise and Andrew Garfield, the Hollywood actors and not-to-forget 'Zayn Malik', a member of the UK boy band 'One Direction', Alaistar Cook, the England cricketer and the list goes on. She is much taller than me and I sometimes feel jealous of her for this, she banters me saying "you are my aunt and I'm taller than you, you should be ashamed of yourself". I'm like I don't fuss about it. I always make sure she is not wearing heels when she is with me. She is 5'6 without wearing heels then how much she would be with heels?

Aisha or Bookworm, quick witted, sweet innocent face, wheatish complexion, long pointed nose, something I love the most in her face is her black almond shaped eyes. She also is a fan of Zayn Malik, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, cristiano ronaldo, lionel messi and the list goes on. Her cheesy line 'Maasi Maa samaan hoti hai' which means 'aunt is like mother' which she always uses to tell me whenever I refuse to do something for her, she makes puppy faces so that I do it for her. Crazy over the game GTA 'Vice City' including Harsh, people say she looks like me but I don't think so. Sometimes she really comes up with pathetic ideas which she needs to admit. I remember she took me along with her in her PTA meeting, her teacher complimented her saying others to be like her, and she added, if ever she doesn't understands anything she tells us to repeat it again''. I was jaw dropped like 'not a single complaint'. I want her to keep shining like this and don't want her to change. Both Sophia and Aisha are my inspiration, motivation and my sympathizers too.

Harsh, 5 years old, a maniac over his favorite game GTA 'Vice City', I love the way he talks in his childish manner, I wish I too had the curved eye lashes like he has, love to be with him and also the way he makes me understand his cartoon characters and irk me whenever I'm on computer saying I want to play GTA.

Soon after about a month my sister, brother-in-law and nephew left for Lucknow and the best thing was Sophia and Aisha were still with us. Soon within a couple of weeks my Mom and Dad too left for Lucknow to attend my cousin's wedding.

So now it's only we three along with my elder sister and elder brother. As we are nocturnal we used to stay up all night talking, laughing, sharing and sometimes we even watched TV. We celebrated everyday like it's now or never and there's never gonna be a tomorrow. Everyday seemed like more enthusiastic than yesterday.

Our lives were getting more super elated day by day. Nights were just superb. Cups of tea along with biscuits, snacks and noodles. We were enjoying our best. Sometimes we did miss our mums but then we changed our minds.

The craziest thing we've done lately was we were up till 6 o'clock in the morning just because we were watching 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid- Rodrick rules' we all are done with the novels written by Jeff Kinney. They were awesome!

In the middle of all this excitement one of the most exciting thing for us was IPL (Indian Premier League) a club cricket played by national, international and local cricketers representing various cities of India. It's the most popular form of cricket in India. People go crazy for it, they wait eagerly for this series to start and we were one among them. Crazy cricket fans!

The Final match was between Mumbai Indians vs. Chennai Super Kings. I and Aisha cheering for Mumbai to win while everyone else for Chennai and they were like DHONI! DHONI! DHONI! The super famous Indian captain or I can say 'the lucky charm' playing for Chennai. I prayed for 'Mumbai Indians' to win only because of 'Rohit Sharma', the Indian cricketer playing for Mumbai Indians. I remember 'Adam Gilchrist', the Australian cricketer, there was a time when he too was my favorite but now new comers beat him in my 'celebrity-crush-list'. He also said Rohit Sharma is my 'Mr. Reliable' of the team when he used to be his teammate in Deccan Chargers (Hyderabad). But later on, Mumbai Indians bought him in the auction. It is held before the IPL starts so that the owners can chose and spend money on whichever player they choose. He is one of my celebrity crush.

In just another minute, unfortunately everything shattered in front of my eyes. I still can't believe this. I mean this isn't possible. Someone just tell me it's a nightmare. Chennai Super Kings won the final match. They defeated Mumbai Indians. They are the new champions of IPL. Everyone started bantering saying someone was cheering for 'Mumbai Indians'.

From that night I didn't talk to any of the Chennai supporters for almost two days.
