I Would for You

I love you." Claudia smiled. "And if we are going to be honest." Claudia stated as she sat up a little. "I still hate your middle name. I mean Royal?" Claudia continued and Nathan rolled his eyes. Claudia would always moan about his middle name.

"Next kid we have are calling it Royal." Nathan replied before he turned on his side, his back facing Claudia. Claudia started to laugh and then her laughter died out once she realised Nathan wasn't joining in.

"Nathan we are not calling our kid, Royal." Claudia stated and she got no reply. She leaned on him a little, "Nathan?" Claudia whispered and she got no reply. "Nathan, I am pregnant." Claudia stated worriedly and Nathan turned over.

"Are you serious?" Nathan asked with a little light in his face and Claudia just bit her lip. "Claudia tell me." Nathan grinned excitably as he sat up a little. Claudia sat up too.

"I found on this morning." Claudia laughed and Nathan looked so excited. He hugged Claudia and just laughed excitably. "We're pregnant." Claudia exclaimed happily before she started to kiss Nathan and then she pulled away. "Oh my god what if we have triplets." Claudia stated worried and Nathan just laughed. "That would be crazy." Claudia added.

"True." Nathan stated but Claudia just shrugged her shoulders before she started to kiss Nathan again. They were happy. Claudia was going to have another child.

___

"Jamie, Gracie!" Claudia called as her and Nathan stood in the living room, they were away to tell the kids.

"Yeah." Grace stated as she ran into the living room and crawled onto her dad's knee. Jamie did the same onto his mom. Claudia couldn't stop grinning.

"Momma, why are you so happy?" Jamie asked a tear slipped out of Claudia's eye. Nathan held onto her hand.

"How would you like a brother or a sister?" Nathan asked his kids smirking and their little faces lit up.

"I am going to have a sister!" "I am going to have a brother!" Gracie and Jamie squealed in unison and Claudia just laughed.

"I don't know what gender the baby will be, but yes I am pregnant." Claudia laughed and her kids just bear hugged her. Claudia just laughed when Nathan joined in.

___

"Hi, Miss Lauren." Jamie smiled at his teacher before him and Gracie ran off to play with their friends. Lauren stopped Claudia.

"Claudia, hey. I have some good news for you. Jamie scored through the roof on his standardized tests." Lauren explained and Claudia grinned from ear to ear. At least one of her kids didn't have Nathan's IQ, she loved Nathan but he wasn't the brightest bulb.

"Really? Oh, that's great." Claudia smiled politely in her cute little english accent.

"I know, it is. Have you heard of the Oppenheimer school for the gifted?" Lauren asked Claudia and that was the school Claudia always wanted to go to. But, she never told her parents because they loved tour and Claudia didn't want to ruin that for them.

"Yeah, I used to dream of going there." Claudia answered smiling.

"Well, they tend to monitor these things, and they're really interested in meeting with Jamie." Lauren explained and Claudia couldn't stop smiling.

___

Claudia, Nathan and Jamie were walking down the halls of Oppenheimer. Claudia decided to change her style so she could fit in. She had curled her black hair and threw on a red wrap dress with white heels. She tried to look respectable. She also got Nathan to wear a suit. Gracie didn't come so she was at school.

"Oppenheimer has the best curriculum in North Carolina. We even have pre-kindergarten computer courses. And all of our students matriculate to top-tier universities." The Principal explained as they walked down the halls.

"So, this is where all the kids I beat up came from." Nathan joked to Claudia and she shook her head at him.

"I'm going to slowly kill you if you don't shut up." Claudia warned smiling kindly as they walked into one of the classrooms.

"Why don't we have Jamie take a seat while I show you two the rest of the campus?" The Principal suggested and Claudia looked at little scared at leaving Jamie. Claudia just nodded her head.

"Okay. Just have fun, okay, buddy?" Claudia smiled at her son.

"Bye, buddy." Nathan smiled at his son as he walked away. Claudia quickly looked at the all the kids in the classroom before she left with the principal and Nathan.

___

"Jamie, why don't you introduce yourself to the class? Go ahead. It's okay." The teacher instructed and Jamie just nodded her head as he walked up to the class. He was in the class all alone because his parents were getting a tour.

