Aidan grits his teeth as he dodges the next attack, ducking away to land his punch. He tries to push through his fatigue to get the shoot done, trying to make sure he doesn't twist his foot on the slippery ground. He desperately wanted the shoot to be over and done with, growing more and more tired and annoyed. All he wanted to do was to call (y/n) and fall asleep blissfully to her voice. He just needed to get out of his mind and he blinks in confusion when someone was calling out to him.

"Aidan! Your phone!" He turns to Steve and Jeff sheepishly, trying to hide his smile when he recognised the ringtone he specifically set for his girlfriend.

"Sorry!" He calls out and the crew decides to give everyone a break. The brunette was especially thrilled about that, rushing to pick up his phone he forgets to silence every now and then on set. He didn't need to silence his phone since he doesn't get calls often, his girl knowing not to call him since he was busy. She never does during the day because she didn't want to disturb him, waiting for him to send her a message back when he was home and only then would she call him.

But rarely when she does call him by accident, he will drop whatever it is to talk to her. Even if it was a shoot.

"Hey (y/n)!"

Aidan grins when he sees her face, noticing how excited she looked on screen.

"Oh my god, I need to show you something!"

(Y/n) gasps out, passing her phone to someone who switches the screen to show her opening a can. The brunette absolutely adores how excited his girl was when she unwrapped what was in the metal can, revealing a small Five Hargreeves figure.

"Look how fucking goofy Five looks! I love it!"

"He's cute (y/n)."

"He's adorable! He's so small! He's coming home with me in his can and I'll put him on the shelf with my other Five figures!"

Oh how much the boy loved that his girl had called him for such a simple thing she enjoyed, wanting to share it with him.

"Baby, I would've gotten you more if you wanted. I have plenty at home-"

"-baby!? What the hell do you mean baby!? You're dating someone!?"

"Oh! Yeah, meet my boyfriend Aidan."

Aidan waved as (y/n) stood with her friend who looked at the two of them with wide eyes.

"Nice to meet you."

"Hold on, since when did you get a boyfriend!? How come you didn't tell us!?"

"I thought I did? I told my other best friend and you two."

"Is this not the friend group you weren't going to tell about us (y/n)?"

"Oh no that's the five high school backstabbers. This is my friend from uni plus another who isn't here. The other is my bestie you know about since the beginning."

"Oh. I think I got it. Two from University, five from high school and your best friend."

"Exactly."

"Nah, backtrack here! You never told us!"

"I swear I did!"

The brunette chuckles as his girl tries to convince her friend she did tell her about them as a couple.

"Oh! Did I disturb your work!? I'm sorry! I'll call back later ok Aidan!"

"Baby, no you didn't. We can talk-"

"-bye!"

Aidan didn't know if it was the sudden excitable adrenaline that (y/n) got from showing him the small Five figure but she sent him air kisses before the phone call ends. He sits there blinking in surprise before a goofy smile grows on his face as he holds his phone dearly, absolutely in love with her.

"What's wrong with him?" Robert whispers to Tom as he looked over at the boy who had an absolutely lovesick smile on his face.

"(Y/n) sent me air kisses..." Aidan sighs happily, feeling lightweight and suddenly energetic now he had talked to his girlfriend. He felt so much better and got up to finish the rest of his shoot.

Oh, how he had completely and utterly fallen in love with her.

Aidan sighs heavily as he sat in his chair while scrolling through the messages he and (y/n) shared, rubbing his neck that had been annoying him for a couple minutes now. It was just another tiring day of filming and he drops his head back in exhaustion. He was so tired lately, just wanting to rest and do something else. He loved acting for sure but it was just periods of time where it felt like it was constant work, day in and day out, all night even. He wouldn't give up acting for anything else but he just needed to rest.

