When he heard Piper gasping for breath, he shot up in worry.
"Pipes! What's happening?" Jason said frantically.
"Can't. Breathe." She gasped.
Oh, no, Jason thought worriedly. He got up and Iris-messaged Will Solace, told him what was happening as quickly as he could.
"Try some nectar or ambrosia! Maybe an inhaler? PDA! No, that won't work.I don't know! Trust your instincts." Will explained frantically.
Jason tried feeding her some nectar and ambrosia, no luck. An inhaler? He didn't have one. PDA? Jason knows nothing on how to do it and is afraid he will suffocate her. Maybe she's choking, he thought. Jason gently wrapped his arms around her stomach from the back and performed the Heimlich maneuver. She coughed. And a glowing green liquid came out of her mouth (I know that's gross). Jason went over to it, bent down, and examined the neon green liquid that seemed to be steaming on the wooden floor. He Iris-messaged Will once again and showed him the slim.
"She choked out about half of the gorgon's blood!" Will exclaimed.
"No way!" Jason said with excitement.
"But she still has only about two months to live, but this has narrowed it down a bit, maybe we actually have a chance to invent an antidote!" Will exclaimed.
"Alright," Jason sighed, disappointed.
He disconnected the Iris-message and cleaned up the poison, careful of not to touch a single drop of it. He raced over to Piper to check if she was okay. He wrapped his arms around her waist. She leaned back and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Thank you," Piper whispered.
"Anything for you, beauty queen." He replied quietly as he planted a kiss on her forehead.
He thought about how he'd been so hopeful when he found out that half of the poison was removed from her body. Thinking if there was only half the amount of poison left in her body, maybe godly food could heal it or that her body could fight it off, or simply having more time. Perhaps forever. Why i- his thoughts were interrupted by Leo bursting through the door.
"Leo!" Piper shouted as she gently untangled herself from Jason and ran over to give him a hug.
"Hey Pipes, what's up, Jason." Leo greeted as Jason pried Piper off Leo in his look of demand.
"I was waiting forever at the Grand Canyon, so I came here!" Leo explained after Jason gave him a questioning look.
"Oh," he replied.
"Wait, Leo, why are you here?" Piper asked.
"Jeez, beauty queen, if you don't like my company that much, I'll just leave." Leo joked.
"No, I mea-"
"I know what you mean, Jason hasn't told you? We are taking a trip where Dirt Face's (aka Gaea)children got their butt kicked! That's right! Uncle Leo taking you kids to Greece!"
Piper gasped. She threw her arms around Jason and gave him a nice, long kiss on the lips.
"We'd better hurry," Leo smirked. "Festus doesn't like waiting."