"How's everyone doing?" Jamie asked the class but they all stayed quiet. Jamie was getting really nervous. "Last week, my mom asked me how I like going to school. I told her, 'not as much as I like coming home from it'." Jamie joked but it didn't go down well.

"Why wouldn't you want to go to school?" A student asked and Jamie got really embarrassed.

"Here, why don't you put this on? That way you'll feel more comfortable." The teacher suggested sweetly as she handed Jamie a cardigan. Jamie put it on before he walked back to his seat, he didn't like the school. "Okay, students, it is time for recess. Everyone get your recess books out." The teacher instructed and Jamie just watched them all.

___

"So, what is this?" Nathan asked the teacher as they were back in the classroom. Claudia loved the school but Nathan not so much.

"Here at Oppenheimer, we don't offer sports. But we do try to incorporate them into learning exercises. This is called "Math-Ketball"." The teacher explained and Claudia sighed a little, that wasn't going to help her case to Nathan so Jamie could get into the school.

"Math-Ketball." Nathan sighed.

"We have some of the best "Math-Ketes" in the state." The teacher grinned proudly and Claudia smiled back at her as she nodded her head.

"That's a three-point "Math-Ket." In ... your ... face!" The boy smirked tauntingly at Jamie and Claudia looked at the little idiot angrily and all the kids that cheered him on. She couldn't help but notice how upset Jamie was.

"More like math-holes." Nathan whispered to Claudia.  "There's no way he's going here." Nathan stated aloud. "Come on, Jamie. You ready?" Nathan asked his son and Jamie's face lit up as he ran over to his parents.

"Thanks." Jamie smiled at the teacher before he walked out of the classroom with his dad. Claudia looked at all the smart children nervously before she turned to the teacher.

"It was nice meeting you." Claudia smiled at the teacher before she ran out after her husband and son.

They finally reached the car and Claudia buckled Jamie in before she closed the door and turned to face Nathan. They were waiting outside of the car.

"Nathan." Claudia sighed and Nathan just shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't want him to go here." Nathan stated sternly and Claudia could see that. He pulled him out of the class.

"Let's- let's just talk about it when we get home." Claudia stated before she got into the car. Nathan got in too. Claudia turned around to face Jamie who was in the back, she could see he was upset. "Hey Jim-Jam." Claudia smiled at her son. He looked up at his mom. "Want to play some music?" Claudia offered, that always seemed to cheer him up.

"Okay." He stated and Claudia just nodded her awkwardly before she slipped on the record, it turned out it was her unheard record. "Oh no." Claudia sighed as she tried to switch it off.

"Is this your album?" Nathan asked smiling and Claudia just looked at him wary.

"Keep it on momma." Jamie grinned and Claudia just pouted at her husband. She needed help but Nathan turned the song up.

___

"They put our son in a cardigan." Nathan stated as he made some weird protein shake. Claudia hated them.

"I used to wear cardigans." She replied objectively.

"And that's because you were a nerd." Nathan remarked and Claudia just sighed. Her hormones were going all over the place. She shoved the drawer closed.

"See, it's comments like that that make me wish I'd had an opportunity to go to a school like Oppenheimer." Claudia explained and then she realised one flaw. "But I don't think I would have fitted in considering I was a stoner and all but still." Claudia continued pointing a finger at Nathan.

"Oh, yeah, and then you could have lettered in Math-Ketball. Look, that little Jackass was talking trash to our son." Nathan replied and Claudia sighed a little.

"Like you've never talked trash before? And when somebody talks trash to you on the court, doesn't it motivate you? You know it does." Claudia explained knowing that she was right.

"Well, Jamie's not even gonna see a court, all right? 'cause they don't even have one." Nathan argued back at his wife.

"He would get an excellent education there, and there is more to school than just sports." Claudia explained but she didn't understand Nathan's point and Nathan didn't understand Claudia's point.

"Well, there's more to school than just school." Nathan replied.

"This coming from a "C" student." Claudia retorted back at him.

"A "C" plus. And you were my tutor." Nathan corrected her and Claudia turned to face him.