The brunette smiles softly as he re-reads the messages his girl sent to him the day before for his birthday. She had sent him a video of her making a small brownie birthday cake for him, talking to him and decorating it for him with candles and icing that said 'Happy Birthday'. He pressed on the video again to watch her set the cake down gently on the table, warning him that she can't sing before softly singing happy birthday to him. He chuckles as her sister walks past saying happy birthday then their mum, his girl crossing her arms at her family ruining the video but he loved it anyway. She blew out the candle for him when it hit twelve but because she was back home, she was a day early but he didn't mind.

Now it was Aidan's birthday in Toronto the next day and he was hoping to end his shoot to call (y/n) and talk to her. He nods to a crew member who walked past him and told him a happy birthday, thanking them before standing up to grab a drink. He walked out of the building towards the cafeteria, ignoring the paparazzi that was obviously there before walking in when his arms get grabbed.

"What-" he looks up to see Robert and Justin dragging him away from the cafeteria and towards an empty set, asking them what they were doing. "Guys why-" he stumbles when they let him go, turning around to face the older men who smirk at each other. "If this is another birthday prank, I appreciate the celebrations but I'm just tired today. So please-" he tries to walk off again but the taller men turn him around.

The brunette gasps when he sees the love of his life waving to him with a bright smile and he doesn't think twice before running towards her. "Aidan!" (y/n) screams out in excitement as she throws her arms in the air happily, squealing when he picks her up and spins her around.

"You're here!" he yells out happily, a wide smile on his face when he sets her down in front of him and squishes her cheeks. "You're actually here!" 

"Of course I am! Surprise Happy Birthday!" she exclaims, pulling back to pop party poppers that she had in her pockets, a cheeky grin on her face. 

Aidan couldn't help the sudden surge of pure joy and happiness seeing his love in front of him after so long, quickly pulling her back into his arms to kiss her. (y/n) smiles and leans up closer into the passionate kiss as she held his cheeks, lost in her own little world with the boy in front of her as he held her so dearly like she was just a figment of his imagination. 

He held her waist and caressed her cheeks as she moves closer to him, hooking her arms around his neck before he picked her up again. She pulls back and he smiles ever so lovingly at his love, pressing kisses all over her face and making her giggle. His cheeks officially started hurting from all the smiling but he couldn't help it, holding his girl tight while she plucked the colourful confetti streamers out of his hair and off his clothes.

"Happy 20th Birthday Aidan!" the cast screams out, the couple looking over when they realised they weren't alone. Ritu and Elliot were filming the couple, Tom handing (y/n) the large bouquet of flowers she bought for Aidan before passing it to him while David held a birthday cake with sparklers.

"You bought this for me?" the brunette gasps as he held the bouquet, looking over at his love who was smiling widely.

"Duh. Guys deserve flowers too! Blow out the sparklers before it dies out!" he chuckles and kisses his girl's cheek, blowing out the sparklers and everyone cheers. "Happy 20th birthday Aidan!" she jumps in excitement and he smiles warmly at how his girl came all the way here for him. 

Again.

"I still can't believe you're here (y/n). I thought-"

"-I took extra shifts to equal out my usual shifts for the next few months so I could see you!" He sighs softly, reaching out to brush his fingers against his love's cheeks and smiles at her.

"You must be so tired..." he mumbles sadly when he noticed the bags beneath her eyes as she leans into his palm.

"Eh, it's normal. Now, I talked to Steve and Jeff and they agreed to give you and everyone the next week off."

"Holy shit (y/n)!"

"Oh my fucking god!"

"You're an absolute legend!"

"Girl how did you do that!?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Finally!"

"Oh thank god!"

"(y/n) how!?" Aidan and the cast exclaim and she simply gives them a thumbs up.

"It's your birthday so obviously you need time off with your friends and family."

"You're amazing baby, you know that." the brunette grins as he pulls his love close by her necklace to steal one last kiss.

"I try." she muses, pulling back and grabbing his arm you pull him towards the exit with the others. "Now I heard you have one more scene to shoot before you get home so let's get that done! Cause you're going to need as much sleep as you can get for the next few days!"

"(y/n), what did you plan?" he raises his brow at his girl who doesn't say anything but just smiles.

"You'll see."
