Dreams and Deception

Alyssa was born in late 98AC to the proclaimed wealthiest house in Westeros, House Velaryon . She is the daughter of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, and great-granddaughter to the old king Jaehaerys I Targaryen and the Good Queen Alyssane Targaryen.

Alyssa was born true to her Baratheon heritage, black of hair and brown of eyes. Her Grandmother is Jocelyn of the House Baratheon. Alyssa is a true beauty, with her brown curls which she keeps long and wears loosely, brown eyes and slender body. Alyssa is kind-hearted, clever, graceful, playful, curious, impulsive, and given to flights of fancy with a mischievous side. She loves music, dancing and poetry. Alyssa loved flying even more; the small folk whispered that she spent more time flying on her dragon, Grey Ghost, than her own family.

In 103AC, Alyssa's claim to the Iron throne was put forward at once during the Great Council, but she was passed over, together with her mother, on the account of sex by what Alyssa would call them "Old fools". From then on, her mother and herself were referred to as "The Queen who never was" and "The Queen who will never be".

Her family lived in Driftmark during her early years, but her youngest memories were at the Red keep because of her father's role as the Master of Ships, commanding the royal fleet and a member of the Small Council at Kings landing. Amidst those years, her siblings Laena and Leanor were born and Alyssa was very pleased with her younger siblings. The family was whole, her parents' marriage was a love match which gave a strong foundation for the family. House Velaryon is a wealthy one in gold and in love.

Alyssa was raised alongside her second cousin Rhaenyra Targaryen, as they were close in age, Rhaenyra being just a year older, the pair bonded as they hid away from their Septa's' together. More so, the pair mounted their dragons the same year and . Alyssa mounting Grey Ghost and Rhaenyra, Syrax. To both of them, they were closer than cousins, they are sisters, they are blood. They were later joined by the Hand of the king's daughter, Alicent of House Hightower, and the three formed an unbreakable friendship.

Now in 112AC, the ninth year of the chosen successor, King Viserys Targaryen I, this is the peak of the Targeryan dynasty and 70 years after the vicious reign of Maegor the Cruel. Westoros is at the apex of Targaryen success, the realm is at peace and the people are thriving.

And so the Dance Begins...