"We made out the whole time." Claudia shouted back at him before she continued to walk away angry.

___

"Hey. Can we talk?" Claudia asked her husband as she walked onto the River Court. Nathan was playing basketball with Grace, Jamie and Skills.

"Yeah, sure. You got this, Skills?" Nathan asked Skills.

"I got this. All right, one on four." Skills answered before he started to play basketball with the twins.

"It's my ball." Jamie sighed

"Hey. Um, so, I was thinking ..." Claudia began to say as her and husband walked together before Nathan interrupted her.

"Me too. Um, I think I was a little harsh about the new school." Nathan admitted and Claudia nodded her head.

"Great, because I was thinking it's probably not such a great idea to send him there." Claudia explained.

"Why the change of heart?" Nathan asked Claudia confused. He knew that Claudia really wanted Jamie to go.

"Because he loves basketball, and he likes his teacher. He has his sister. He's got all his friends there. And would you rather him be a big fish in a little pond or a little fish in a big pond?" Claudia asked her husband pointedly.

"That's the same reason Dan gave for not sending me to oak lake academy. We want Jamie to be a big fish in a big pond. Dan never gave me that option. Maybe Jamie deserves to have all the opportunities we didn't have, you know?" Nathan explained and Claudia knew he had a good point.

"So, basically, we just flip-flopped?" Claudia asked him pouting a little.

"Yeah, I guess we did." Nathan answered as he laughed a little.

"We suck at this." Claudia sighed before she laughed. Her and Nathan continued to walk off happily.

___

"I don't want to leave. I like it here. Especially with you and the little guy." Nathan explained before he placed his hands on Claudia's stomach.

"Or girl." Claudia corrected and Nathan just cracked a smile. "You mean, you don't want to leave and go back to your pro-basketball career? You know what happened to the boy that got everything he ever wanted?" Claudia asked her husband pointedly.

"He lived happily ever after. I know, and I am happy. It's just there's this new guy, Nino, and he's a pain in the ass. And Bobby expects me to help him transition to shooting guard." Nathan answered.

"Well, I'm sure Bobby wouldn't have asked you to do it if he didn't think you could handle it." Claudia explained and Nathan sighed.

"I ... I don't know, Claude." Nathan replied uncertain just as Jamie walked in. He was in his pyjamas, he must have left his bedroom to come down to speak to them.

"Can I talk to you guys?" Jamie asked his parents and Claudia nodded her head.

"What's on your genius of a mind, little man?" She asked her eldest grinning.

"Well, I've been thinking about everything. And I think I should get to pick where I go to school." Jamie answered with such bravery. Claudia admired him for that.

"Is that right?" Nathan asked his son smirking.

"Well, if you could pick, where would you go?" Claudia asked him before she grinned at Nathan.

"I want to stay at my school. I like my friends. I also don't want to leave Gracie. I like my teacher. And besides, I did good on that test because you guys teach me stuff. And I like it that way. So, can I stay? Please?" Jamie pleaded and Claudia knew then that Jamie was going to stay in his school, she didn't have a normal childhood. She was either touring with the 'Funky Bunch' or trying to get through school with Lucas and Haley.

"We'll talk about it." Nathan promised.

"I really appreciate you coming to us though, baby." Claudia grinned at her son who was way to grown up for five years old.

"Okay. Good night." Jamie said to his parents.

"Good night." Nathan smiled at his son.

"Love you." Claudia smiled at her son before he walked back up stairs to his bed.

"The kid makes a lot of sense." Nathan laughed and Claudia nodded her head.

"Yeah, maybe we should have asked him first since he's the genius." Claudia joked laughing and then she got an idea. "You know, you could learn a thing or two from that kid. Well, he and chuck used to hate each other, and now he doesn't want to leave him." Claudia explained.

"And your point?" Nathan asked confused.

"My point is that maybe you should go back to Charleston and play nice." Claudia answered.

"All right." Nathan smiled and Claudia just kissed her husband happily.

"Okay, I want ice cream." She sighed before she walked over to the fridge, this pregnancy was going to be something else. Claudia believed that it was going to be a lot different than the last one.
